My Own Imaginary Friend

"An entry to a contest.

This is the imaginary friend, Sir Reginald Lehrer (Sir Lehrer to most). When creating him, I tried to apply some "Foster's logic" to it. I noticed that the I.F.s in the show Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends tend to have a purpose. Not only are they chums, they have attributes that help their creators. (Like you might have created them so you could not be lonely, but end up learning how to open up to people)

Let's say Sir Lehrer was created by a eccentric and lonely child. Maybe they are intelligent too. Now this friend is here to be a strong male rolemodel, a creation made to be able to get the child to assert themselves. I can see him having a business/gentleman mentality out in public, but act as nuturing as a grandfather when alone with his creator. Haha, I can see him having tea parties. At the end of the day, I think he would make a great friend...though one will have to look through his strict nature.

His last name is a reference to Tom Lehrer, a hilarious musician. Do you see his hat? Alice in Wonderland reference for ya. Why a fox? I somewhat link him to the british fox from Marry Poppins. XD That's right, all foxes have British accents! Hmmm...Also a lot of Mister Herriman in this character."
(What I wrote for my description)

Sorry, I couldn't think of anywere else to post this...is that okay?

That's so cool! It has something to do with Foster's, so I'd think it's fine being here. I'm loving those spats. :bloosmirk: I've always been a fan of Mr. Herriman's spats, too. Very Edwardian era. Nice description too, you've put a lot of thought into it. How did said contest go?

Thumbs up from me!

Sorry but I can't help but picture him spending the day with Bloo. 8D

Nice work! :) :herriman:

Well done; definitely reminds me of our favorite rabbit. I have to wonder how they'd get along, given Mr. Herriman's fear of dogs. 8D

Oh, right section too, I think. ;)

As in the results? Well, it's on deviantart and ends in April. All you had to do was create an I.F.

Hmm...Maybe Sir Lehrer would get hungry evertime he was around Herriman, and never figure out why?

Thanks everyone. I hope I do well in the contest. *crosses fingers*
