"Cheese Go Home!" - Interactive Fiction Game
 

When the forum was down I had time to finish my little text adventure I started on...what, years ago? :P Anyways. It's up now.

If you have trouble even getting it to run, online or offline, ask me for help here (that way other people with the same questions can see). If I can't answer you, Government Man may be able to, he's the one who told me how to do it. ;)

I am concerned about people even being able to figure out the solution. None of my beta testers way back when could do it. It's okay to ask me for hints, but try to use spoilers. I won't give the solution here but if you really have to have it, PM me. It's important for me to know whether or not I made the game too tricky. :P

Please report any typos or the game doing things you don't think I meant for it to do. Also please feel free to make suggestions as to actions you can't perform in the game that you think you should. If it's not possible, I'll just say so.

ANYWAYS. In the game you play Frankie, who has plans to go to the Fair tonight with Kathy, but Cheese showed up while you were making dinner and WON'T LEAVE. If you can't get him out of the house by six, Mr. Herriman won't let you go out tonight. So use your head, and find a way to make him leave. Knowledge of one particular episode (not saying which) will be helpful, and examine *everything*.

I'm sorry, but I have no idea how to play. I'm more accustomed to the style of the other games. ^^;

If you can type on a forum, you can play interactive fiction.

But I get it, nobody cares. *shrug* Whatever.

The game has been updated with a full hint menu, some more actions to try, and I also made some cover art:

Basically, if you try it and it doesn't work, it's not important. But you're thinking, that's good. ;) Also if you think that certain things should be doable (not to solve the game of course but just in general) let me know.

Uhm... I have a question. I've tried to play a couple of times now, but I always hit the same roadblock-- how simple should the verbs I use be? I type in very simple verbs, but I often get the same response: That is not a verb I recognize.

Am I doing something wrong? :P

"That's not a verb I recognise" is basically the default error message. You could type "xyuxxit" and it'd say it didn't recognise the verb.
