More updates!

There is a possibility that they will extend BFAHP because I have seen that there are more spaces for coming movies in the mall.::)

There are also more spaces for gifts at the mall arcade. I would think that if this was the last update planned the number of spaces would have been exactly the number of gifts shown now.

the current update will fill all the photo albums

So I think this will be the last update.

But didn't they add more slots to Bloo's photo album after one of the updates? I thought I had read that in a post. I don't know where they would put more games though as there is really no place in the mall arcade and there are only 1 or 2 places in the house arcade to put new games.

The IF album was expanded a few months into the game

The Bloo and Mac album was expanded back in the begining of this year in prep for the current updates

The arcade in the house was actually expaned several times. It originally could barley hold the first 6 mini-games.

So it is not a matter of the ability to expand, it is more of a issue of no hints of preperation for expansion.

I highly, highly doubt there will be more updates and additional features of the game. I'm with Monty on this one. Not only did they add on way earlier in the game, but there is simply no more room in many of these locations (and on the map) to add more.

Yes, theoretically they could extend the map by having us "fly" places, but c'mon, how likely is that. And where and why would we be flying there in the first place. Just doesn't make sense. Also, there may be extra slots in those places, but that doesn't make it a forgone conclusion that something HAS to go there.

They extended the game once, don't think they will do it again. Look at the activity on this site alone. There was no activity on this board until we finally got the Oct update. I'd venture to think that they have seen a significant drop in users of the game, as well.

It's a great and fun game, but all things must come to an end.

I agree with vicks and monty. It saddens me to say this, but I do think the game is over. I just hope they keep it up long enough so I can do the adventures that I missed. Which they probably will.

Divelucaya 10-22-2007 01:39 PM

I was worried about seeing the game go away before I got a couple things accomplished, i.e., getting all the rooms of furniture and at least a couple photo albums filled. I only have 2 levels of Haunted House to go to finish off the last room of furniture and have filled 3 photo albums, so I am quite content with the game ending soon, if it is to be. I only had 3 or 4 games in the house arcade that I had either not started or not completed all 3 levels using my account but got to play them using my son's account (he, by the way, lost all interest about a month or two ago, now playing other CN games, Nick games and NickJr games). Other than playing Cracking Up, I don't play any of the other games because it is too easy to lose gifts if you don't get a good score. So for me I log on, do my favor and chores, get a new adventure and game every 3 days and log off. So I can see interest waning with other people too because 1) the game is getting "old" or 2) with no word of new updates there is a what's-the-point attitude. I agree with Vicks that the declining interest could somewhat be measured by the total lack of postings for nearly 3 weeks.

you do not loose gifts with bad scores.

There is a bug that you may loose gifts under some conditions, these consist continuously replaying the same level, or the game crashing while playing. but one should not worry about these, because if you play the same game a lot, it should be easy to get a high enough score to get all the gifts back.

Yes, you do lose gifts with bad scores. If you play a game and do not get a score high enough to get on the board and then leave the game, when you come back all the gifts will be back on the board. This is how Vicks and I were able to put together a list of all the pictures you get with games. We had to "reset" all the gifts so we could win them back to see what pictures came with what games. I discovered this when my son kept losing his turkey buddy. He would play the laundry game and not do well and all the gifts I won for him were returned to the game when he didn't get a good score and then left the game to play another one. I kept having to win back the turkey buddy and the next day or so he would lose it again because he could not get a score high enough to make it on the list.

And for me, as I noted not being game savvy in some other thread, it does not mean squat how many times I play a game, inevitably I have a bad game and either lose my gifts or have to keep playing until I can get a score high enough to get on the list. Keep in mind if you've played a game really well more than 9 (or maybe its 11) times you're name will fill every slot on the high scores list excluding the top score that always belongs to an IF. So to not lose your gifts you need to get a score high enough to break your lowest game. I tried playing Cracking Up again yesterday and lost 2 lives before I could even break an egg (I must have been tired because I kept running under and getting hit by the egg). Some people are just very good at video games while other, like me, just plain suck at it. When Vicks and I put together the list of photos here (http://www.fosters-home.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2382) she went through and replayed all her games in a matter of a day or two. To me, that's great video gamesmanship because it took me a week or more and I had only half the number of games to play.
