R.I.P Pavarotti...
At 5:00 AM this morning, Pavarotti, the great tenner, passed away at the age of 71 after his battle with pelvic cancer.
http://www.cnn.com/2007/SHOWBIZ/Musi...tti.statement/ It's a shame really. The world has lost a great man of culture and ability. He will be missed. :( |
PBS won't be the same without him. Those pledge drives where he used to sing his heart out were the highlights of weekends long past.
|
I wasn't really surprised when I heard this earlier. He was in pretty bad condition:( R.I.P. to a man of GREAT talent. He will be missed.
|
Indeed very sad news. I love the "Three Tenors". He had an awesome voice. He will be missed by us here, too. :'(

Mr. Pavarotti's passing didn't really surprise me much, knowing that he was battling cancer, and that he had recently be admitted to the hospital. May he R.I.P.

It's always sad when someone passes from this life.
An interview I heard regarding Pavarotti's career deemed him to have perfect pitch. There aren't many people blessed with this quality. |
i'm still Trying to remember where I heard him. But It Was So Sad. :(

Yeh I'll miss the big man. We're lucky to live in an age where so much is recorded but I bet he sounded even better in real life. His Pagliacci was really something else. Bye bye Luciano.:sadbendy:

Sadly, I never never really got enjoy his work. I meant to start collecting his cd's and such but other stuff just came up. But I'll never forget when I watched his show during the Olympics (the one in Italy a few years back, I think. I may be wrong) because he really made the event feel that much grander.
