Foster's Art Jam: for everyone!

========="FAQ"==========

What is an Art Jam?
First off, it's not a bread spread. An art jam is a thread where people will post drawn images according to a prompt/topic that another user has started. For example, if the given prompt/topic is "Food", other users may submit images they've drawn of Eduardo eating potatoes, Bloo with a sandwich, anything of the like.

Who can join an Art Jam?
Absolutely anyone! Art Jams are for fun and crack and creativity. Cut loose. :D It's not a competition, there's no prizes, it is not magic, and he is not dying. So don't feel pressurized or anything.

Are the number of images I can post limited?
Not at all, post as many as you like. Just make sure the images are small enough so they don't take ages to download. (Keeping within the safety area of 600 for width size sounds good.) It doesn't have to be high quality artwork, either. Just keep to the general rules of the forum: No pairings, and keep things worksafe.

What if I don't have any art to post?
If you're just here to comment feel free to do so, too. :)

Who sets the next prompt/topic?
Let's make it every... 10th poster, shall we? Meaning, people whose post numbers are marked 10, 20, 30, 40 and etc. will set the next topic for us. Yes, even the non-art posters, you're free to set the topics. (You can always go back and edit your posts if you "overshoot".)

What about the prompts?
The prompts are just a way of providing more topics for users. Once a new prompt has been suggested, you're encouraged to contribute art for that prompt, but don't let it stop you from drawing for the older prompts, either.

These are the prompts that have been given thus far:
Clothes, Sleeping, Personality/Color swap, Cooking, Friendship, One-Time Characters, Moments in Time

I hope this will be fun for everyone!

======================

With that said, I'd like to start off with the prompt of:

CLOTHES.
Any kind of clothes: goth, punk, home clothes, street clothes, uniforms, formal wear, cosplay! Go wild.

I was watching Coco's Can Can the other day and it got me thinking of what kind of clothes would she actually wear to a dance/ball/prom or something. I know it's a traumatizing idea. XD But she's a laaaadyyyyy. So yes.

Coco in one of those old-fashioned bloom-out-at-the-backers gowns. I don't know why Bloo is her prom date. XD I was probably thinking of Coco Cards. And then I went and put the Foster's gang in prom clothes.

Eduardo. I know the sketch isn't very clear (these are all less than an inch tall on my sketchbook), but he's wearing a vest and trousers over one of those puffy white waiter sleeve things. And that's Frankie trying to assure him that he looks absolutely dashing, and that white goes very well with purple.

Wilt. And we all know that Wilt looks good in anything, especially if it's black and BODY HUGGING. RAWR. XD

Goo. Sort of tribute to her dressing in Make Believe, I guess.

And ISN'T CHEESE HANDSOME LOL?

Post away, me hearties! Arrrr!

This is my first attempt at drawing Goo. LOL! But I guess it could have turned out worse.
I'll give you three guesses what I was watching when I drew this! :goo:

PEASANT'S QUEST!! :D

Hooray for Peasant's Quest Wilt!

But he's not DRESSED like a peasant.
He doesn't SMELL like a peasent.
And he's certainly not ON FIRE like a peasant!

XD

*raises hand*

Does *every* post made in this thread *have* to contain art or can people just post to comment? If that's allowable, will it mess up the 10th-post thing? What if one person posts art and nine people comment? Maybe the rule should be changed to say 10 posts containing art must be posted and the 10th person announced the next topic, regardless of how many/few no-art comments are made?

Sorry this post contains no art. :P

Um, Sparky? ^^; Did you read the FAQ that was in the first post?

Yes, anyone can post regardless of having art or not. :D And if the tenth person is a commenter, he or she can set the next topic. I originally wanted the number to be higher, but considering traffic on these threads aren't very high, I just made it every tenth poster. Previous topics can still be done, of course; it's just having more topics to draw on.

I'll make it a bit more noticeable if that helps. :D Editing this post so I don't bump my own thread, lol.

Edit Numero Dos: Ah, heck, might as well post my comments here as well.

Antgirl1: Shorts make him look cutely boyish :D
Lynnie: Goo in a proper dress outift! She looks really cute. X3
Sparky: OMG YOU HAVE FUNNY BUNNY BOXERS XDDDD I WANT ONE.

Sorry that one little line drowned in the big first post and I missed it.

edit: Actually I'll post something, though some of you have seen it. It's clothing and Foster's-related though so why not:

Lemme just note here that I think this Art Jam thing is a wonderful idea, even though I can't draw and don't have a scanner. Way to go, all who have and will participate!

ptps 07-11-2007 10:48 PM

Bumping my own thread. (Like I said, this barely gets any traffic, lolz.)

Next poster (10th) will give a new topic. :D Remember, old topics can still be touched on, although you're encouraged to post stuff for the new topic too.

Wow, Ptps, I LOVE all your work! So cool! Awesomerific! ;D

I get to choose the next theme? Hmmmm..........

Sleeping!

I did this rather quickly this morning. Ugh, I can't draw feet, lol. If anyone's deserving of a nice read, and then a nap, it's definately Frankie.
