Universes?

So, does anyone else her have their own story universe that they've created? I do, and you guys seem like a creative bunch so it seems likely someone else would.

Uh, would you care to elaborate on that a bit?

You know, entire "worlds" one might create in order to come up with story ideas for.

I have one, I invented it when I was about 10. It's very "Zork-ish" in nature, being a humorous fantasy setting with magic but with some random technology thrown in (it's actually alien technology, though most of the inhabitants aren't aware). I used to set rpgs on it for my friends to play - tabletop, computer games, choose-your-own-adventure stories, everything. I've been coming up with story ideas for it for ages, and MAYBE one day I'll actually try to get something published. I think it would make a good animated series, too.

yeah, i want to write some stories about life in America after the SHTF (Stuff Hits the Fan for those uninitiated in survivalist jargon). That and a couple of gothic victorian stories. A groovy psychedelic fantasy setting a la the 70's Hobbit movie, you name it i've dreamed it up.

When daydreaming, though, i often imagine myself tramping around the Sierra Leone with a band of well-trained freedom fighters trying to liberate the oppressed masses. No lie.

some guy you dont know 12-17-2006 09:01 AM

i sometimes dream of a world which looks sorta like earth, and is more or less earth, but all my favorite characters from all my favorite shows are pretty much the only inhabbitants, plus the evil panwaffle army.(for those of you who dont know, panwaffle= pancake waffle hybird. i invented it) sometimes they fight. its kinda fun.

and i never did figure out why theyre called freedom fighters. firefighters fight fire, crimefighters fight crime, so what do freedom fighters fight? i think ive made my point.

^^Uh... okay...

Cool, I thought someone else would. I'd have put more in my post, Cassini, except that my universe is alrge and complex and difficult to expain in anything less than a full-length novel, really. I do have some information up, though, on a different forum: PhoeEnchained.20.forumer.com
