Why Zim was canceled
This guy has a story about him meeting with Nickelodeon, if you want to know how it all happened view all the videos, if you just want to get to the Zim stuff go to the final (4th) part:
1- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jpCINzrsLv4 2- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M755m...eature=related 3- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=csdGm...eature=related 4- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x39Cr...eature=related All I have to say is that is f***ed up. :edmad: |
OK, I haven't watched a single one of them, but how do I know he's telling the truth, and not just spinning a web of lies? :(
|
I dunno but I don't think he'd take this long telling you this whole story, it's not all about Zim though. He just mentions it.

From what I remember Zim was cancelled because of disputes with the writers. Nick also wanted to focus on newer shows, too. Oh, well, Zim being cancelled wasn't the end of the world for me. I only honestly started watching it last year. :P :P

I don't have time to watch these, but there better not be any profanity in them or anything, as there is no warning...

Yeah, the guy's probably telling the truth, as far as I know it. The ironic thing? Invader Zim was specified by the network to appeal to older demographics when they asked Jhonen Vaquez to do the show. So they pretty much throw the show away because they got exactly what they asked for. :edmad:
I also hear that Jhonen Vasquez is difficult to work with, which may have been an alterior motive. |

I'm just mad at Nickelodeon. They were jerks about it. And I'm mad at Jhonen too. He could've continued it, but he didn't. It's not like he has anything better to do.
