OMG Look What I Did
 

I cut my hair. I washed it and braided it and put an eleastic on it just below my shoulders, and I hacked it off. :) The braid, pictured below, is 20 inches long. Lol.

Yeah every five to seven years or so I hack my hair short, and it was high time for it. Especially since I have to wear a wig on Halloween and I was having trouble getting all my hair under it. So it's medium-ish now. I usually go like, short-short but I didn't want to go that far this time.

Wow. 20 inches is a lot of hair.

Do you feel...bald now?

My hair's long and curly at the moment... I cut it short every other summer, and winter's the years when I don't.

Just a pattern- it was completely coincidental.

Are you doing that Locks of Love thing? My best friend recently did that, and I think your braid is long enough.

You mean to give it to folks who make wigs for little children in radiation therapy, etc, right? Um...I kinda wanted to keep it. :P That's why I cut it off at home rather than having them do it at the salon (where I went to have it "evened out" afterwords) because usually when I have it cut they don't save it at all.

Of course it had been about eight or nine years since I *last* had it cut and maybe they *do* save it nowadays...Anyways I kinda wanted to keep it.

It's just a short purple wig. Lol it isn't actually shaped like her hair or anything. ;) My brother's not even bothering with a wig for Dib. We're going to be boring-haired versions of the characters. Only the colors will be correct.

Ooooh, cutting so much hair off is an odd experience! A few years ago I used to have SUPER long hair (I could almost sit on it), and I finally decided that I'd had enough of it being slammed in the car door, caught in the seat belt, pulled by the chairs at school, and caught in various other objects. It was hard to take care of it constantly, not to mention I could go through a family-sized bottle of shampoo in the time it took for someone with medium-ish hair to use a regular one.

It was so weird cutting it off... my head felt lighter, I could wear it in a ponytail without getting a headache, and it was just considerably less hair than what I'd had for 3 years.

Wow. I would never be able to cut my hair that much. NEVER. I'm just too in love with my long hair.

Yup, that's basically how it is. :) This is the third time I'm cut my hair from past-waist-length, and it's always a relief. :terrsmile:

I got my hair cut yesterday, I HATE my hair long. But I'm a guy, so I don't want to look like a surfer dude or a hippie. It's better on girls.

It would be nice to have the choice. I get more Picard every year.

Eh...maybe after next Comic-Con, lol. ;) I don't normally take pictures of myself, and on Halloween (when I will be taking pictures) I'll be wearing a wig.

Such pretty hair and you cut it? Shame....
