My Snake...

...is prettier than your snake! ;)

I just felt like showing Duchess off. :)

Kzinistzerg 09-25-2006 07:02 PM

Your snake is awesome. I like snakes! Just not near my cats.

BlooCheese 09-25-2006 07:18 PM

She is a pretty snake!

Cassini90125 09-26-2006 12:22 AM

Cool! How long is she?

Sparky 09-26-2006 01:03 AM

Maybe 3 feet or so. I've never measured her, but her tank is 36 inches long and she's about as long as the tank, maybe a few inches longer.

kaytea 09-26-2006 01:10 AM

she is simply beautifull

pitbulllady 09-26-2006 04:45 AM

Ball Pythons are so neat! If you look at a tank-full of baby Ball Pythons, no two are alike, like fingerprints!

Scribble 09-27-2006 07:13 AM

Aww she's gorgeous! I have a friend who would love to steal your snake lol.8D Although I don't think she'd have room for a ball python... I may be wrong though!

scary_dream 09-27-2006 10:48 AM

I was at the pet store and saw one of these and immediately thought of you and PBL 8D

Such a pretty snake! I know some people think they're creepy, but I honestly don't see how, because in the face I think they're really cute!

Nyo 09-27-2006 12:19 PM

SNAKES ON A THREAD.

That's nice, Sparky.

Kzinistzerg 09-27-2006 03:48 PM

Ugh, you just reminded me of my dad... he LOVES that (similar) phrase...

I have to say, she's got a really beautiful pattern on her.

Imaginary Light 09-29-2006 01:41 PM

I love snakes!

Aw, she's beautiful:)

Sparky 09-29-2006 08:41 PM

The cool thing is I actually get to see her a lot now. For more than a year and a half after I first got her she hid all the time but nowadays she's out and about quite a bit more. Yay. :)

Invader Bloo 10-01-2006 12:02 PM

Ooh, does it like to go on planes? ;)

Kzinistzerg 10-01-2006 01:13 PM

Yeah, does anyone comment on that at all?

Sparky 10-01-2006 07:21 PM

Um, no...you guys are the first. -_- Lol.

Imaginary Light 10-25-2006 11:56 AM

"No pictures please!"

Haha, cute:)

Invader Bloo 10-26-2006 07:07 PM

Pythons are cool, I never want a snake though. I don't like too touch any reptiles besides turtles. Good thing Samuel Jackson dosen't know you. :P

What's wrong with how reptiles feel? Snakes are NOT slimy, you know. Pythons have very soft, silky skin, not slimy at all. Samuel Jackson is just an actor-no reflection on how he actually feels about reptiles. It's the morons who made the movie who better be glad that they don't know ME! I've got over 20 snakes, and I've spent much of my life trying to educate people about the truth regarding these animals, and then idiots come along and make some insipid movie that portrays snakes as evil and out to get us. I don't have a real nice attitude when it comes to people like that; they're high on my You-Know-What List.

Yeah but "Snakes on A Plane" was never meant to be a serious movie at all, much less an accurate portrayal of our slithering friends.

I know it wasn't MEANT to be serious, and neither were the Anaconda movies, BUT you'd probably be surprised to know how many people DO, in fact, take movies like those VERY seriously. It just reinforces their misconceptions about snakes. A surprising number of people would rather believe something like that is true than to believe someone like myself, or Jeff Corwin, or the late Steve Irwin, when it comes to things like snakes and spiders.

I know Sam Jackson dosen't hate reptiles like in Snakes on a Plane (or aatleast I think he dosen't), I just don't like to hold snakes. I think snakes are cool & all but from a distance. Or a thin glass sealing.

One Radical Dude 10-29-2006 07:07 PM

Everyone has different experiences with reptiles, and not everyone will embrace them. As far as I know, I can tell you that from handling one snake, snakes aren't slimy at all. :P

Pretty much like Jaws. :3
While snakes are just fine and dandy in my book (I kept a small orange/white colored one in my room), I can understand why some people dislike and/or fear them. My grandmother grew an extreme fear of snakes because as a child, she encountered them everyday where she lived. During one of our trips to the Grand Canyon, I had to pick a stuffed snake toy for my 10-year-old cousin (who loves snakes) for my grandmother because she couldn't so much as even look at it. She gave me the money to pay for it and then had me carry the bag and put it away in the back of our caravan, away from her view. Like ORD said, everybody has different experiences with reptiles; many, which I had come to learn, are FAR from pleasant.
