Help: Eduardo Bug

I usually encouter playback problems when speaking to Eduardo:-/
Now it goes worse: I'm playing the last adventure this month, in which I should help bloo fall asleep. However, when I was told to speak to Ed, and I clicked on him, no speech bubbles appeared. I have restarted this adventure for many times but the bug is still there.
Do you have these problems to? How did you solve it?
If you have finished this adventure, do you remember what eduardo told you to do after speaking to him?
thx

HappyFoppy 09-16-2006 06:52 AM

You have to press "Z" and make sure you are close enough to him.
Having problems with BFAHP but ONLY with Ed just sounds weird btw...
Does Eduardo actually have that ! bubble above his head?

hermessiu 09-16-2006 06:57 AM

Of course I know I have to be close enough! I'm playing the FINAL adventure.
There is a ! above ed, and when I clicked z, there was only a beep (the sound that always appear when characters speak), but no speech bubbles.

Good job, final adventure. It's really annoying that you have a bug right now, huh...
Well, I don't think I can help you. Sorry...:'(

I completed that adventure this morning, I seem to remember that he gives you a cd of spanish nursery rymes, which you need to take to bloo.

If that does not work for you, let me know and I'll go check in the game code.

I received nothing from ed. :( Please check the game code for me, thx alot. :)

Are you the game developer or something? How can you check the code????

Sparky 09-16-2006 07:17 PM

He's basically familiar with Flash programming and is therefore knowledgable enough to extract the game components. I've met other epople online who do the same thing, just because they can. :)

I haven't reached that adventure, but I have also had the game crash when speaking to Ed, when doing favors. So yeah Ed's got a cootie or something. :P

TraverseTown 09-16-2006 07:25 PM

My daily favor is usually Ed, and I've never had any trouble with him.

Well he had fleas at one point, so that isn't much of stretch :P

I used to get that bug all the time too, but somehow it stopped on it's own.

hermessiu 09-16-2006 07:43 PM

I'm relieved to see that some people (including sparky) also share the same problem with me!
I hope this will be fixed soon since I HAVE ONE ADVENTURE LEFT before they update the game.

Sparky 09-16-2006 07:52 PM

I have been having no problems with the game since I had to reinstall Firefox and then reinstall Flash; I also emptied my Flash Objects thing, whatever its called...you do it on the Flash website. I can try to find that link if you need it. I had to do all that to stop a bug I was experiencing with the chatroom here, and it worked to my advtantage on BFAHP as well. Not saying I am 100% bug-free but again, I haven't had a crash since I did all that. Might be a concidence though.

hermessiu 09-16-2006 08:01 PM

yes please
thx

Sparky 09-16-2006 08:07 PM

Here it is.

The site that you want to clear is i.cartoonnetwork.com, apparently that's where all the Flash objects for BFAHP live.

Here you go:

mActionOQuest 27

Bloo can't sleep. You'd better find a way to help him, or he'll drive everybody nuts!

Bloo
'I haven't been able to sleep all week! See if Madame Foster knows some homemade cure for this awful curse!

Madame Foster
Well, when I need to sleep, I drink a warm glass of milk. I'm sure Frankie will help you with that!

Frankie
I'm well aware Bloo can't sleep! He was making noise all night long! I'll do anything to spare myself another night of that. Here's the warm milk.

Bloo
Yuck! It's too warm! I'm not in the mood to drink anything warm. Go ask Mac if he knows something else I can try.

Mac
I heard turkey meat can make you sleepy. Try some leftover turkey from the dining room.

Bloo
Yuck! This turkey is too cold! Now I can see why people quit cold turkey. Maybe Eduardo knows a way to put me to sleep.

Eduardo
Seņor Bloo can't sleep? Try this tape of Spanish lullabies. They always work for me!

Bloo
La cucaracha ya no puede dormir? How can I go to sleep to this nonsense? At this point, I'll take anybody's help. Go find out what Duchess does when she can't sleep.

Duchess
How on Earth would I know a cure for insomnia? What Bloo really needs is some inspiration. Here, give him this copy of my autobiography.

Bloo
I don't need Duchess' stupid autobiography. What I need is agood night's sleep! So what did she write, anyway? "I was born during a cold winter night in... This is so boring! I was blessed with a huge

number of qualities, all of which I will list now... Yawn! I think....I'm g-e-t-t-i-n-g s-l-e-e-p-y... Zzzzzz...

Adventure Completed!

I wanna thank you all for your support, you have done alot to help me.
Nevertheless, Ed still doesn't say anything, nor does he give me the CD. :'(
But I can speak to him when I'm not playing this adventure.
Perhaps there is something wrong on my computer so you guys have no problems in speaking to him.
I have already written an email to CN, and I hope they will sort it out for me.
If you have other ways to solve it, do tell me.
Thank you again for all your help.

Do you have any local friends who you could borrow thier computer to finish it?

Or if you "trust" anyone enough to give them your username/password and get them to finish the adventure for you?

I allways have problems running the game under firefox, so I resort to IE where it works better, if your not using IE you could try that.

Sparky 09-17-2006 05:31 PM

Agreed; try either using a different browser or a different computer if it comes to that. :P

TraverseTown 09-18-2006 12:16 PM

montitech 09-18-2006 06:15 PM

Yes I checked notey but the tape was nowhere to be seen.
I've also restarted the mission for more than ten times.
All I need to do is to find another computer to complete the adventure.

RedboXen 09-19-2006 05:30 AM

Im not sure if the "rules" allow this, but if you wanted to change your password to something else, then let me know your username/password (via PM) I'd be happy to finish the adventure for you.

If the board rules dont allow that sort of thing, then please ignore the offer.

Sparky 09-19-2006 03:44 PM

If you mean the board rules on here, its none of our concern what people do with their BFAHP passwords and usernames.
