I really don't think that Paris Hilton should be on this list for any of the actress awards. I'm familiar with some of her work and she is no actress by any stretch of the imagination. 8D :P

You have no idea how happy it is for me to know that both Uwe Boll and Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer have FINALLY been nominated this year! Congrats to Uwe Boll for Worst Career Achievement too! 8D

But come on! Speed Racer for Worst Prequel, Ripoff, Remake or Sequel? I loved that film! :frankiemad:

Personally, I love hearing about the Razzies but every once in a while they end up putting a movie or two that I actually like and I felt it wasn't really deserving of a razzie nomination. Unfortunately this time I honestly felt this nomination was totally unfounded: Indiana Jones 4. I'm seriously sick of people knocking this movie, for crying out loud it was not THAT horrible or evil.

I really enjoyed the movie, I saw it twice in fact and I wasn't even a child born Indy fan and I still loved it. What annoys the hell out of me the most was the complaint about the (I'd spoiler tag this but the movie's been out for a while now) aliens being too far fetched........really.......this is the plausibility threshold.....aliens?

Magical coffins that turn Nazis into liquid pudding, magical mind control rocks and immortal knights protecting magical cups of healing waters are plausible but aliens are not, are you serious? I don't think its fair to movies like that to call them crap, just because it wasn't the picture perfect comeback for Indy doesn't mean it warrants a razzie. Uwe Bowell on the other hand, I agree with.

Concerning the worst sequel, remake, etc catagory, I'm actually rather surprised that The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor managed to evade nomination. Admittedly, I probably got more bang for my entertainment fiver from that particular flick than I did from Crystal Skull, if only because TOTDE was so wretchedly bad that in the end it actually became kind of enjoyable (Crystal Skull, meanwhile, had John Hurt and a handful of entertaining set pieces, but otherwise left me feeling cold). I guess that, while everyone pretty much knew what to expect from TOTDE, Indie's long-awaited return had been subject to a lot more anticipation, hence the greater backlash.

Crystal Skull's biggest mind-fudge, for me, had less to do with the presence of extra-terrestrials than it did the greater mystery as to how Cate Blanchett ever thought that she could use the danged thing as a weapon in the first place! Seriously, did I miss something there?

Absolutely. He's destroyed the video game industry without even trying. I also agree on Jason and Aaron. They destroyed the parody genre of comedy. It's going to be hard for anyone (including Mel Brooks and David Zucker) to bring it back onto its feet.

Uwe Boll deserved it much more for House of the Dead and Alone in the Dark. In the Name of the King is boring and cliche-filled, but not nearly as bad as his previous work.

I gotta say that "Crystal Skull" is VASTLY underrated! :( Speed Racer on the other hand was kinda "meh" to me despite all the stylish visual effects. As for "Star Wars: The Clone Wars", I could've cared less. ::)

Here here on "Crystal Skull's" vast under appreciation. If that movie is the worst people have ever seen then they seriously need to lower their insane expectations.

Perfection is impossible to come by.

Well, Destination Imagination came pretty close...

Sorry, just had to say that. 8D

I didn't understand what you meant there for a second. Oh, never mind, I get it now, and I agree. ;)

I'm personally not familiar with anything mentioned here really, although I'm surprised Crystal Skull is on the list, I've heard a lot of great things about it. I'm not surprised however that The Love Guru and What Happens in Vegas are on it. I've heard terrible things about them. :P

And kind of off topic, but the Annies are tomorrow. Hopefully D:I will be bringing home an award.
