Episode Discussion: "Bloo Superdude"

On Monday, September 10th at 7 PM Eastern, a new Foster's episode--The Bloo Superdude And The Magic Potato Of Power--will be shown. According to the synopsis at TV Guide, it has Bloo entertaining Mac with a story.

Cassini90125 08-27-2007 05:27 AM

That's very likely the episode that we saw a clip of at the Con. The title alone is worth the long wait. Let the countdown begin! ;D

Ccook50 08-27-2007 05:48 AM

Missed seeing the clip. I was in traffic coming down from Escondido and then spent the better part of the afternoon looking for parking.

emperor26 08-27-2007 06:17 AM

Finally, it took CN to air a new Foster's episode after two months.

Hopefully, this one is much better than "Something Old, Somthing Bloo".

Imaginary Light 08-27-2007 07:39 AM

...That title alone rocks 8D

But, oh poo...I'm going to be at my college listening to some guest speaker at 7pm that Monday (it's mandatory, gah!:jk:), so I'll just have to tape it.

One Radical Dude 08-27-2007 12:05 PM

I should have DVR by then, so I'll try not to miss this one that evening. Interesting to read that they're airing this on a Monday, and not a Friday. I hope they don't air the rest of the fifth season in 1-2 weeks worth of time. We'll see how that goes. Can't wait to check out this episode.

antgirl1 08-27-2007 12:11 PM

LOL Best. Title. Ever.

Spoiler Below
"I HAVE DA POOOOWEEEERRR!!!"
"I cannot allow anyone to have any fun!"

Oh I have a good idea, why CN is choosing to air the first new episode in months on that particular Monday as opposed to it's regular Friday spot.

The reason is of course the Season 2 DVD set makes it's long awaited debut the day after. So what better way to hype up the set and thus send the kids to yon retail store to purchase it, then to show em a brand spanking new episode.

Yes, so now it all makes sense why they waited so long to start showing the rest of season five.

That makes perfect sense to me. It's only about two weeks 'till Season Deux appears on DVD in stores.

Cassini90125 08-27-2007 12:22 PM

Makes sense to me, too. Nice to know there's a dollar sign behind the delay. :P

taranchula 08-27-2007 12:23 PM

Yep they are crafty devils all right, that's why they get paid the big bucks.

One Radical Dude 08-27-2007 12:31 PM

Yep. Cash monies, yo! 8-) Two weeks to go. :yeah:

Crash-N-Cortex 08-27-2007 02:08 PM

Finally, a new episode! The title seems to be long, I hope this new episode is worth the wait. This episode better interest me any way.

CheesePotatoes 08-27-2007 03:30 PM

Guess when the next eipisode after that is airing,

Based on the ep. summary, this is most definitely the previewed ep. from the CC panel. Can't wait.

LaBloo 08-27-2007 04:45 PM

Me too. I can't wait to see it!

Shelltoon 08-27-2007 05:21 PM

They couldn't have picked a better date and time for this. I can't wait!

Uh, well, today would've been good, too. 8D

Lynnie 08-27-2007 06:00 PM

Wow, I go to bed last night and nothing. Come home from work today and there's two whole pages about a brand spankin' new eppie! A lot has happened in the last 18 hours.

Whoopee!!!! :yeah::clap::up::yeah::clap::up: By the sounds of it, it'll be F-U-N-N-Y! If Bloo's the one telling (and making up) the story, you know it's going to be. 8D

Sounds like the rest of Season Five might be shown within a few weeks. Not surprising.

Cassini90125 08-27-2007 08:01 PM

Uh, why are we using spoiler tags for an episode premier date? :terrconf:

Ccook50 08-28-2007 03:10 AM

The new episode on Sept. 11 is titled Schlock Star. No synopsis was furnished.

Tagteam 08-28-2007 09:19 AM

BluebottleFlyer 08-28-2007 09:43 AM

I think the episode title says it all, really (and I mean that in a good way):)

Well, we've been through a dryspell, perhaps maybe they need to make up for lost ground. XD

Medikor 08-28-2007 11:39 AM

Hopefully Teletoon will pick these new episodes up very shortly after they air. They surprised me with how quickly they grabbed CAGG so I may get to see these shortly after you all. :D *crosses fingers*

I didn't bother to check, but did Teletoon show the other season five episodes that have aired thus far?

True. This would definitely become a great opportunity to catch up.

No they haven't. I watch Foster's when ever it's on, so unless I missed one, they haven't aired anymore.

LaBlooGirl 08-28-2007 02:07 PM

New episodes?? Those two words I just typed I thought had left the English vocabularly for good. The concept of new episodes was starting to sound like a new, foreign thing! o.0;; Not a complaint really, just a small gripe. ^_^

Of course I need to go and buy the first season and second season (as soon as it comes out), no fan is complete without those. ;)

I love these strings, thanks for the heads up!

Unfortunately, I've only seen them air "Cheese a Go-Go". They played it twice I think. They may just want to wait until fall before they air new episodes. So we'll likely have to wait a little longer for the rest of season five, Tarancula.

I figured as much, Teletoon pulled the exact same stunt with season 4 last year, show the first episode of the season around the same time as Cartoon Network.
And then not show any new episode until a much later date.

Naturally I for the life of me cannot figure out the logic behind that thought process, but then again not being privy to what goes on at the Teletoon scheduling department I know now any kind of an answer would not be forthcoming.

bloonuggets 09-10-2007 07:35 AM

Tonight (9/10) is the night! I'll be watching.

Cassini90125 09-10-2007 03:39 PM

Just saw it, and oh my stars it was so worth waiting for!

pitbulllady 09-10-2007 03:40 PM

Just saw it! Man, and I thought some of the fanfics on FF.net were RANDOM! My head is still spinning; I totally lost track of all the movie/tv series/Saturday morning cartoon references that were packed in there, everything from Mad Max to Star Wars to Monty Python to Bugs Bunny to "Battlestar Galactica", and THEN some! Whew, all of that over
Spoiler Below
Mac's "Game Guy" that Bloo sto....I mean, was entrusted to keep by the Supreme Creator of Everything!

"Because I SAID sooooo", lol. Yeah, he'd totally say that, being all Mr. Responsible father-figure and all.

Finally, after three long months, I'm glad that it was worth the wait, as "Bloo Superdude" was a great episode to watch (not to mention my being my favorite episode so far in Season 5).

In many ways, this episode has the most spoofs/ homages it has than any other episodes I have seen so far (however, I won't spoil what those are), but there are some obvious ones out there. The script writing is done well and the characters, as always, are themselves.

Overall, a must-see for Foster's fans.

BTW, I was able to catch this episode due to the different scheduling (the CN that airs on my TV is from the east). Also, I have DirectTV satellite.

Well, that's all I have to say, and I'm looking forward to the next episode tomorrow.

antgirl1 09-10-2007 03:43 PM

Since I don't see a thread for discussion, I'll post here, since the thread's name is close enough. XD

OMG This episode was so hilarious I cannot think straight.

Spoiler Below
The animation & music at the the beginning, the portraying of the characters (Hey, they can be OOC for this episode, it was BLOO'S story, after all). Frankie in a FAIRY DRESS acting all "girl-in-distress" and then getting serious all of a sudden, the LINES, oh lord, THE LINES. Especially from Wilt, who was like this wise person when he was speaking all mysterious and spooky and stuff...

"I'm sorry, but that doesn't belong to either of you. You must give it to me so I can give it to the rightful owner."
"And that would be who?"
"The creator of EEEVEEERYYTHIIIIINNNNG."
"Why?"
"Because I saaaiiid soooo."

Bloo really had an imagination, until the very end. We learn that it was just a twisted-up story for something that actually happened. But that's what made it funny, you know, with Bloo's imagination, you get greatness.

A+ for the episode. Seriously.

bloonuggets 09-10-2007 03:45 PM

The official "Bloo Superdude..." feedback thread

Well, I just saw the first new episode in a while, and it was hilarious.

If you have not seen it, let me provide it to you in a spoiler...
Spoiler Below
Bloo tells Mac a story about a little boy (Eduardo as Little Lord Fauntelroy suit and wig), an alien (Coco in a space suit), an Obi-Wan type of character (Wilt) battling a guy who likes to have no fun (Mr. Herriman in a Nazi-type outfit) and The Bloo Superdude (you-know-who) when a fairy-type character (Frankie) makes them do three impossible tasks for the Queen (Madame Foster) and then they battle over a crystal potato. We also learn that Mac is "The Creator of Everything" after the story.

So that you know.
