Foster's Art Jam: for everyone!

========="FAQ"==========

What is an Art Jam?
First off, it's not a bread spread. An art jam is a thread where people will post drawn images according to a prompt/topic that another user has started. For example, if the given prompt/topic is "Food", other users may submit images they've drawn of Eduardo eating potatoes, Bloo with a sandwich, anything of the like.

Who can join an Art Jam?
Absolutely anyone! Art Jams are for fun and crack and creativity. Cut loose. :D It's not a competition, there's no prizes, it is not magic, and he is not dying. So don't feel pressurized or anything.

Are the number of images I can post limited?
Not at all, post as many as you like. Just make sure the images are small enough so they don't take ages to download. (Keeping within the safety area of 600 for width size sounds good.) It doesn't have to be high quality artwork, either. Just keep to the general rules of the forum: No pairings, and keep things worksafe.

What if I don't have any art to post?
If you're just here to comment feel free to do so, too. :)

Who sets the next prompt/topic?
Let's make it every... 10th poster, shall we? Meaning, people whose post numbers are marked 10, 20, 30, 40 and etc. will set the next topic for us. Yes, even the non-art posters, you're free to set the topics. (You can always go back and edit your posts if you "overshoot".)

What about the prompts?
The prompts are just a way of providing more topics for users. Once a new prompt has been suggested, you're encouraged to contribute art for that prompt, but don't let it stop you from drawing for the older prompts, either.

These are the prompts that have been given thus far:
Clothes, Sleeping, Personality/Color swap, Cooking, Friendship, One-Time Characters, Moments in Time

I hope this will be fun for everyone!

======================

With that said, I'd like to start off with the prompt of:

CLOTHES.
Any kind of clothes: goth, punk, home clothes, street clothes, uniforms, formal wear, cosplay! Go wild.

I was watching Coco's Can Can the other day and it got me thinking of what kind of clothes would she actually wear to a dance/ball/prom or something. I know it's a traumatizing idea. XD But she's a laaaadyyyyy. So yes.

http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b3...711_prom03.gif
Coco in one of those old-fashioned bloom-out-at-the-backers gowns. I don't know why Bloo is her prom date. XD I was probably thinking of Coco Cards. And then I went and put the Foster's gang in prom clothes.

http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b3...711_prom05.gif
Eduardo. I know the sketch isn't very clear (these are all less than an inch tall on my sketchbook), but he's wearing a vest and trousers over one of those puffy white waiter sleeve things. And that's Frankie trying to assure him that he looks absolutely dashing, and that white goes very well with purple.

http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b3...711_prom01.gif
Wilt. And we all know that Wilt looks good in anything, especially if it's black and BODY HUGGING. RAWR. XD

http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b3...711_prom02.gif
Goo. Sort of tribute to her dressing in Make Believe, I guess.

http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b3...711_prom04.gif
And ISN'T CHEESE HANDSOME LOL?

Post away, me hearties! Arrrr!

Oh come now, you've HAD to seen this coming.

PEASANT'S QUEST!! :D

Lynnie 07-10-2007 12:51 PM

This is my first attempt at drawing Goo. LOL! But I guess it could have turned out worse.
I'll give you three guesses what I was watching when I drew this! :goo:

PEASANT'S QUEST!! :D

Hooray for Peasant's Quest Wilt!

But he's not DRESSED like a peasant.
He doesn't SMELL like a peasent.
And he's certainly not ON FIRE like a peasant!

XD

Sparky 07-10-2007 05:36 PM

*raises hand*

Does *every* post made in this thread *have* to contain art or can people just post to comment? If that's allowable, will it mess up the 10th-post thing? What if one person posts art and nine people comment? Maybe the rule should be changed to say 10 posts containing art must be posted and the 10th person announced the next topic, regardless of how many/few no-art comments are made?

Sorry this post contains no art. :P

ptps 07-10-2007 05:56 PM

Um, Sparky? ^^; Did you read the FAQ that was in the first post?

Yes, anyone can post regardless of having art or not. :D And if the tenth person is a commenter, he or she can set the next topic. I originally wanted the number to be higher, but considering traffic on these threads aren't very high, I just made it every tenth poster. Previous topics can still be done, of course; it's just having more topics to draw on.

I'll make it a bit more noticeable if that helps. :D Editing this post so I don't bump my own thread, lol.

Edit Numero Dos: Ah, heck, might as well post my comments here as well.

Antgirl1: Shorts make him look cutely boyish :D
Lynnie: Goo in a proper dress outift! She looks really cute. X3
Sparky: OMG YOU HAVE FUNNY BUNNY BOXERS XDDDD I WANT ONE.

Sorry that one little line drowned in the big first post and I missed it.

edit: Actually I'll post something, though some of you have seen it. It's clothing and Foster's-related though so why not:

Ub3rD4n 07-10-2007 11:39 PM

Lemme just note here that I think this Art Jam thing is a wonderful idea, even though I can't draw and don't have a scanner. Way to go, all who have and will participate!

ptps 07-11-2007 10:48 PM

Bumping my own thread. (Like I said, this barely gets any traffic, lolz.)

Next poster (10th) will give a new topic. :D Remember, old topics can still be touched on, although you're encouraged to post stuff for the new topic too.

Lynnie 07-12-2007 02:57 PM

Wow, Ptps, I LOVE all your work! So cool! Awesomerific! ;D

I get to choose the next theme? Hmmmm..........

Sleeping!

http://i198.photobucket.com/albums/a...ieSleeping.jpg

I did this rather quickly this morning. Ugh, I can't draw feet, lol. If anyone's deserving of a nice read, and then a nap, it's definately Frankie.

Cassini90125 07-12-2007 04:05 PM

Fantastic! There isn't nearly enough good Frankie art out there; this is one of only 2 or 3 that I've seen in the last three months! Well done, and thanks!

Hur.

Sparky 07-12-2007 05:21 PM

Off the Air

Crappy tablet sketch. This is how I always imagined Sockit Tubey would sleep, complete with BOOOOOOOP instead of a regular snore.

pitbulllady 07-12-2007 08:06 PM

While we're in "sleep mode", here's my crappy, hastily-thrown-together sketch, done in "pencil" and "airbrush" using Corel Painter Classic. I guess it was a boring movie these guys were watching, huh? I also wanted to do it as an excuse for drawing Wilt's monkey feet, lol! Yeah, no shoes this time!

Don't tell me that isn't cute.
Haha, I love Bloo. :bloocross:. Made crappily in MS paint.
And that's real cute, pitbulllady. I like it when Wilt goes shoe-less, it's so adorable.

antgirl1 07-12-2007 09:42 PM

Awws, nice drawings, both of you!

PBL, you didn't miss the fact that Wilt says "sorry" in his sleep, lol! And his GI-HUGE-IC feet! :D

ptps 07-12-2007 10:17 PM

omggggg these all make me so happy XD Thank you everyone for contributing!!

Lynnie: Frankie looks adorable! And she deserves a well-needed rest. :D
Antgirl1: Haha he WOULD dream about that wouldn't he? XD
Sparky: Props to you for drawing a supporting cast. XD And omg the "off the air" cracks me up so badly. XDDD
PBL: WILT'S FEET YOU DREW WILT'S FEET AREHAETDJAEWRH XDD And the zzzsorryzzz and Bloo with a paddleball. XD Daw!
Basilsunshine: Daw! Frankie carrying Bloo off to bed XD

And I'm really glad "sleeping" got chosen as a topic because I love draw the gang asleep for some reason XD They're always so hyperactive, it's nice to see them all peaceful and slumberish for a change.

http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b3...3_sleeping.gif
Again it's a sketch pulled from my sketchbook with rough colors thrown in. (I should really draw more Frankie and Herriman and Madame Foster one of these days.)

basilsunshine 07-12-2007 10:22 PM

Wilt, Bloo, & Eduardo look so adorable in that picture!
So do the rest too! Dawww. I can't wait for the next theme.

TheLH 07-13-2007 06:51 AM

Here's a new theme. A sort of extention of the one before the last one's last pic:

Characters with switched personalities and/or color schemes!

CG did a sketch ages ago showing off this idea:

I'm only going to allow it this once, but in future, please read the FAQ which is at the very top of the very first post of this thread. Only every tenth poster (10, 20, 30, 40, etc.) is given the ability to set a topic he or she wants the rest to draw on. Not 19, not 21, not anything else but a multiple of ten. :P Please "play" by the "rules". The next poster who ignores the 10th post rule will, well, be ignored ::) and topic-setting rights will continue to be carried out by said 10th poster.

So, Switched Personalities/Color Swaps. (Remember, you may still post artwork related to the older prompts.)

http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b3..._colorswap.gif
Ed kinda looks like a huge hairy monkey with horns. >_>;

The 30th poster will give the new topic. Please check your post numbers before you hit the enter key. >>; Thank you.

TheLH 07-13-2007 09:24 AM

Sorry. >_>

I'll be careful next time, in the future.

Something else crappily made in MS Paint!
I guess Bloo decided to go through Frankie's closet.

Lynnie 07-13-2007 12:25 PM

ROFL! Basil, that is too cute! I can TOTALLY seen Bloo doing that! 8-)

antgirl1 07-13-2007 03:27 PM

http://www.freewebs.com/chillygirl2/Color%20Swap.PNG

GASP.

Sadly, neither the Wiltous Michaelous or the Blooregardous Kazoous know they have each other's colors.

Wow, Goo asleep and not running around talking 900-m.p.h-don't get to see THAT very often!

Yeah, I HAD to draw Wilt's feet, since we've only seen THEM once before, too! I missed out on the clothing-themed part, since I was going to draw him trying to wear flip-flop thong sandals with those funky big toes of his!

pitbulllady

Ub3rD4n 07-13-2007 06:31 PM

You mean not wearing his trademark squeaky sneakers? Blasphemy!

But, yeah, good work so far everyone, I especially like the sleeping Cheese. He sleeps standing up. Like a horse! For some reason, that's really amusing to me.

MORE CRAPPY MS PAINT!!!11
Haha! You'd think Mac would be more of a "truth" kind of guy...:P.

ptps 07-13-2007 10:07 PM

basilsunshine: Haha, the Frankie love. XD She'd probably freak when she saw what was going on...

antgirl1: Eeee, I love this XD It's so nicely rendered.

I just saw the Scribbles episode again yesterday and nrrrrrrgh now I wanna draw his feet too XD And don't worry, if a theme has passed you can continue submitting artwork for it. So if you wanna draw Wilt in sandals, by all means go ahead. :D

Keep it up everyone! ^__^ b

ROFL ROFL ROFL!!! 8D He even has nail polish on! Oh, I'm going to die of laughter! Antgirl and PBL, I love yours too. You guys are all so talented!

Hey, I'm the 29th poster. Next poster gets to choose the next theme!

Cassini90125 07-13-2007 10:29 PM

I do, eh? In that case the theme is "cooking", inspired by the fact that I haven't yet had dinner and I'm pretty dang hungry. ;D

basilsunshine 07-13-2007 10:36 PM

AHHH! You made the new one just as I was finishing one to use as the new category.

DANG I'M LATE! xD.

Oh well, I'll have to wait. As for the cooking category, I'm gonna start on one for that then. xD.

Sparky 07-13-2007 10:58 PM

http://www.fosters-home.com/forum/myimages/foil.jpg

And so Bloo learned *why* Frankie told him not to microwave tinfoil...

basilsunshine 07-13-2007 11:10 PM

Sparky: Awww he looks so shocked! He probably thought he was so right about how it works.

http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j2...ytoast/-18.jpg
Holy crap, cuteness overloooad.
Bloo is a five star chef, just so you know.

ptps 07-13-2007 11:38 PM

Sparky: AHAHAHHAHAAHA OMG XD Way to go, Bloo. XDDD

Basilsunshine: He looks really cute in that chef's hat XD;

AND I'M GOING TO BURN IN HADES FOR THIS NEXT PICTURE. ALL HAIL THE MIND-SCARRING CRACK OF DHO0M.

BECAUSE WILT IS SUCH A MAID. XD LOOK AT "INFERNAL SLUMBER". This is very, very, very wrong. I-I-I don't know what made me draw this. IT'S VERY WRONG. XDD And this is aimed at all the Japanese fanart of any male character in French maid outfits, because this ALWAYS HAPPENS.

*BURNS IN HADES*

basilsunshine 07-14-2007 12:59 AM

AHHH! *squeals*
I don't know what to think about that one, but Wilt DOES look very adorable. And the four in the corner...xD. They're freakin' out.

pitbulllady 07-14-2007 09:21 AM

Wilt's more like my grandfather, since he considered it his life's purpose to wait on/help/clean up after others, and would have been insulted if not allowed to do so.

ROTFLMFAO!!!! Wilt should've been the most angry out of the whole group. But I'm not sure, maybe he already IS. One of them should've been nose-bleeding. XDD

I don't know what's funnier, the fact that they're all scarred for life, or Wilt in a French maid outfit.

Took a peek at the "Future Japanese Foster's Manga". Lol. (not saying it will be real.)

kageri 07-14-2007 02:18 PM

http://i16.tinypic.com/541w2oi.png

While we're on the subject, can someone please explain this toque blanche thing to me? Why are chefs required to wear a hat that looks goofier than the kind with the propeller? I mean, what's the deal?

Ub3rD4n 07-14-2007 02:38 PM

Wow, nice pic, Kageri. Also, Bloo Eats Waffles! Anyone who watched Invader Zim'll be cracking up at that one.

basilsunshine 07-14-2007 04:08 PM

Next one....SWITCHED PERSONALITIES!

http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j2...ytoast/-17.jpg
Thank you, Ed, for putting 'cutie patootie' in my vocabulary.
As for Wilt's shoes....those took ALOT of trial and error. So I gave up, and you have some squiggles.
