Coco-like plant
Of all my plants, this one reminds me the most of Coco:

Dang, that does remind me of Coco. Pretty wild. ;)
What species is it? |
I'm pretty sure it's Beaucarnea recurvata also known as the Elephant Foot or Ponytail Tree. I have another view of her:

By coincidence the color of the bowl it's sitting in kind of reminds me of Coco's body. You might have the beginnings of a fanart project here! :D
|
Haha Thank You! Sadly she's not very animated or manic. In fact she barely even grows.
|
That's so cool, koosie. ;)
I've had a houseplant for several years (not really sure what kind it is - I lost the original label) which reminds me a bit of Coco's hair. Sadly, most of its leaves have either withered or died off lately, so I think it may be on the way out. :( Most of the plants I keep are orchids (mostly phalaenopsis), though I'm not very good at encouraging them to reflower. |
Oooooh cool it does kind of look like Coco
|
Wow! That's really neat, koosie. It does remind me of coco;)
|
Coincidence? Maybe.
Still, I admit that plant does indeed resemble Coco. |
Maybe someone can make a planter that looks like Coco sans the top of her head, and then put a little palm in it?
|
What a cute idea!!
Unfortunately, I have instead of a "green thumb" a "black thumb" lol... I have the ability to kill ANY plant I try to care for. ::) It's so annoying. |
Me too, that's why *I'm* not gonna try it. :P
|
Really? That's a strange thing, Sparky. You look after much more complicated organisms than plants. I have many hundreds of plants, more than I could count but with just one Snake I'd be worrying whether it had enough to eat or was warm enough.
I'm sure there's more Coco-like plants than my one. A nice old Cycad perhaps or maybe a nice little Coco palm would do it. |
~Baby Coco plants!
These are four baby versions of Coco-like plant, raised from seeds this year: http://s127.photobucket.com/albums/p...Dscf0158-1.jpg At least 2 of them will end up in bargain bucket (ebay) as sadly they're not worth a lot of money as adult plants. Anyone want to a grow a Coco? They're about as easy as a house-plant can get. |
Coco, eh?
