Co-worker critically injured.

One of my co-workers is critically injured in a car accident, involving a train on Thursday. She broke her neck and maybe her back, also. She was flown to another hospital in another city. I'm not the best of friends with the co-worker, but we did work pretty well for the most part, and knowing that it's someone one works with does effect you. :( Remember this person in your thoughts or your prayers. Hopefully, this woman will be able to make a full recovery (if possible), even if it takes a while.

That is a truly terrible situation that I hope never happens to anyone else. I wish her a full and speedy recovery.

Voxxyn 02-15-2007 02:53 PM

I hope she'll get better. :(

Ouch geez :'( sorry to hear that. It's nice to see you being so considerate and caring for someone who you say you don't know very well. That sounds terrible and I really do wish the best for her and her family, I really hope she pulls through.

Thank you for the kind words, gang. I still don't know much about everything that happened. I do know, however, that surgery won't be required, so that may be a good sign.

Partymember 02-16-2007 08:56 PM

hope she's okay...

one of my friends got a drill bit several inches into his skull at work...then he fell 10 feet off a platform onto the concrete. He broke the fall with his head. He's perfectly fine now, although st the time they thought maybe he would be a vegetable for life. Miracles happen.

taranchula 02-17-2007 04:48 AM

Well good to hear she won't need surgery, hopefully she'll pull through.

I do hope it's a good sign surgery isn't necessary. Hope she will steadily improve.

Well, "S.F." (her first and surname initials) is out of the hospital. I was told that she visited the workplace yesterday. She was very weak and wore a neck brace, but hey, she's living. The other two people survived, also. If I hear anything new, I will bring it up here.

lucyrocks73 02-21-2007 12:00 PM

Oh, I'm glad she's okay!!! I'll keep her in my prayers.
