A WIP Sneak Peek *UPDATE* Now done, see pg 2

I finally joined after a bit of lurking... so this is my first post. I'm excited to show a sneak peek of some fan art I'm working on. There will be more to it than what is shown at the moment, but I don't want to give away the whole thing until it's done. :D I hope you like it..

I do. Nice job! :)

Subzeroace 01-07-2007 07:25 PM

Thats, is awesome o.o

Can't wait to see the rest!

chesme 01-07-2007 07:27 PM

Wow, that was quick.. thanks to you both!
I hope to have it done soon.

WiltFan 01-07-2007 08:06 PM

That is really, really good! O_O It looks like it came straight out of the show.:D

chesme 01-07-2007 08:56 PM

Thanks for the compliment, Wiltfan! I'm doing this as vector art, which is how the show is made as well. I was going to do this in digital pastel, but decided to try it out in vector first. I might change to a more painterish look after I get my sketches transferred to digital.

Here's a small update with a request for opinions. Do these characters look right in relation to proportion? Is someone too big/small? I think it looks okay to me, but it's good to get other opinions. (They are sitting, by the way. The line represents the seat level)

Looks great. :wiltshock::D

chesme 01-07-2007 08:59 PM

Thanks, er, Dude! Totally off topic, but I'm originally from AR too... Paragould (Northeast) to be exact. ;)

Cassini90125 01-07-2007 09:02 PM

Looks fine to me. Don't worry too much about getting the sizes exactly right; even on the show it's a little inconsistent from time to time. ;)

kageri 01-07-2007 10:27 PM

Wow, that's really great. Looks just like them! Even the lineart looks just like the art in the show. I must confess that before I saw the line I thought they were joyously jumping into the air.

HappyFoppy 01-07-2007 10:28 PM

Wilt is just like on the show! Nice job, and welcome to NF!

Carlaz 01-08-2007 05:03 AM

Very nice work! :D

Imaginary Light 01-08-2007 11:33 AM

Wow, that is really, really good:) It seriously looks like it came straight out of the show.

And I think the proportions look fine. And as Cassini said, even sometimes on the show it's a little inconsistent.

Bloo2daMacs 01-08-2007 06:48 PM

Bloo2daMacs is extremely impressed!

Personally I think you made Coco's "tree trunk" too short, And coco seems to be a little tall compared to Eduardo. But I base that last statement on a screen grab from The Trouble with Scribbles and as others have said there is a lack of consistency in the show often. I wouldn't worry about that myself, when I draw fanart characters hight gets jumbled anyway ^^ As I said before that is looking way beyond awesome!

Will Frankie and Mac be in it?

Welll.....If you want an opinion, Wilt's hand could be bigger. But other than that, I see no problems. :D

Made a new thread for the finished work. :)
