Eddie Murphy did rather well. Or rather poorly, depending on how you look at it. 8D

Lucky for him, he didn't reprise his role in the sequel to Daddy Day Care, otherwise he would broken some kind of nomination record. :)

Looking at this, I feel bad for Eddie Murphy, Jim Carrey and (possibly) Nicholas Cage for being included in the Razzie nominations. They're nice actors who made some bad decisions in 2007.

Still, always look for the positives in a bad situation. Anyway, here are my choices for the winners(losers):

Worst Picture: I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry

Worst Actor: Adam Sandler

Worst Actress: Jessica Alba

Worst Supporting Actor: Rob Schneider

Worst Supporting Actress: Carmen Electra

Worst Screen Couple: Eddie Murphy as all those people in Norbit

Worst Remake or Ripoff: Epic Movie

Worst Prequel or Sequel: Daddy Day Camp

Worst Director: Dennis Dugan (I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry)

Worst Excuse For A Horror Movie: I Know Who Killed Me

Sometimes bad roles happen to good actors, that is the nature of the beast.

I personally don't agree with about half of the actors and movies on here. Truth be told I saw "Chuck and Larry" and while it was a generally dumb movie I laughed, found it enjoyable and would by NO means stack it up next to the monster turds like "Daddy day camp". I also didn't mind Alba in "FF2: Rise of the silver surfer".

I think people are NUTS downplaying "The Number 23" because I really enjoyed that movie and found it to be interesting and surprising, I don't feel "National Treasure" deserves to be in any of these categories. I don't care if they are referring to the first or second, I don't think that movie belongs anywhere near here.

I'm also shocked to see Orlando Bloom on here for Pirates 3, what the hell? Since when did he get downplayed for the Pirates role? That one really shocked me. I also enjoyed "Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem", I liked it alot. But I can see how many people would turn their noses up at it. I don't like the razzies because mainly its hard for me to hate anything that passionately.

I'm surprised they didn't join the "Let's pick on Spider-Man 3" bandwagon.

frankie_fan 01-21-2008 06:35 PM

I'm actually surprised that Shoot 'Em Up didn't make the nominations, concerning it's poor box office performance in the US.

Invader Bloo 01-21-2008 06:37 PM

Poor Box Office doesn't mean a bad movie. Alot of Oscar winning movies have done very poor at the B.O.
