The Gruen Transfer

A show about advertising - how it works, and how it works on you. Comedian and radio host Wil Anderson along with four panelists from the world of advertising discuss certain ads and why they work, and why they don't. There's also a section called The Pitch, in which two advertisers come up with an ad to sell the unsellable. It's a really good show.

an episode of that parappa the rapper anime on youtube. in a nutshell, the episode was about an old lady wanting to preform at an old abandoned (and soon to be demolished) theater. I thought it was a pretty good episode.

I'm watching a Sarah Brightman special right now on PBS. Dang, I love her, this woman is amazing! I'm very ashamed to not own a single album of hers yet.

I love her voice, the way she sings, the way the music is composed, her costumes, everything. She's my idol.

i watched death note again for the first time in a while. i got kinda bored of it, but seeing all those expressions and movements and how something like eating a potato chip is dramatic again made me smile.

Foster's, specifically Good Wilt Hunting. I have two copies of the episode, one created by my DVD recorder and the other the "official" disc, courtesy of eBay, and I wanted to compare the quality. The eBay disc wins, although not by much; the lines are a little clearer, the colors are a bit sharper, and there's no "Y7" in the upper corner and no CN logo, but overall there's really not too much difference. The homemade copy can be duplicated, unlike the eBay version, but doesn't have any other major advantages.

The episode itself still gets a "B" from me; very enjoyable but a bit overrated.

Nadia: Secret of blue water

Quite possibly in my opinion the greatest anime of all time, and ever created. The story, the characters, the music, its anime perfection in its finest and most fantastic forms.

I'm so happy I got my friend into anime so he can finally see this masterpiece series.

CNN. I've been watching a lot of it today to pass the time and all it has managed to do is get my blood boiling. I really don't know why I watch stuff that gets me so frustrated...:P

That's how I discovered Foster's. I'd been a news junkie at the time but it got to the point where it was pretty much the same reports about Iraq, day after day, and nothing else. It got incredibly frustrating, hoping to hear about something else, anything else, but there was no letup. I went channel surfing one fine afternoon, and the rest is history. And what an amazing history it's been!

The Venture Brothers - Episode 303 - The Invisible Hand of Fate.

For my money the greatest show on the entire Adult Swim line up, sharply written, memorable characters, awesome voice acting and it gets major points for being one of the few animated programs out there that still uses traditional 2d cell based animation. Nothing wrong with computer generated stuff at all, but sometimes you can't beat that classic feel that 2d gives you.

The only downside is that it makes for some loooooooooong amounts of production time between seasons but with a show this good it's, well worth the wait.
