One that is as accurate as you can get, and not written by a total n00b. :D

Vampyre 02-08-2007 12:23 AM

Lol... N00b, i like that word.

For all we know, I may end up writing about it in time, but we'll just have to wait and see.

I've noticed that their are alot of n00bish writers in the Foster's section of FF.net, but I can't help but feel sorry for them when people flame, telling them not to write ever again. I think it's unfair, cuz they're giving the writer a chance to improve.

BACK TO WILT (I can imagine a newsreader saying that. If they did I would just die XD) I remember another Story called Tik Tok Tak Tuk, which only had three chapter but was just the definition of awesomeageness, which was about Wilt suddenly feeling very odd about Frankie, you know, blushing and butterflies and such. But then, TERRENCE appears at the door and their's like, a conflict between them about Frankie. It's just an amazing story, and the chapters, although their aren't many, are REALLY long, and REALLY interesting!

Yes, I've read that story, but it's sad that it doesn't make very much sense to me. XD

Vampyre 02-08-2007 06:44 AM

I had to read it quite a few times before I completely understood it. And when I did understand, boy was I happy XD

I read that story, which was never completed, and while it was well-written and had a lot of potential, the inclusion of Terrence in there to complete a "Lover's Triangle" was just...don't even have words for it! The writer admitted that when she started the story, she didn't realize that Terrence was only THIRTEEN; she thought he was like, eighteen, and legally an adult, so she figured it would not be such a big deal for him and Frankie to "get it on", so to speak, which would wind up making him and Wilt rivals. Keep in mind this was WAAAAY back at the beginning of the show, like in Season One, and Dylan Lee had yet to be introduced. We've also seen in "Duchess of Wails" that Terrence is a bit intimidated by Wilt, anyway, and one of those patented Wilt "Tower of Terror" glowers is enough to send him packin', but then, he IS still just a kid, just as much so as Mac is, and actually a lot less mature, mentally and emotionally, than his younger brother.

You know, I've never really thought about it in THAT way.... In fact, I'd forgotten COMPLETELY just how old terrence was, so it probably didn't bother me so much... Actually it didn't bother me at all but thats not the point.

Back breifly onto the n00bish side of the fosters catergory, why is it only the people who aren't exactly thebest at writing the people who create Wilt/OC couples? (excluding me seeing as, not to brag, my story isn't too bad if I do say so myself).

Alot of the time, when you read those stories, they never have much of a plot, things are pretty rushed, and everythign is kinda (very) outta character, even if people do shove in the countless 'Sorrys' that Wilt utters a buhmillion times a day.

Yeah! I read that this kid is still working on the story, but has many other stories to work on (few of which I won't be reading, since s/he gave us a summery for each story). Sheesh, must've been alot more that I thought!:wiltshock:

If you go back and read the author's last notes on the story, this entry as made nearly three years ago, unless she(it is a girl)has updated since the last time I checked it out. Part of the thing is that many of the writers are very young, and they develope a crush/obsession with one character, then after a few weeks a different character catches their fancy, and they more or less drop the first like the proverbial hot potato. They lose all interest in the first character, stop writing about him/her, stop drawing him/her, etc. It could very well be that the writer in this case simply no longer cares about Wilt, or about Foster's, at all.

THOSE are the Wilt/OC stories I hate. When relationships form like, at the beginning of the story, instead of the end. Making it rushed and quick to make a relationship just doesn't work. Not even in the real world. Writing things that can't be very accurate to the real world aren't cut out for fanfiction. That's basicly making the characters (and the author) look stupid, setting a bad example of the show. If people who don't know what Foster's is reads the totally wrong fanfiction, who knows what'll happen. The n00b writers not only will make a disgrace to fellow, truely hard-working fanfiction writers, but also might steal away new fans as well.

The "sorry"s that Wilt says a lot won't be enough to a story, even if he says it at least TEN times a day. Maybe even more than that on some days, like when he totally screws up and is afraid of recieving the worst possible punishment, which you don't want to know what that is, since Herriman almost did so on Bloo. The story needs a good, thought-out plot, and more than just one character in the story, even if it's just a one-shot fic. Though I have to agree that some characters are hard to write for various reasons. I, for real, have trouble writing Eduardo, due to his Spanglish tongue. I know very little of Spanish.
