I disagree. I originally thought the same would happen with shows like Family Guy and Robot Chicken, since both of their gags rely heavily on complete insanity and total random crap that just pops out of no where.
Everything Cheese says and does embodied this random behavior, he always acts differently. Even in "The Big Cheese", after singing the key code "song" a few times he eventually changed his way of singing it into that crazy dance at the end.
But I think what will make Cheese remain funny is the use of him. Cheese isn't always the focus, and he's strictly used for comedy so it makes him harder to make the focus anyway. It all depends on the amount of usage for him in the show.
Same goes for Goo, they are not the official main cast, Mac, Bloo, Coco, Eduardo, Wilt, Frankie, and Mr. Herriman are more or less the main cast. We see all of them in the openeing sequence so it pretty much gurantees their stardom.
But Cheese and Goo are just comical newbies that prove to be well liked, which is why the creators said they try to squeeze them in whenever they can. Cheese can stay funny, it's just a matter of how many times they decide to use Cheese. |
