When someone won't take one of my business cards when I offer it. People like to take one, look at it, tell me the logo's cute, and give it back. No, its a business card, you're supposed to keep it. People act like I'm making a big sacrifice when I tell them no really, they can keep it. It's a business card, I have hundreds. :terrconf:

Gee Sparky, sorry to hear that. Common sense is a lost trait in the country. That and REAL customer service. A business I have my investments with, needs to council their representatives. I had to talk with a manager to iron out the problems. I can tell you from experience - managers do not like to be bothered. Keep us out of your workspace, by doing things right the first time!:frankiemad:

My friend's birthday is Saturday, I was making her present and it messed up. Now I have to go out and get more materials to do it over tomorrow (because its too late to get them today) and hope I get it done in time. -_-

Very true; I've had stuff stolen and it's pretty upsetting. It really annoys me that people are turning this punk into some kind of folk hero. He's no hero; he's a criminal, period, and nothing more. :P

Cassini90125 08-05-2010 02:35 PM

I see that you and I are going to get along just fine. ;)

Nothing in particular ticking me off today, although having to call the cab company twice for a ride home was annoying. The Bishop's Corner area is very well known, it can't be that hard to find. :P

OMG! We are definitely going to get along! Sopranos! H-E-double hockey sticks yeah! I am from AZ, so we have our moronic tourists (Cass does not count); Anti-Twihard? That is a PLUS! And most of that list is definitely great!:blooevil:

I sorta live in Arizona, but not really. I'm kinda on the sate line between Nevada and Arizona. I'm a bout a couple hours from Vegas. I visit Vegas about obce a month cuz my sister lives there.

Now, most people know what theyre doing when they go to LV, but some are just.... not very smart.

One thing I know for sure, when you see one of these tourists calls a Vegas tranny a flamer, RUN FAR, FAR, AWAY!!! :wiltshock:

I guess you liked my dislikes too? thats awesome! I thought I had some perty bizzare pet-peeves.

People who are intolerant of people who aren't the same as them ticks me off, and that extends to folks who basically call themselves superior to others because they don't use certain types of websites, such as social networking. You don't have to like or use Facebook or Twitter, just kindly don't call me stupid because I do. Those sites are popular for a reason: they are useful to some of us. So shut up. -_-

Sorry, huge drama in the local geocaching group. :jk:

zachary2142 08-18-2010 02:27 PM

Sometimes, too much love is painful...

So, recently I got hooked up on South Park... again. So I decided to check ff.net for some good fanfics, and OF COURSE most of the stories are slash.

I mean, I don't mind slash that much. Heck, sometimes I don't mind reading some but for God's sake, how much can you take? 3744 stories are filed under "Romance", and from the last 15 minutes of browsing it seems most of these are slash, especially StanXKyle (which I can sort of understand - super best friends and all) and KyleXCartman (which boggles the mind).

The worst thing is, the non-romance parts of the plot in some of these fics are great - very interesting and well thought out. But of course the "romance" parts ruin the fic completely, because of the OOCness of the characters that creeps in.

If anyone knows a good non-romance South Park story, please send me a PM with a link - I'll be eternally grateful.

Sorry if I offended any slash lovers out there - I didn't mean to, but the amount of slash fics out there has reached epic proportions.

/end rant again sorry

I just posted a photo of one of my favorite tarantulas and someone took time out of their day to comment on how they wanted to stomp him into oblivion. Why say anything???? No one was forcing them look at the photo let alone make a hateful comment on it. Most people don't know what its like to have random strangers always telling them they want their pets to die. -_-

GAWD! People are DUMB! Cass and I saw some very interesting tarantulas when we were at the desert creature museum in Tombstone, AZ. Cass ought to show us that blonde tarantula that was there. He has a cool photo of it.

Sheesh, that is so incredibly childish and rude. Don't idiots like this have anything better to do with their lives? :frankiemad:

I replied to another person's comment and he replied to that, so he's apparently hanging around my gallery now. I'm expecting him to troll all my other tarantula photos now too.

What? Doesn't this person have anything better to do with his time?

I don't blame you for being angry about what he said about your tarantula. If someone said they'd like to kill one of my pets, I'd be absolutely furious.

Speaking of pets... I used to look at videos of guinea pigs to cheer myself up until very recently, when about half the results involved them being hurt, abused or fed to other animals (for entertainment purposes). Now not only am I too nervous to search for them again, but I'm now slightly paranoid about my own guinea pigs. That really irritates me. I hate feeling insecure like that.

Proving more that stupid can't be cured:

I work at a Publix supermarket in the deli department, where all our meats and cheeses are clearly labeled, clearly signed and clearly priced. Yet the cul-de-sac congregations and soccer moms we get as customers whom the DMV unwisely allowed to have driver's licenses come in stare at our wares for minutes on end and either asks "what do you have?" or they'll ask in general "give me some ham." And we ask "which kind would you like?" and they reply "what do you have?" And then they ask "how much does it cost?" when they are looking directly at the price signs.

God, take me now.

My theory is that, I think prolonged exposure to the florescent lights that a lot of these stores use, has some kind of stupefying effect on the general public.

Ccook50 10-11-2010 06:05 AM

Either that or it's the cell phones attached to their ears with them carrying on conversation while they're looking to get something. Stupid and rude.

Howard 10-12-2010 06:29 PM

To which I will segway into people driving and talking on cell phones (sans the hands free piece). Going up my favorite highway, and this idiot is in the FAST lane. I hated to do it, but I cut around him and in front of him (as close I can come to hitting him). Then I tapped my brakes. You should have seen the wide eyes in my rearview mirror. A car is a vehicle not a phone booth!:frankiemad:

Cassini90125 10-15-2010 11:27 PM

Cars + cellphones = accidents. :P

DA is currently annoying me; the new pics page is refusing to update. The newest new pic is, as of this writing, over 3.5 hours old. How can I give out faves, llama badges, and/or DA points if I have nothing new to look at? Yeah, it's a minor annoyance, but it's still an annoyance. :P

Because of a hidden offer when reserving my hotel in SD for next year, I was broke for over two weeks! I survived on ramen, cotto salami sandwiches, and peanut butter and crackers. Anybody mentions any of these foods - will get a mouthful of knuckles!:frankiemad:

I can sympathize with that, I was pretty much in the same boat after this years past excursion. (Totally worth it though.)

Getting back on topic, we all know Telemarketers are pretty annoying.

But what can make them even more annoying?

How about them calling your number looking for the people who used to own that phone number (most likely because their call list is outdated.) Then when you tell them they have a wrong number, they immediately try their sales pitch on you.

Happened to me this morning, needless to say the call was dropped like yesterday's garbage.

So far I have been lucky. No telemarketer has touched me for over two years so far; but I can sympathize with that.:bloocross:

I don't even bother answering the phone if I don't recognize the number on the caller ID. And instead of the now-common voice mail, I have an old school answering machine so I can screen the calls in case I want to pick it up anyway. Works for me. Especially this election season. I didn't have to talk to someone trying to push me to vote one way or the other at all. :)

When networks cut or censor TV shows, particularly when they're really, really pointless edits :/ (..not that I was watching some DVDs earlier on and noticed a scene that I hadn't seen before, only to realize that it had obviously been cut when they showed it on TV, or anything.. XD; ).

Oh, and when networks over-show TV shows. I dislike Ben 10 and Spongebob Squarepants to begin with (no offense if you like them, they're just not my cup of tea), but, over here at least, whenever there's a holiday, weekend or.. anything, Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon show both of those over and over again D: It drives me nuts, y'know? ^^; I don't mind marathons, but after the 20th one more or less in a row they start to wear a little thin x'D;.

Yeah, marathons can be pretty annoying after awhile. Even Foster's marathons can be annoying, especially when they run the less-than-stellar episodes (Imposter's, The Little Peas, most of the Goo and Cheese episodes, etc.). Not that CN even remembers Foster's, let alone plays a Foster's marathon. ::) :P

I feel that x_x Only time they show Foster's over here (outside of Christmas and Halloween) is after 11 pm [and it's just the shorts, too - not that the shorts aren't good, or anything, but it's not the same as a full episode ^^;).

And esh, I see what you mean, that kind of abuse is uncalled for D: It's probably some kid who doesn't realize how much work can go into voice acting and stuff, that's how they come off to me. Still uncalled for, though.
