How did you even come to that conclusion? I don't consider myself a loser and I'm like that... well, I'm fairly good at talking to people, but when I don't have new things to read, I read things I've already read multiple times. I read Memoirs of a Geisha in like 2 days.

Here is another one:

When people drink out of your juice pitcher (like Kool Aid), and leave only a swallow left.:frankiemad:

SkittleMonkey 01-24-2007 06:38 PM

Ugh, that's what my oldest brother does! Then he just expects people to drink it after he's put his mouth all over the opening of the pitcher!

Sparky 01-24-2007 06:47 PM

My dad would do that sort of thing (leaving only a little bit, not putting his mouth on the container :) ). But that would annoy everyone, because sometimes you'd see a container in the fridge/freezer and assume it has at LEAST one serving in it; then you open it and there's like, half a cookie, or five cornflakes, or a teaspoon of ice cream. What's the point?? He always said that he didn't feel guilty about finishing something off if he left a tiny bit. But it was SO annoying!

*shifty eyes* My mom always tells me, "Don't eat all the cookies!" So I eat all but one.

Hey hey hey, you're no loser. What's wrong with getting lost in a book? It's an awesome way to enjoy yourself.

And not liking social situations? Nothing wrong with that (in my opinion, at least). I'm pretty much a loner. I fear social gatherings and hate going to parties. Way back when kids still invited me to their birthday parties, my mom would RSVP for me without my consent.
I'm afraid of talking to people on the telephone, too.

I'm sort of that way, because I'm always afraid of sounding really stupid, especially when leaving a message. Bah.

scary_dream 01-24-2007 09:31 PM

I dislike talking on the tele because usually whoever I'm talking with and I don't have much to say, and we end up listening to eachother breathe. I'm also kind of an anti-social person... I'm not really that way by choice, I just get along with VERY few people. I wish I were more accepting, but I tend to get annoyed very quickly. :( It's a bad thing.

I'm SEVERELY angered creepy guys who won't get the message. I'm sure there are nice guys everywhere, but the it seems only the creepy ones hit on me. Even after I tell them I have a boyfriend, they still accost me! I'm flattered, yes, but OMG just let me shop!!

I even brought my boyfriend into the store with me once and they accosted BOTH of us, telling him "She's so pretty, you'd better take care of her." Or what?! And what business is it of theirs to be telling him what to do just because they think I'm pretty!? ARGGGG!!!!! :terrence:

Howard 01-25-2007 09:23 AM

Oooh! I HATE the phone! To me it is a tool to conduct business. You call me - state your business, and know what you want; I don't need a story of the subject at hand. Don't take 5 minutes on a 10 second explanation.

Jabberwocky 01-25-2007 11:52 AM

I hate the phone too. I like talking to people in person.

On that note, I hate instantmessaging/chats, because it can be really hard to pick up on tone, or people will type stuff that wouldn't be nearly as interesting or funny as if they said it to your face. Two of my friends got together and then broke up over AIM and it's like... um, you don't have the balls to say it out loud? What is THAT? It seems so cold and impersonal.

And then :] there's ^_^ the people who o_O abuse *3* the privledge of :[ -_- :V ;] :O EMOTICONS. AHHH!! They probably turn their head sideways when they smile at you in real life.

I know that scenario all too well.

This probably sounds really mean of me, but I think I'm afraid of the phone because a classmate of mine used to call me everyday and talk for hours and hours and hours. Then one day she invited me to go see a movie with her and a couple of other friends, but I told her I couldn't go because I would be gone the whole day. But she called the house anyway and left so many messages on the answering machine that it broke.

I hate it when people stare at me, and I don't mean staring as in when people watch you perform or give a presentation.

Telemarketers calling right at dinner time! ::)

AerostarMonk 01-25-2007 01:03 PM

I'm super-introverted. I hardly leave my house, I'm so awkward. I don't have a fear of people as much as them not liking me or making fun of me.

I've got that, too, to some extent. I think a lot of people do. :bloosad:

I cannot stand people, but that is not enough to keep me from going out of my house and having a life. I have my friends, and my hiking buddies and so on. I love my house (home owner ya know), but i also like to be out and about.:bloogrin

AerostarMonk 01-25-2007 02:20 PM

I don't have many friends, and there's no much to do in this town. I wish there was a reason for me to leave the house. But other than exercise there really isnt. But I'm okay in here. I just want to move out of this boring burg.

kageri 01-25-2007 03:43 PM

On the subject of talking on the phone... this doesn't "tick me off" per se, but I get nervous talking to people with really thick accents because I feel stupid if I have to keep asking them to repeat what they say.

some guy you dont know 01-25-2007 04:23 PM

4kids. that annoys me more than algebra. and thats saying something.

You're not alone, I have the attention span of a gnat. The last book I read was in November. ):

Crash-N-Cortex 01-25-2007 08:20 PM

Another thing that ticks me off is people not noticing you or not paying attention of what you are going to say.

derangedperson 01-25-2007 09:15 PM

What? :bloogrin

Seriously though--the one thing that truly grinds my gears is the Black Eyed Peas. Bar "Let's Get It Started," everything they've released is annoying garbage, and every time I see them on TV I want to hurl it out my window.

Voxxyn 01-26-2007 10:55 AM

I find the Black Eyed Peas to be mildly amusing if viewed as pure self-parody and cheese.

I DESPISE the Pussycat Dolls. They represent everything that I hate about girls. :(

Don't let them mar your opinion of girls in general. They're just especially gross ones.

Jabberwocky 01-26-2007 12:57 PM

Wow, Vox beat me to it.

Aside from being gross, they're horrible musicians.

Cassini90125 01-26-2007 02:05 PM

Violent, sex-laced fanfics really set me off. :frankiemad:

kageri 01-26-2007 02:21 PM

The phrase "It's always in the last place you look". It's so unhelpful. Of course it's in the last place you look! If it wasn't, you'd still be looking!

BlooCheese 01-26-2007 04:25 PM

When I go to the book store to get something good to read and discover, much to my dismay, that the cover of a book that I would like to buy of which there is only one copy appears as if somebody ate it. (I like books in my personal collection to look new, even after I've read them.)

Isn't there even a little blurb inside books about that? Like "If you bought this book without a cover, it is probably stolen and the author won't get any money for it" or whatever.

Howard 01-26-2007 04:26 PM

Another pet peeve of mine: "because I said so." I hate that, my father used to say that to me all the time.:frankiemad:

Ugh, I HATE that. It's just a short way of saying, "Do as I say or I will hurt you." :terrence:

Congratulations on your 500th post, by the way.

I FOUND IT.

Carlaz 01-27-2007 08:14 AM

Why is it when you only have 1 item to buy at the store the person ahead of you is fumbling in their wallet to find the exact change!? ::)

Partymember 01-27-2007 09:03 AM

OMG, i was in Grand Union and this dude from New Jersey was in front of me in line, and he left his cart there for me to push out of the way! I freaked out on him and screamed expletives. He looked back indifferently and kept walking. I put him on my list (LOL)

Jabberwocky 01-27-2007 02:23 PM

It's annoying when I'm trying to put together a playlist for my myspace, and I search for a song and it gives me something totally wrong. I said SUPERMAN by THE KINKS, if I wanted Fly Like An Eagle I would have typed in, 'Fly Like An Eagle.'

some guy you dont know 01-27-2007 02:38 PM

when your burning a cd and you forget to add even one song. you have to start all over again, but at least with the ones i got (CD-RW) i dont have to get out another CD.

Jabberwocky 01-27-2007 05:19 PM

OMG, I always mess up CD-R's. I have like ten of them with only one song hahaha.

some guy you dont know 01-28-2007 12:50 AM

ok, another thing i just now thought of.

every night, literally, i always hear these annoying noises that sound like rocks or rain or something smashing across the window. that fact its a big window and my bed is next to it doesnt help. and its what keeps me up so long every night.

i actually got up about 10 minuites ago just to put this here because it annoys me that much

Jabberwocky 01-28-2007 01:00 AM

Maybe there's a strange person watching you and grinding pebbles against the window sill.

I hate ninjas. Shut up naruto. I don't believe it.
