I don't know if I may get 3-D glasses for this episode. I can try to watch it without 3-D glasses, but I don't know if it would be visible or not.

Well, I might make my own, if I find out where to buy those Mylar plastics... Either way, the ep looks good!

I'm going to attemp to watch the episode without the glasses. I've already tried a 3-D page and the CheeseQuest game and could see it all fine. Too bad I didn't keep an old Nickelodian magazine that had the 3-D glasses! I could have really used them right now!

I work in the Stationary department at Wal-Mart which covers the two sections mentioned and I can say I've never seen any 3-D glasses kits for sale there. I don't know if this is the case for Wal-Marts down in the U.S. though.
Also, I would have though that the shadowy figure with the odd shaped head would have been Cheese. I wouldn't be surprised if Cheese makes an appearance in the episode. :cheese: Quote:

2 things:
1. The PG rating could be covering the entire night of Fried Dynamite, after all, those Goosebumps specials have PG ratings. 2. I'm most likely not going to have the glasses by Friday. Do you think that if I tape it with my VCR, the 3-D coding will still remain? |
*sigh*
Can't find 3D glasses ANYWHERE, for the LIFE OF ME!!! I don't know what was meant by the new issue of TIME for Kids, because no such thing seems to exist. In a last resort, I went to Target today, to search in the stationary/party section,. Nope. Looked in the VG section. Nope. Asked a clerk and was directed to the reading glasses.... Uh, I don't think 3D glasses would be in with the reading glasses... ::) At least the girl was trying to help, though. But obviously, nope. Looked in the games section (SceneIt type DVD games), nope. Looked in the toys. Found 3D viewfinders, more novelty glasses, but nope. Looked in the craft section for some kind of kit or at least red and blue plastic film, nope. Looked for the tenth time in the DVD section, trying to read every cover and spine in the entire store for anything that is in 3D and comes with glasses. All I found was a 3D version of "Night of the Living Dead" for $19.99, and it came with four pairs of glasses. I've never been a fan of horror, just not my taste, so ugh (no offense to horror fans). But FINE! I bought it. Took two pairs of glasses out of it, and think I'll send the DVD and the other two pairs to my brother since he likes horror flicks and knows as well as anyone else how cool 3D is. At least I have glasses now, and another pair to spare (or share). Ha, I just rhymed, and didn't mean to... Anyway, thus ends the story of my search for the Holy Grail..er, 3D glasses. Tried them on as soon as I took them out of the case and I forgot how cool these glasses are. I could barely see my digital clock (red LED), everything seemed to flash when I moved my head... Pretty cool. ;) And now I officially can look forward to seeing this episode! |
It looks like I'll watch the episode without them. Then again, the 3D effects may not really be all that great, anyway.
|
I doubt they'll be all that great, too; I still think the whole 3-D thing is mostly for publicity. Worth a look, sure, but in the end I doubt it'll be particularly memorable.
Those of you without glasses might want to try your local Walgreens or it's equivalent. They're giving the glasses away for "Regis & Kelly"; mine had over 200 pairs left this afternoon. |
Good or bad 3D, it can't spoil an episode entirely. I'm still looking forward to it, even if the 3D is said to be a bit crappy. :D
