Her voice sounds a little younger in that episode, too, a little higher in pitch.

This thread has 1162 Posts now. All of them were postive about Frankie afaik. I didn't post in this thread yet, so I'll say it now: Frankie's a great character and I completely understand why she has tons of fans. ;)

Indeed she is! If there's one thing I like about her, it's that she's able to be a caring gentle person, while still looking beautiful at the same time.

I'd love to see an episode where Frankie and her friend Kathy take Coco on a girls night out. Well, I just want to see an episode that shows why Frankie and Kathy are friends.

That would make a good episode, especially if the boys get jealous. I can see Orlando Bloo making a third appearence. :bloogrin 8-)

Voxxyn 02-07-2007 08:14 AM

An episode showing the friendship of Frankie and Kathy would be nice--but NO Orlando Bloo or "boys getting jealous" or anything like that. No offense, but I hate that "war of the sexes" garbage. :( ::)

I posted a Frankie-centered episode idea on the second page of the "Setting A President" episode thread(it's a little long, so go there and read it for yourself). Kathy could appear in that episode, as Frankie's only genuine non-Foster's human friend, and provide some emotional support for Frankie.

Howard 02-07-2007 10:06 AM

Surely, I would think with Frankie's dynamic personality (albeit an introverted person), would have more friends than just Kathy; there was a group of friends she went out with in FMD (no mention of who - besides Kathy).

Voxxyn 02-07-2007 10:29 AM

I'm not saying that Kathy is her only human friend; I was merely talking within the setup of that episode idea. It's a little hard to explain, but trust me, I know her personality is something that would inspire people to want to be friends with her.

The focus of that episode idea is to show how negatively her social life is affected by the nature of her job(both in terms of finding the actual free time to hang out with her current pals and the risk of being publicly stigmatized for working with something as "childish" as imaginary friends), making her a little desperate to branch out, only to end up with a wrong set of friends... and then forming an unexpected bond with a seemingly unlikely person(Mr. Herriman).

I hope that made some sense. :macwor:

Woah, something just occured to me!:wiltshock: There may be no proof of this, but what if Kathy is Mac's mom? You may never know!;)

Uhhh I think this is kinda stretching the reality bar a bit. Frankie's friend Kathy has never been mentioned until now, and Mac's mom (to me) seems a bit old to be hanging out with someone as young as Frankie. I mean 22 isn't really old.

I should know. But seriously, it seems unlikely Mac's mom and Kathy are one and the same. Mac's mom would no doubt at some point speak of her sons to her friends and if Frankie was her friend, she'd have been told like way before.

Which would have affected the fact Frankie first met Mac in "House of Bloo's" and this really falls into too much of a "what if" category, or a loose way to connect certain aspects of the show to other things to make it seem bigger.

Voxxyn 02-07-2007 05:44 PM

I think having Mac's mom as Kathy would cause a lot of continuity holes. Sorry, "C". :(

Sparky 02-07-2007 06:39 PM

I personally think people try WAY too hard to make Mac's mom something else in the show. Of course, I may one day be proven wrong when it turns out she's like, responsible for Foster's Home somehow. :P

Cassini90125 02-09-2007 01:47 AM

I think it'll turn out that she's responsible for Mac, and indirectly for Bloo, but that's it. She and Frankie have no relationship of any sort.

Wilt's Sorry 02-09-2007 08:58 PM

Desipte it being a Bloo quote, on of the best quotes I've ever heard on Foster's was about Frankie.

"Yeah, Frankie says relax" - Bloo.

I laughed so hard, being a fan of the 80s that I am. That line was totally put in there for the more mature audience.

Frankie is a top-notch gal.
Tripple fab with knobs.

Cassini90125 02-10-2007 12:43 AM

Yeah, it's a funny quote. I wonder how many viewers have a clue as to what it means, though? I missed it the first time I saw the episode, though admittedly my attention was focused elsewhere.

From "Bloo's The Boss":

Just a couple of screencaps spliced together, done simply because I wanted to make a single larger image. I was pretty happy with this one; I think she looks gorgeous, even for her.

I totally got it, being as 80's pop culture savvy as I am.

In fact when I first started watching the show, and found out there was a character named Frankie, I knew that one of the writing staff working a "Frankie Says Relax" joke into an episode was inevitable.

Voxxyn 02-10-2007 07:36 AM

That's a GREAT shot. I can't notice any rough edges at all. Wonderful once again.

Medikor 02-10-2007 08:55 AM

That pic looks great, Cassini! It's as good, if not better than the one you did of Frankie in her pink&purple dress. Nice work as always.:D
I've been pretty pleased with Teletoon as of late. They have have been playing alot of Frankie episodes this week. First it was Store Wars, then World Wide Wabbit, and now Frankie My Dear!
I havent been watching Foster alot latley because I don't want it to go stale, but I had to watch these episodes again. I forgot how cute Frankie looked with that baseball cap on.;)

Sparky 02-10-2007 05:40 PM

NICE, Cassini!!

Howard 02-12-2007 07:12 AM

I like your pic Cass! Frankie looks cute as always!

Cassini90125 02-12-2007 08:26 AM

My thanks, as always. Glad you all liked it.

If anyone would like their name included on the Valentine's Day pic that I'm trying to make for her, please PM me. The final design will depend on how many names I have to deal with.

Patience, gentlemen, I'll have a couple of pics ready before the day is over. Right now I'm just finishing up, and waiting to see if anyone else wants their names added.

This would be Bloo's way of getting back for Coco and Goo crashing the slumber party at Mac's when Bloo only invited Wilt and Edwardo. Yet Coco showed up with Goo.

I like to think that if she could, she'd send us something like this:

Based on the green dress from The Big Picture.

Medikor 02-14-2007 12:25 PM

That would irritate me even more since Frankie had NOTHING to do with the boy/girl mini-war in "Infernal Slumber"... and unlike Coco and Goo, Frankie has almost no free time for fun or relaxation, so I'd be more than a little upset if Frankie's only night off were to be ruined by such a stupid thing.

But, anyway--I LOVE THAT CARD, CASS. Can't wait for the other one.

While I admit, Frankie had nothing to do with the boy/girl mini-war in "Infernal Slumber", keep in mind, this sounds like it would be Bloo's idea, and we all know Bloo doesn't always think things through 100% in detail. I can almost imagine the scene at Foster's as Bloo comes up with his idea to crash Frankie's party.

Bloo: Come on, I think it's time we got back at the girls for coming to my slumber party.

Mac: Riiight, at my house, without my permission.

Edwardo: But Azul, Senor Frankie had nothing to do with Goo and Coco showing up.

Bloo: And your point is?

(Edwardo is about to speak when Bloo interrupts him): Now come on! Time's a-wasting!

Mr. Marshmallow 02-14-2007 03:10 PM

I enjoyed the card, it looks nice and quite sweet Cass, I think you capture her "tone" and choice of words rather nicely. The smile and dress are a little weird for me just because I know there painted on, but it's nothing too bad.

Don't take my words negatively as I always feel constructive criticism is needed for any artist, be it drawing or writing. But it's a sweet Valentine and I too would like to think if she was real and she knew about all of us and our talks etc.

She'd send something like this, or at least post a thank you on youtube from her computer or something :D.

Cassini90125 02-14-2007 04:47 PM

My thanks to all, of course, and I always appreciate all comments, be they praise or critique. For those interested in the technical details, her smile is the same as in the original screencap, rotated 180 degrees, her hair and hands were spliced in from another screencap (I forget which), and the shoes were based on the pair she wore with the little black dress in Frankie My Dear.

From all of us to her:

Happy Valentine's Day, Frankie. :-*

I second that Frankie, happy Valentine's Day!

And Cass in regards to that latest pic, :wiltshock: HOLY FREAKING HELL!

THAT'S AMAZING!!! What a tribute, any girl would be proud to have that as her valentine, Frankie deserves nothing but the best and THAT is what you delivered to her.
