We wore the Forrester costumes but I have no photos. Oh well.

scary_dream 10-31-2009 11:13 PM

I'm sure it still looked awesome!

Oh, and BTW, I got NO trick or treaters. Disappointment!!

Once upon a time, there was a little furry mermaid who was beached, and thus stranded because she couldn't move.

http://photos-b.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos..._1447430_n.jpg

She pleaded with all who came by, but they all thought she was fine, so they just left her alone. This made her very sad, and she finally fell asleep.

http://photos-c.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos..._6047730_n.jpg

And then she started to dream. She dreamed that Peter Pan came to save her! But instead of saving her, he walked the other way, and she was greatly annoyed.

http://photos-e.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos..._8135159_n.jpg

But Peter Pan was also greatly annoyed. He decided he no longer liked his hat. "Why do I need to keep wearing this hat?" he asked.

http://photos-a.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos..._7874888_n.jpg

So he graveled at the feet of a witch. "Please, can you take this hat off me so I never have to wear it ever again?"

http://photos-h.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos..._3035632_n.jpg

But she didn't take it off, and Peter Pan was greatly annoyed. He decided he needed to slay the witch with his dagger.

http://photos-b.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos..._4716095_n.jpg

For the witch was evil, and thought Peter Pan looked cute in his hat, and thought the mermaid looked cute beached on the sand. And she liked to laugh at their pain.

http://photos-d.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos..._5527588_n.jpg

So the mermaid dreamed that Peter Pan was as miserable as she was, and she couldn't hold a grudge against him for not saving her from being beached by the evil witch.

http://photos-f.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos..._5694665_n.jpg

And then she woke up to find the tide had come in and she was non longer beached. She was free! Yay! But a little elf had stolen her purple bikini top. Was her nightmare just beginning?!

http://photos-a.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos..._2921409_n.jpg

Meanwhile, another little elf had stolen Peter Pan's hat. So his nightmare was over.

Such is the life of the little furry mermaid and Peter Pan.

The End.

Happy Halloween!!

Awww Lynnie I love your Halloween "Once upon a time..." kitty costume stories! They are so adorable <3 I am happy to see a new character of the bunny persuasion :D

8D You're a trip, Lynnie. 8D

Lynnie 10-31-2009 11:47 PM

I didn't get any trick-or-treaters tonight either. :( Oh well, all that much more chocolate for me! I swear, the practice is going out of style. The kids are going to parties instead now days. There was one of those happening in my complex's office building tonight. I could hear the noise they were making, sounded like they were having fun.

And thank you for the compliments! By the way, the cast is
  • Little Furry Mermaid- My mom's cat Jing Ling
  • Peter Pan- My cat Joey
  • The Evil Witch- Me
  • The "bottomless" elf- My mom's cat Arwyn
  • The hat stealing elf- My sister's rabbit Kicker
And if anyone is interested in seeing more of my costume, if you couldn't tell from the pics above, I went with an Edwardian outfit. I didn't want to answer the door wearing Edwardian underwear, so I went a head and wore the whole outfit. I still took pictures of the underwear, though. I'll keep them behind links just in case, but don't worry, I'm wearing at least three layers in the first, and four in the second. They're no where near the standard that "underwear" is today. ;)

http://photos-b.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos..._7867885_n.jpg
First layer of Edwardian underpinnings (I'm actually wearing three layers here)

http://photos-h.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos..._3655831_n.jpg
Second layer (now I'm wearing four layers). Joey being there was not planned, but it turned out cute, lol

http://photos-g.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos...8_440147_n.jpg
And the last layer, the actual dress. In desperate need of an ironing, but oh well. :P

And I LOVE these boots, they're my pride and joy. Not only authentic looking, they're also comfortable. Last time I wore them, I got them caked with mud, so that's why they look a little dirty.

Out trick-or-treating was down this year because of:
  • The Economy;
  • Rain on Halloween morning;
  • The World F***ing Champion Phillies playing the Yankees at home in Game 3 of the World Series;
  • More Halloween rain.
Take your choice. Also, a few weeks before our Wildwood trip was scheduled, we had to cancel because they changed the Halloween parade date. Thankfully, we got the money back from the hotel when they had learned of the change.

And thank you to everyone who said they liked mah costume =D

Right now I am sitting at home waiting for the first trick or treaters I've ever had in my life. I have lived out in the country or "no trick or treaters" apartment complexes for my entire life, so this is my first year to do it and I am SO excited. I will be upset if I don't at least get one. Seriously lol.

I got the keyblade at a store called Zen Garden.
cost me $60!
but I love it.

Imaginary Light 11-01-2009 07:41 AM

Aww, Lynnie, I love your kitty story! And I want your Edwardian outfit, especially those BOOTS!

Here's me as Lady Gaga (also featuring my sister as swine flu :P)

The party was fun...everyone was uh, wasted and it was really funny.:P

x_dummkoff_x 11-01-2009 09:23 AM

lol at the swine flu!

Cassini90125 11-01-2009 11:25 AM

8D Swine flu. 8D

You both look great; I love how that wig looks on you. Excellent costumes!

Imaginary Light 11-01-2009 01:13 PM

Thanks, Cass! How about you, did you dress up this year?

Cassini90125 11-01-2009 01:31 PM

I wore my favorite jacket, jeans and a dark shirt, and spent two hours hiding in my favorite Chinese restaurant. :bloocross:

There wasn't any Halloween activity in my area, partially due to the rain. No parties this year either, so my Darth Vader suit stayed in the closet. Just as well; it's not that easy to get into and it weights at least 60 pounds. :P

Lynnie 11-01-2009 07:46 PM

That turned out perfect, IL! I think the wig looks great, too. And I love your sis as Swine Flu, lol. This is why I love Halloween so much. I just LOVE all these costumes!

And Dumkoff, I don't think I commented on yours yet, have I? I love your black cloak as Vexen. :D I like the red one, too, but black is more... mysterious.

scary_dream 11-01-2009 11:41 PM

@ Lynnie: Your authentic costume is wonderful! Did you have someone make it or did you purchase it somewhere? You should totally troll someone online with those photos haha... "Wanna see pics of me in my underwear?" 8D

@ I_L: You and your sis both look great! Your makeup looks awesome!

One of my friends wore a shirt that said "GO CEILINGS!!" on the front, and on the back it said "CEILINGS #1!". He was a ceiling fan... *Groooaaan* ::)
