Yeah, I love it when I get ignored. ::) Would y'all prefer it if I split these posts off into its own thread so you can continue? There's nothing *wrong* with this discussion, it's just that it's gone off-topic and I'm trying to rescue the original thread.

My advice would be no, this has become more of a fight then a topic.

But that's just me and my 2 cents. And just so everyone is CRYSTAL clear on my post's intentions, I am simply giving my response to Sparky's question.

I am NOT getting back into this dicussion again in anyway, shape or form.

Ya rly. I mean, it ended up becoming a Monster's, Inc. disscussion. :o

Anyway...I think I had a cartoon crush when I was little, but I'm not positive. Oh, wait...it was Buster Bunny from Tiny Toon Adventures.

I had a small crush on him, but like ruki said, I didn't lash out in attack mode when someone said something negative about him. I say it was small because I wasn't jealous of Babs or anything. When the show was canned when I was 5 or 6, and it hardly had re-runs, I got over him.

Funny you mention Tiny Toons cause I had a BIG crush on Fifi Lefume (I think her last name is that). Anyway the odd thing is, the crush formed more when I saw her on the show when i was older.

As a kid, I enjoyed Tiny Toons for what it was and never found an attraction deep enough for anyone on that show. Until more recently and I got hooked om Fifi fever .

You're, like, one on of the few males I talk to on the 'Net to have a crush on a female skunk cartoon character. :P

For some reason I think you'll like Stella from Over The Hedge. She is very spunky, but she doesn't act like Fifi at all.

tehpancakezeatuh 09-16-2006 08:44 AM

Numbuh 1 from Codename: Kids Next Door and Cosmo from Fairly OddParents. The second one is not exactly a crush. More like... fangirlism XP

I've always liked skunk toon characters, I don't know. And incidently I actually did see Over the Hegde (loved it!) and I did enjoy Stella's character very much.

I didn't find the same type of attraction like I did when I saw Fifi in Tiny Toons, but I have to admit she looked pretty cute after they gave her that makeover.

Nyo 09-16-2006 04:40 PM

Yeah, she did...

...maybe you'll fall for her like Tiger did (Just kidding). But that's just me. :P

Not true. :p I used to have this HUGE crush on Mewtwo back when the movie came out.

Mr. Marshmallow 09-16-2006 09:45 PM

Mewtwo? :o That's definitely one I wasn't expecting. Mewtwo wasn't exactly the friendliest Pokemon in his movies, espeically his first one.

I mean he KILLED people! But, I'm not bashing your tastes. I myself never found any of the countless zillions of Pokemon to be crush worthy.

Now Misty the trainer from Pokemon, she is WAY high crush material.

Tonya 09-17-2006 05:09 PM

Can I ask just one question? I'm really not trying to re-hash anything that has to do with that Monsters Inc fight in those other posts back there. But anyway here's my question,
pitbulllady, is a part of you liking Randall have anything to do with him being a reptile? It's obvious that you love reptiles and things likes that but if Randall wasin't a reptile, would you have liked him as much?

ps. I also think Randall is kinda attractive. It's weird, I dunno why but I do. It's not exactly a "crush", but more like, I think he's kinda attractive for a lizard.

Most of my animated interests are never the "friendliest". :p I personally think he's the most misunderstood character, bar none. Here in America, Mewtwo's story (and character) was morphed beyond recognition and that probably gave way for people to gain misconceptions about his motives. You have to understand where he's coming from first before making up your mind about him.

Medikor 09-18-2006 09:40 AM

Franke is my #1 pick. But I also have a thing for Sango from Inuyasha. And I just love Hinata from Naruto, she's so cute and I love her to pieces! I don't have a crush on her, (she's only a kid after all) But I would love to have her as a daughter!:D

The movie is what I based my opinions on considering since that is the only media depictation of Mewtwo that allows you to see more of who he is. And regardless of dubbing or changed dialouge, Mewtwo's actions remained the same.

Mewtwo's background isn't exactly any different then most "created" type characters. Frankenstein, Johnny 5 (Short Circuit), Edward Scissorhands. They're all in the same boat and being a total movie and TV freak, I got a pretty good handle on where he is coming from.

Exactly. Mewtwo (or Pokemon as a whole, for that matter) isn't quite the same here as it is overseas. If you've never seen anything but the dubbed version of that movie and nothing else at all, I reeeeeally suggest you don't stick like glue to that opinion. How do you know his motives remained the same? I know for a fact that the horrible translation (100% intentional)changed the whole story. But, whatever. *I* certainly am not even going to try (or hope) to get you to change your mind.

I once tried to use the word "cute" on Randall. You know, as in "cute" guy? It didn't work. I think Randall is several words above "cute". :3

Medikor 09-18-2006 04:43 PM

Well... if it's okay to include non-human characters in this (ala Randel) then I guess that I can admit that I always had a thing for Freya (Final Fantasy IX) and Krystal. (Starfox):D

Mr. Marshmallow 09-18-2006 04:52 PM

2 things:

1. I agree Krystal from Star Fox is a full blown furry hottie 8-).

And 2. Regardless of any dialouge based translation, unless those humans in the lab center admitted to some sort of wicked, heartless, barbaric act or crime in their brief stint of coversation with Mewtwo, his actions will never be excused.

I also saw absolutely nothing wrong with the dubbed version of Mewtwo's movie, or any of the other Pokemon films. I have also seen at least half of the first movie through clips and brief moments in japanese dialouge.

And like I said before, I never have any beefs with dubbing and words or no words, actions speak louder then words. My main thing is revolved towards Mewtwo's killing the scientists that created him. I'm not saying he didn't become good.

But what he did was not something I can ignore.

Nyo 09-19-2006 11:18 AM

Mewtwo? That's...odd.

Tonya 09-21-2006 06:06 PM

Think that's odd? I had the hots for The Grinch once! (Jim Carey's version).

Matchsticks 09-21-2006 07:04 PM

Time for me to throw in my Cartoon Crushes.

Owen Burnett from Gargoyles: He is what I look for in a man, dependable, has a good job, logical, kinda mysterious, respectful and once you learn his story it is all like,"OMGWTFBBQ! I shoulda noticed it sooner!"
Spoiler Below
Also, because he is Puck you know he has to know how to PAR-TAY!

My other crush is Izumi Curtis from FMA: She is what I look for in a woman. She is loyal and full of love, she will help those she cares about and trys to fix her mistakes. But, if you get her angry there is usually a reason why (that makes sense!) and she will knock some sense into whoever made her angry.

Erm, I just felt that I had to say this. I like Cyborg. From Teen Titans. So much that I feel like I'm cheating on Wilt. o.O Somehow.

Eh don't feel bad, crushes are crushes, you can't help which animated hottie you fall in love with. Even if it's more then one.

Teen titans is a great place to find toon crushes. Starfire my number one Titan hottie from that show :bloosmirk: and so is that cutie Jinx.

Yes, YES! Totally him... I have a lot of cartoon/video game crushes. They make me feel weird talking about them because there are so many!

Spoiler Below
Wilt (of course), Sesshomaru (Inuyasha), Miroku (Inuyasha), Swisgaar Skwigelf (Metalocalypse), Dante (Devil May Cry), Vergil (Devil May Cry), Leon (Resident Evil 4), Vincent Valentine (Final Fantasy), Cid (Final Fantasy), Vash the Stampede (Trigun), Alucard (Hellsing), Link (Legend of Zelda), and jeez... many more. I know Cid is older but so is Johnny Depp, and HE'S still sexy. Why can't Cid be?

If I were a cartoon, I'd probably end up being the weird girl that all of these characters found annoying and I'd end up with a drunken fat guy, though. :( My luck.

Voxxyn 10-21-2006 10:54 PM

Since we're now mentioning video game characters and since Link has been mentioned twice in a row, I'd like to cite the fictional woman that for a long time, before Frankie, was my undisputed #1 crush: Samus Aran from the Metroid games.

The aura of mystery and uniqueness(at least when compared to the typical videogame heroine) is what makes her great. That, and she's FREAKING HOT in the "under 2/3 hours" endings for the 2D Metroids. I still adore her very much.

Mr. Marshmallow 10-21-2006 11:27 PM

Video game hotties are just as good in my book as anime or animated females. Though personally, there haven't been as many game girl crushes for me as there have been for TV. Only one comes to mind and it's from a recent game.

Krystal from the Star Fox Adventures/Assault games. She is one foxy fox and I think she's down right goregous. Very mysterious and very "diamond" like with her fur color scheme and the whole secret tribal girl thing she's got going on.

Only other possible one would be Rouge the Bat from the Sonic adventure games. Other then her nausieating ego problem, she's one hot bat.

Medikor 10-22-2006 07:17 AM

Have you seen Zero suit Samus in Smash Bros Brawl? I think you'll like it.;) The Fire Emblem series is chock full of lovelies to crush on. The Pegasus riders are always crush worthy.

*flinches at the mention of Jinx* I'm still recovering from 'Deception'. And 'Cyborg the Barbarian'. And '257-494'. And all the episodes with BumbleBee. DX

Invader Bloo 10-22-2006 03:49 PM

I've never had any, but there are some that are sort of hot.

Like Coco! ;)

Cyborg hasn't had the best episodes, but if your looking for a good one with Jinx, or if your just wondering how I did get a crush on her.

Check out the episode "Lightspeed", one of the best episodes in the whole series if you ask me. Kid Flash was kick ass and it's thanks to him and this episode Jinx landed into my cartoon crush patch.

'Lightspeed' was one of the first episodes I saw all of. It was pretty good. ^^ Kid Flash was preeetty smooth. :bloogrin

Actually, Jinx is cool, but I was referring to 'Deception' because she had a crush on Cy in that one. *twitch* I get pretty jealous and protective of the guys I like...

For a cartoon!?!? She outclasses everything in Hollywood! Er, that's not all that hard to do, actually... Let me go think about this.

(Goes to corner of room to think) ;) :)
