I don't know if I may get 3-D glasses for this episode. I can try to watch it without 3-D glasses, but I don't know if it would be visible or not.

Bloonan 10-10-2007 05:04 PM

Well, I might make my own, if I find out where to buy those Mylar plastics... Either way, the ep looks good!

Little Baby IceCream 10-10-2007 05:21 PM

I'm going to attemp to watch the episode without the glasses. I've already tried a 3-D page and the CheeseQuest game and could see it all fine. Too bad I didn't keep an old Nickelodian magazine that had the 3-D glasses! I could have really used them right now!

Actually, the Fosters season 1 DVD in Canada has a PG rating slapped on the back of the package. Maybe the Halloween themed episode was considered potentially scary for the much younger fans of the show.

Cell_Phone_guy 10-10-2007 06:49 PM

I work in the Stationary department at Wal-Mart which covers the two sections mentioned and I can say I've never seen any 3-D glasses kits for sale there. I don't know if this is the case for Wal-Marts down in the U.S. though.

Also, I would have though that the shadowy figure with the odd shaped head would have been Cheese. I wouldn't be surprised if Cheese makes an appearance in the episode. :cheese:

2 things:

1. The PG rating could be covering the entire night of Fried Dynamite, after all, those Goosebumps specials have PG ratings.

2. I'm most likely not going to have the glasses by Friday. Do you think that if I tape it with my VCR, the 3-D coding will still remain?

Lynnie 10-11-2007 08:35 PM

*sigh*

Can't find 3D glasses ANYWHERE, for the LIFE OF ME!!! I don't know what was meant by the new issue of TIME for Kids, because no such thing seems to exist. In a last resort, I went to Target today, to search in the stationary/party section,. Nope. Looked in the VG section. Nope. Asked a clerk and was directed to the reading glasses.... Uh, I don't think 3D glasses would be in with the reading glasses... ::) At least the girl was trying to help, though. But obviously, nope. Looked in the games section (SceneIt type DVD games), nope. Looked in the toys. Found 3D viewfinders, more novelty glasses, but nope. Looked in the craft section for some kind of kit or at least red and blue plastic film, nope. Looked for the tenth time in the DVD section, trying to read every cover and spine in the entire store for anything that is in 3D and comes with glasses. All I found was a 3D version of "Night of the Living Dead" for $19.99, and it came with four pairs of glasses. I've never been a fan of horror, just not my taste, so ugh (no offense to horror fans). But FINE! I bought it. Took two pairs of glasses out of it, and think I'll send the DVD and the other two pairs to my brother since he likes horror flicks and knows as well as anyone else how cool 3D is. At least I have glasses now, and another pair to spare (or share). Ha, I just rhymed, and didn't mean to...

Anyway, thus ends the story of my search for the Holy Grail..er, 3D glasses.

Tried them on as soon as I took them out of the case and I forgot how cool these glasses are. I could barely see my digital clock (red LED), everything seemed to flash when I moved my head... Pretty cool. ;) And now I officially can look forward to seeing this episode!

One Radical Dude 10-11-2007 11:09 PM

It looks like I'll watch the episode without them. Then again, the 3D effects may not really be all that great, anyway.

Cassini90125 10-11-2007 11:59 PM

I doubt they'll be all that great, too; I still think the whole 3-D thing is mostly for publicity. Worth a look, sure, but in the end I doubt it'll be particularly memorable.

Those of you without glasses might want to try your local Walgreens or it's equivalent. They're giving the glasses away for "Regis & Kelly"; mine had over 200 pairs left this afternoon.

antgirl1 10-12-2007 06:07 AM

Good or bad 3D, it can't spoil an episode entirely. I'm still looking forward to it, even if the 3D is said to be a bit crappy. :D

fosters-fan 10-12-2007 10:33 AM

(gets out a megaphone, and speaks into it) Attention, all Foster's fans! Attention, all Foster's fans! The newest episode of Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, entitled 'Nightmare on Wilson Way', will be airing tonight at 7:30, 6:30 central on Cartoon Network! Thank you, and have a good weekend! ;)

bloonuggets 10-12-2007 03:26 PM

By the way, there will be 2-D repeats of this episode October 24 @ 6:30 PM, October 26 @ 7:30 PM and 10:30 PM and October 31 TBA ET/PT. So if if you don't have the 3-D stuff, these will be for you.

The Huntsman 10-12-2007 03:59 PM

Was Jackie Khones dressed as a pimp?

bloonuggets 10-12-2007 04:02 PM

Yes, and those CN morons put the end credits gag in the lower right hand corner without the audio with Mac waking up and finding Wilt's fake arm.

Cassini90125 10-12-2007 04:03 PM

The 3-D effects were worthless but it was otherwise a pretty good episode. And I thought Frankie looked so dang cute in her costume.

emperor26 10-12-2007 04:04 PM

Even without the 3-D glasses, this episode was still good.

Speaking of which, "Nightmare on Wilson Way" was much better than last week, as well as funny.

Overall, a 10 out of 10 for me.

The Huntsman 10-12-2007 04:04 PM

This was a great episode, at any rate. Plenty of cultural references, from Powerpuff Girls to Huckleberry Hound; I’m sure there are a ton more that I didn’t notice. Mabel Licorice’s black cat costume was cute as well, and even though she’s only a background character, I like seeing her. I don’t really have much else to say, as I stopped reviewing episodes, but I really liked this one.

Invader Bloo 10-12-2007 04:07 PM

Good episode! The part when Bloo said "Forget him, he's gone!" made me laugh too hard.

antgirl1 10-12-2007 04:14 PM

Meh, the 3D was terrible. So terrible, that you can't even see the 3D lines. XDDD

But jeez, this episode alone was awesome. :D

I really liked how the return of the Werewolf costume was used, and a lamp soon fell on Wilt's head. After which, Frankie trips over him. And then, Madame Foster trips over not Frankie and Wilt, but the lamp. XDDD

"AAAHH, MY ARM!!"

*silence**kids nudge candy bags towards Wilt, obviously unamused*

"...*muttering*Fine, here's your candy."

Either the kids knew the arm was fake, or they didn't get the hint. Silly Wilt, trying to scare kids with a false arm. Wilt looked so funny when he seemed to pout. XD

I just loved how Wilt didn't believe Bloo about the zombies until he saw them behind Bloo and Eduardo. Even then, poor guy was DRAGGED out of the house to become one of them...(I don't care if it was acting, it looked so real to me until the end) XD

Yay Sugar Mac returns again! Plus the end of episode gag had me rolling with laughter, even if I couldn't hear anything from it, and the screen for it was so small...I could read Mac's lips, he's like "Oh no. OH NO!!", until Wilt appears to retrieve that false arm Mac had been holding, only to have Mac faint. 8D

....For some reason, I somehow KNEW Herriman wasn't even dead, even at the scene of his "dying".

So yeah, without the 3D glasses, the screen basically is a LOT brighter than normal. The 3D stuff will not be that much in the way, you can hardly see the 3D lines.

Xroc88 10-12-2007 04:15 PM

Loved the poltergeist reference: Don't Go into The Light!!!

pitbulllady 10-12-2007 04:19 PM

Wow, Mr. Bachman hath redeemed himself with this one!

Even though I couldn't score any 3-D glasses, the episode was still great-really funny! Bloo had it coming to him, now didn't he?
Spoiler Below
Somehow though, I knew that at some point, there was gonna be the devil to pay, in form of a certain sugar-crazed 8-year-old! I thought it was pretty darn neat, the idea of actually having to tie poor Mac down to a bed to keep him from getting ahold of Halloween candy.

I loved everyone's costumes, although between Pimp Daddy Jackson Khones(now HOW many "kiddie shows" have a character dressing like a pimp, hmmmmm?) and Vampire LeWilt, I can't choose! And poor Ed, somehow didn't we all figure he'd be a wreck by the time the first trick-or-treater rang the doorbell?

I'm still laughing at the great Weekend At Bernie's references, and Wilt's little fake arm trick-now who KNEW the Wilt-Man had such a wonderfully SICK sense of humor? I LOVE it, especially when it finally worked on those two little kids and they ran off screaming, and that delightfully devilish grin just spread across his face; for some reason, I could easily imagine him saying, "Well, whatya know? It scares little kids, AND little monsters!"

My only complaint-and clearly I'm not the only one who feels that way, was that they only showed the end credits down in a teeny, tiny little box in the bottom right corner, with NO SOUND, so we couldn't hear what was being said between poor Mac(coming to after a massive sugar high/binge/trip)and Wilt, who was clearly still in his trickster mode. Hopefully, they'll show the end credits properly with the 2-D reshow.

After my disappointment with the last episode, this was sure great, giving me back my hope for the rest of Season Five!

One Radical Dude 10-12-2007 04:23 PM

Now, THAT was a Halloween episode. :P I really thought that this was a well-done episode, and the costumes were great. I was among those that lacked the 3D glasses, but from what I've read, they're not really worth wearing. Sugar-crazy Mac (third time he's been sugar-crazy) was used really appropriately here, and that was one of the high points in the episode, in my opinion. 8D I knew Herriman was not dead, but that was a great way to get back at Bloo for last Halloween's prank. Overall, this is a step up from last week's episode. :smed:

A big thumbs down for the network for not allowing us to really see and hear the ending credits. :edmad: Malo, CN, malo. :nono:

I wonder if there'll be a crazed Mac emotion. 8D

CN really, really needs to stop messing with the end credits. That, and tone down the dang splash ads. >:(

Nem 10-12-2007 05:04 PM

I enjoyed this episode, especially Bloo's part, where he said something like "Herriman is dead? YES!!!!"

That made me laugh :] I didn't get any 3-D glasses, but my TV guide says the episode is on again tonight, so I'll watch it with the 3-D glasses I got after the first showing, because Cassini90125 mentioned Walgreens, so I ran off to grab some, and they had a ton, thanks for mentioning that =D

So yea, I enjoyed this episode, poor Ed though, even as a fake zombie he's still afraid of things XD

One Radical Dude 10-12-2007 05:16 PM

I went to Walgreens, but I was unable to locate the 3D glasses, but then again, I didn't stay over there long. Where in the store would they be found? :terrconf:

Oh No Bloo 10-12-2007 05:20 PM

Loved the episode! Especially all the awesome costumes. For those who didn't have 3D glasses, you didn't really miss out. I had them, 3D doesn't work very well. It just hurts your eyes.

I found them in the photo department :] They were just sitting there on the main desk table, so I swiped a pair and ran off XD

Yep, mine has them at the photo counter, too, next to the cash register. Quite a lot of them, too.

I tossed mine after the first few minutes and didn't miss them in the slightest. As I've said, this was nothing more than a publicity stunt. Now, if CN really wants some publicity, they should try running an episode without a single splash ad or commercial of any sort. Now that would get some attention!

One Radical Dude 10-12-2007 05:45 PM

I didn't even bother to look there. :P Maybe, I'll try tomorrow before going to work. I want to witness it myself.

Yeah, those stupid corn dog ads took up half of the screen! Plus, the end credits screen was so small you couldn't even tell what was going on because of goosebumps... Gr..

Little Baby IceCream 10-12-2007 06:23 PM

I liked this episode. It gave me a good laugh! Even though I didn't have 3-D glasses, it was good (IMO the 3-D wasn't that good). I loved Frankie's Blossom costume! Reminds me when I used to watch PPG! Another great episode!

Go Red Sox!

Bloonan 10-12-2007 06:52 PM

Yeah, it was really good. I really liked the return of sugar Mac. My question is, how did they go from regular face to so pale in such quick notice?

Also, I recorded it on my VCR, just to preserve the 3-Dness. They may not be that good, but they sure look interesting! However, it seemed to work when I looked through the plastic cap of my deoderant stick...

vinny 10-12-2007 06:52 PM

oh man that ep was good. top 10 on my list for sure

Mr. Marshmallow 10-12-2007 06:59 PM

Okay, I didn't see the first screening of the episode so I just got finished watching the later, second airing of it. And I am sorry if the fact I didn't comb through all 8 comment pages before posting this but, I REALLY liked this episode. So far nearly all of the new episodes has kicked infinite amounts of ass!

Fosters really made a marvelous Halloween episode with this one. I kind of already figured out the "Halloween trick" they were planning, to be honest it wasn't that hard to figure out especially since Bloo and everyone was heavily emphasizing the canned snake gag. But that didn't make it less enjoyable.

I didn't even know about the 3-d thing and from what I saw, I doubt it would have made a lot of difference. It got annoying seeing the color scheme screwed up because of the 3-d thing at times but I still loved the episode. Ed had some hilarious moments, the flash light scene, the crazy Spanish speech part, and of course "He can't be THAT dumb".

8D superb stuff and being a Frankie fan, I knew a Powerpuff reference was gonna show up here and I'll be damned if Frankie didn't look snazzy in her Blossom outfit, I nearly laughed to death seeing her in that wig and the bow. The zombie appearances were very cool looking and course, MAC RULES!!

His sugar rages have become an excellent addition to the shows development he's hilarious going psycho and screaming like a crack addict. Loved Bloo's "Zombie fighters DANANAANAN" reference. Overall a great episode, this season has totally wowed me this fall and I'm glad the quality is at its peak.

Crash-N-Cortex 10-12-2007 07:00 PM

The episode is great! Mac being in sugar rush was insane! I like the zombie fight scene. It was funny to see Herriman "dead" when Bloo pranked him. It was a cool Halloween special.

cartman414 10-12-2007 07:06 PM

Cheering at the prospect of a dead Herriman, Bloo? That's just low.

About time Eduardo went into Spanish ranting frenzy mode.

Mr. Marshmallow 10-12-2007 07:08 PM

By the way, what was started with the word "kill" in "Affair weather friends" we have now progressed to a full blown acknowledgment of DEATH and dead, even a corpse (sort of.

Ever since I heard Ben 10 say the word dead in its big movie, I was hoping more and more toons would start accepting death, dead, kill, and other REAL words that toons have pathetically avoided all these years.

Fosters, thanks for accepting reality in your show by having Herriman "die".

Thanks! Hopefully I'll remember to get it.

When Mr H first had his "heart attack" I thought, oh he's playing a prank, good on him. But as the ep wore on, I still wanted it to be a prank but it sure seemed less plausible. And at the end, when it all WAS a prank, it just made it all the more cartoony. ;) Good ep. Mr H was beyond awesome in this one. :herriman:

My favorite background costume was Huckleberry Hound.

This wasn't a background costume really, but it was my favorite: Madame Foster dressing as Yoda during the canned snake flashback she had after tripping over Frankie and Mr. Herriman.

Which reminds me, what was Frankie dressed as during that flashback? A Punker or something? I couldn't tell.
