Well, if one goes through the right site, one may be able to squeak by the block. Trust me-- I've watched kids used a proxy to check their MySpace page and not get caught.

Oh wow. We at Never Forgotten are officially a menace to the education system. That's very gratifying to know.

Well, I'm on right now, thanks to a PM with a link to a proxy server, heehee. Don't know how long, though, before I get caught, but if they want to argue the point, I think I can defend myself AND NF in that it's NOT a "gaming" site, nor is it detrimental to kids.

Hurrah! Glad my idea worked! Now I know watching The Lab with Leo on G4 so much was worth it XD

Well, my victory was short-lived...now the proxy server I was able to use to access this site is blocked for being "Unknown":jk: It's totally stupid; I honestly don't know why the district bothers to have the internet at all, other than to show off for the visitors from the state's Dept. of Education that they have computers and technology in use in the classroom.

Well, in the words of Nicholas Cage in The Ant Bully, Craznocks. (I'm weird like that. Consider stratching out "Craznocks" and substituting "Crud" if need be...) Guess it's a matter of taking what victories come our way...

I tend to wonder why school's have the 'Net at all, too-- I recently discovered that DA got blocked for "games." :wiltshock: Huh?

Maybe they misinterpreted the donation part of the site as a function to wager money online. All I can suggest is to use your own online devise, like a laptop, to go around the locks. But I'm not too knowledgeable about how those locks would work, say, if you used their hot spot or something.

If you use the district's WiFi, you are subject to THEIR rules, which means that all of the blocks in place on the PC computers will be in effect on the laptops. I know teachers who have thought they could get around that by bringing their laptops, only to find out that it didn't work. Cell phones are strictly prohibited; if you're caught with one, the administrators can take it and you will be written up, whether you're a student OR a teacher. Yeah, it's THAT bad, folks.

Why would you access the site at work anyway? >:(
