You left out "brainless". 8D

Yeah, it's a pleasure to see this brat (and that's all she is) find out that she's not above the law and can't buy her way out of everything. :bendy:

One Radical Dude 06-10-2007 07:15 PM

Personally, I don't bother paying attention to the whole Paris Hilton deal. Yeah, she's a brat, but I could care less about hearing news reports of Hilton on the news. Who cares about Paris Hilton? I don't, but a lot of people seem to want to hear about her, especially the media. :P

kageri 06-10-2007 07:54 PM

Though Paris Hilton hasn't done anything that seriously impacts my life and in fact doesn't do much of anything at all besides wearing pink, getting attention for no reason and being stupid in a general sense... the judge who ordered her back to court? I love him. Even if she's really only going to serve 23 days thanks to the whole "good behavior" deal.

Cassini90125 06-12-2007 09:13 AM

The down side to all this is she'll probably get a book deal out of it and tell us all about how she was "wronged by the system" but nonetheless found jail to be a "transforming" experience. Yeah, okay. :P

The fire alarm went off here a little over 90 minutes ago. Turns out that our maintainance chief set it off by firing bug spray at a wasp that was just inches away from a smoke detector. Brilliant. This is the same dullard who gave me the runaround about my air conditioner. The surprising thing is that he was apparently working at the time. I don't know whether to laugh or scream. ::)

montitech 06-12-2007 09:25 AM

I find anyone talking about Paris (no offence to the French) ticks me off. It really is astonishing that this trash dominates our american News. I mean both her and Anna got more air time seperatly. than the recent death of Presedent Ford, or the Humanity merits of Jimmy Cater (over the past 20 years).

American News Media is just plain TRASH. It may have always been that way, but it really ticks me off.......... (well at least we have Cspan2 and Books on TV)

Monty :-/

scary_dream 06-12-2007 12:46 PM

While I do agree, it IS frustrating, you have to look at it from the media's point of view. What draws in the ratings best? The death of President Ford, or Anna Nicole's baby's mystery dad?

It's extremely sad that it brings in more ratings, but it's not all the media's fault. The money has to come from somewhere, and if viewers are asking for trash on TV, then by golly, that's what they're going to get, because the media definetely isn't stupid.

I agree with you, However when I was growing up, we were always taught in school to respect the News as a reliable source of informaiton. and I ould notmind if the trash was kept to the media and entertainment shows, There used to be specific shows about this like "A current Affair" but now it seems like the less relevent news is dominating the regular news. as you said for Ratings. It would be nice if the news held more firm to reporting the facts and informing the people as opposed to racing for viewers.

I hate over protective parents

I can't say I can relate, since my parents are pretty laid bac (mostly my Mum, though. My Dad still isn't very keen on me walking home over the old rail way, but I'm allowed to walk it since it IS faster than by the main road).

There are a LOT of things that tick me off, being a VERY irritable person, but I'd have to say the things that bug me the most are:

This kid in my Class who is just a complete d**khead, and is constantly playing up, he's just SO annoying. He thinks he is absolutely hilarious, when he's been pulling the same wise cracks for over three years (you say something like 'That's weird' to someone when he isn't even part of the conversation and then he'll say 'Like you're face'.) It bugs me completely out of my brains, I'm surprised no one and has pucnhed him in the face yet.

The other thing that bugs me, is when my sister and my Dad get into an argument about something. My sister goes off in a mood, and my Dad just sits there and glares after her, and I just feel SO uncomfortable with him, so I go upstairs, and my sister starts complainging about how annoying he is, which just pouts me in a worse mood. It's MY Dad she's talking about (she's my half sister so we have different Dads), you know, and it really annoys me, even if she HAS been his step daughter since she was about... Three.

One Radical Dude 06-20-2007 11:29 AM

When my father and I start a shouting match, but it's always he that starts it. It happened briefly this week, when the issue of me possibly leaving my job was brought up. What's worse is that my mother, more often than not, defends dad.

Partymember 06-20-2007 11:36 AM

my parents piss me off.

Its summer.

I'll be 18 on July 7th.

Why do i have a curfew? Why, i ask you?

(anger)

Sparky 06-20-2007 12:19 PM

Oh here's one I've been meaning to bring up for a while.

Close-ups, with amplified sound, of people eating, on television commercials (meaning that you have to watch it several times in one program).

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWW. :P

(I'm totally looking at you, Carl's Jr. The new ad of the scruffy guy on vacation eating dripping fruit, barely avoiding a direct buffalo shot, deserves special mention.)

antgirl1 06-20-2007 08:48 PM

It's almost like when you become a teenager, you have to choose a side in high school. For girls around here, it's either a girly-girl (to put it mildly) or an emo. I don't want to be either, but that's really not a choice right now, huh? I won't choose any of them because, they equally p*** me off. But Girly girls tick me off more than anything. Even GRAVITY can't top it.

I was in the ladie's room once at school, and all of a sudden, I rushed into a stall, and peeked through the crack. I saw at least 8 girls walk straight in. And where did they go? DIRECTLY TO THE NEAREST MIRROR, to check their hair and/or makeup. What the H*** is up with that? =|

This happens at my school every once in a while. I usually see all the girls in my class acting really girly or something like that, but I'm not completely sure if that's what they're trying to be like... and I'm in my own sort of fashion... so I never act like them. It just scares me, though...

Another something that ticks me off: People who chew their food with their mouth open tend to make me get really annoyed. Two family members told me that I need to get used to it. I try... but it doesn't do too well. I'm still trying to think of a solution to not hear anyone chew... and I usually go into my room... but, sometimes, my cousin follows me there... and she tends to eat something once in a while. I'm glad she doesn't do that all the time.

Aaaaah, I hate that! Or how about when the girls put all their books and their purse in the sink? I'm like, uh, yeah, I need to wash my hands because I don't want to walk out of here with urine on my hands?:P I just turn the faucet on anyway::)

And about the "girly girl" or "emo" thing...I know what you mean. But don't be afraid to be different and be neither. That's what I did for all four years of high school:) Being a walking stereotype is so lame8-)

Either you need a better pop-up blocker, or you have lots of adware/spyware that needs to be cleared up. I don't get any pop-ups on MySpace.

I'm reviving this thread to post about something that ticks me off. Actually, it just kind of baffles me.

I just saw another one of those accursed "KidzBop" commercials, and crop circles and the Loch Ness monster have nothing on how mystifying these CDs are to me. I mean, just.... why?! What is the point of dubbing over perfectly good songs with the crackling, chirping voices of prepubescent children? If I like the song, I'll listen to the original version, and if I don't, hearing scores of little kids singing lyrics that are not always kid-friendly and that they probably don't understand isn't going to make it more appealing to me. Why do these CDs exist, and who buys them? I DO NOT UNDERSTAND.

i second that. theres, like, a million of them. and most people will never enjoy that kind of stuff.

Sparky 06-29-2007 12:11 PM

Yeah I know when once I bought a CD of 80's music and didn't notice that it was a cover band doing them all, I was royally pissed. It's *awful* and I couldn't even listen to it though I gave it a chance. :P Pop music isn't like classical, not just anyone can perform a song, even if they're talented. If you're going to do a remake of a song that's one thing because then at least you're putting your own spin on it, but a straight-up cover...I dunno, I just hate covers in general. And oh yeah, lets have a bunch of KIDS do it...brilliant. :jk: But I dunno, maybe those things really do sell well.

Cassini90125 06-29-2007 12:13 PM

Oh, man, I HATE those dang things! Thank the stars my remote has a mute button; I use it everytime one of those commercials runs. I'd rather watch ads for Head-On. Why would anyone buy these things when the original music and singers are better? They're a total waste of time and money. :P

montitech 06-29-2007 04:02 PM

Personally I am always wondering if they are breaking copyright laws. Did they ask for pemission??? proboly not. I hate those commersials.

If Razor and Tie (the folks behind the series of Kidz Bop CDs) didn't ask for permission, however, I would imagine that there already would've been lawsuits over it. From what I've read, many of the volumes of Kidz Bop were certified Gold (sure it's not Platinum, but Gold can be enough to be considered successful for some albums).

some guy you dont know 07-04-2007 07:07 AM

ok heres another one.

i was playing a game of monopoly against this one guy over the internet, and i was having great luck. the most luck ive ever had at that game. he got mad and left, saying i was cheating or something. i really hate that. alot.

Mr. Marshmallow 07-04-2007 11:40 AM

Youtube ticks me off

They took down nearly ALL of the Fosters shorts people had put on there, including the Pizza short I put up and got yanked down as well.

This REALLY has me sprouting veins and it drives me up a freaking wall when they keep yanking down more and more favorite movies and shorts from that site.

Lynnie 07-07-2007 07:16 PM

I hate it when I'm out doing my power-walk and I pass a house where there's a dog who's not tied up, and it barks and barks at me and runs after me. I'm usually not afraid of being bitten, but it is so annoying and embarrassing when other neighbors see us. Especially when they think that it's MY dog, and ask "Why don't you have him on a leash?" Blah, blah, blah

I hate it when I'm driving on a two way street and there's a car in front of me going rrrrreeeeeeaaaaalllllll ssssslllllooooowwww and there's no way to pass them. It's worse of course when I'm in a hurry, but even when I'm not in a hurry I get sooo irritated. Come on people, the speed limit is 60 not 45!

I hate it when I watch and listen to my microwave popcorn very closely to be sure it doesn't burn, but it ends up burning anyway and filling my apartment with that awful burnt-popcorn smell, and it lingers for days. I feel like such a bloofus...er...doofus.

I hate it when I'm parked on a slight incline and my arms are full of groceries, and I can't keep the door open long enough for me to place the bags in secure positions on the passenger seat and/or floor because gravity keeps wanting to close it, so I try to prop it open with my foot or knee, but sometimes I have to move and I lose hold of the door and it slams shut on my leg, and nearly chops it off because it's a heavy door, and I yelp, and other shoppers in the parking lot look at me like I'm an alien from outer space, and then I have this big bruise on my leg for the next two weeks, and am forever more terrified of my car doors.

Those retarded billboards will fugly babies on them...HATE THEM!!! ::)

Cassini90125 08-04-2007 11:19 AM

My upstairs neighbors suck

And yet again I have been forced to call the police about the inconsiderate bastards who live above me and insist on making me listen to their horrid music. To top it off they've taken to watching movies at 1:30 in the frackin' morning and making sure I can hear them, too. I'm not normally a violent person but I really feel like smacking them, and smacking them hard. :terrence:

Lynnie 08-04-2007 11:36 PM

I have noisy neighbors upstairs too. I almost called the cops on them once because I could have sworn the guy was being abusive to his wife. There were not pretty noises coming from up there that night. It makes me very sad. :'(

To add to my list I posted a while back, today during a long strenuous hike I had to use the restroom, but held it until we got back to the parking lot where there was an "outhouse". I was so relieved to see it, but lo and behold, there was no paper. At all. Nothing, Nada. Ugh. Well, at least.....oh....nevermind.

It's also frustrating when you're at a friend/relative's house and you realize there's no paper until it's too late. In worse cases, I've had to yell through the closed door "Can you get some more toilet paper?", and then have them hand it to me through the smallest "crack" possible. It's annoying when people don't keep their eye on that, especially if they expect to have company over. And it's even more so when they don't store the extra in the bathroom. >:(

Just remind them, two squares per release. :herriman:

What ticks me off is people who wish death on others. I was at this other forum for another cartoon I like, and somebody basically wished death on Foster's crew... I was horribly upset, and it almost caused me to want to leave that forum. :(

kageri 08-05-2007 03:12 PM

Ricky Fieldmouse 08-05-2007 04:51 PM

I think my neighbor recently got a dog, because that's all I hear when I'm on the computer now. I mean, seriously, why can't you get a cat?

Ub3rD4n 08-07-2007 01:03 AM

Lots of people don't like cats since they don't really give you a whole lot of respect, and are impossible to control, and can even be a serious biohazard to native birds and lizards, depending on where you live. Still, you can't have a dog barking all day. Dogs require disipline. That guy ought to teach his dog some manners before it's too late.

Cassini90125 08-07-2007 06:46 AM

The jackasses upstairs woke me up this morning with their music. I have informed management that I am contemplating legal action. I have had enough of this crap; either I get some peace and quiet or I am going to ruin their lives. I can only take so much. :terrence:
