koosie: Wow, man...you're old. :P Hehe, no, I'm kidding; it would have been great to have been around in the Reds' glory years. I guess that's what made Istanbul '05 all the more special; I wasn't even born the previous time we won that cup, and I wasn't even sure I'd even live to see the day we won it again. Having that still in the memory helped cushion the blow of this match a little...I wouldn't say we "deserved" it as such, but I think we had the better of the possession and chances over 90 minutes. The only two chances they really had were gifted to them by our defensive lapses; problem was, they took both of them, something we've been having problems with all year. Here's hoping Mr Benitez can make something of the cash he'll be given to spend this summer...LFC for the Premiership in '08! :bloocross:
Partymember:You're probably right, there. :P China should really have taken a leaf out of Russia's book...now THERE was a country for no-nonsense names. Got a policy to naturalise ethnic minorities into Russian culture? Call it "Russification"! Want to deconstruct Stalin's personality cult? One program of "De-Stalinisation" coming right up! And my personal favourite: come up with a new economic policy? Well, say hello to the, uh, "New Economic Policy"! Clever, no? It's the government initiative equivalent of Snakes on a Plane. :D |
Danny Phantom - Memory Blank
Another new show I watched, and I'm glad I did. Very funny episode, not to mention the Fake Out Make Out! 8D |
Flight of the Conchords
New Zealand's fourth most popular folk parody duo have created one of the most hilarious shows I've ever seen. With such memorable tunes as the post-apocalyptic themed, The Humans Are Dead, or the forced machismo song, I'm Not Crying, these guys had my sides splitting. HBO begins airing the show on the 17th of June, but it's already made its rounds on the Internet. They also have a ton of stuff on YouTube. If you get a chance give them a watch and a listen. You'll be glad you did. |
Flight Of The Conchords had a radio show here too the year before last and it was very funny. It was mostly about their manager who was an amiable but delusional idiot. Some of the songs were very inventive.
Last TV show I watched was one of these bbc rockumentary things about Velvet Underground, Floyd, Bowie, Genesis etc. Some nice Syd Barrett and Peter Gabriel footage but they did insist on making their own little video bits that interrupted the footage in bursts lasting several seconds. Presumably to demonstrate what the program-makers thought the song was about. Next week it's about punk. I'm looking foward to the Manchester episode. |
Ah! MY Goddess
It's a wonderful, beautiful, and excellent anime series I have been longing to get for a long time now. I got the premium DVD box set of the series at Anime Central 2007, the local anime convention that I went to a couple weeks ago. The series has truly breathtaking art visuals and I love the romance in this show. At times it does feel it's becoming too Tenchi cliche style but I haven't felt this strongly about a romance since Gohan and Videl from Dragon Ball Z, or Misty and Ash from Pokemon. Not sure how many people enjoy anime on this board but this is a great series and a very touching one at that. I just finished the 4th disc and I've only got 2 left to go! |
Spaced
Before Shaun was among the Dead, and before the Fuzz was Hot, there was Spaced. Simon Pegg, Jessica Stevenson, and Edgar Wright put together this marvelously hilarious show that had me rolling everytime watched an episode. Now, I'm quite sure many people from the UK have heard of this show, and its spiritual predeccessor, Asylum. However, I don't know how many people elsewhere have given it a watch. Mixing sitcom with the right amount of homages and spoofs, this show can hardly be explained by words alone. So instead, I'll just give you the basic plot. Tim Bisley (Simon Pegg) and Daisy Steiner (Jessica Stevenson) find themselves without a flat and struggling to get by as the young adults of London. While checking the papers they come across an ad for a flat that only admits professional couples. The two newfound friends hatch a plan to act like such a couple to land the flat. That's as basic as you can get. The plot itself even seems trivial and boring, but once things get into motion and you meet the characters that populate Tim and Daisy's lives you're in for a laugh riot. I cannot stress this enough, anyone who likes sci-fi, comics, video games, and movies in general should see this show. This a show that is able to balance homage and story correctly. A feat few shows that attempt it can actually claim. This show has currently taken the title of my favorite sitcom. But this is yet another thing that AerostarMonk recommends, and if you haven't been disappointed so far, you certainly won't be now. |
Danny Phantom - Phantom Planet
I won't say much about this (unless it's already aired), except that fans will not be disappointed! |
uhhhhhhhh it's been a while, I guess Fosters. Or Tom and Jerry.:D
|
The Soup. The only show worth watching on the otherwise cheesy, shallow and über-tacky E! Entertainment Television.
|
Codename: Kids Next Door - Operation C.A.K.E.D - F.I.V.E
This show is starting to grow on me, since seeing Operation Z.E.R.O. (when I was in LA when it premiered. ^_^) |

My two favorites. I been watching Tom and Jerry for over thirty years and I sill cannot get enough of it. I even like those episodes that they outsoursed to Checkoslovakia (those were the episodes with the simple backrounds and the people mumbling) Monty :-/ |
Kim Possible: Mather and Fervent
Another BRILLIANT episode for this kick ass Disney series. This really was a great idea, having a purposely intentional stupid cliche villain use every lame catch phrase he could think of with his gimmick (a MATH villain ). I especially loved the ending though with Mr. Barkin and Ron Stoppable: "Mr. Stoppable, according to this report, you honestly expect me to believe your father is a super hero, volunteer fire fighter chef, an accountant, and can fire math related energy beams out of his skull?" "Yeah" "YOUR DAD ROCKS, A+" 8D |
Codename: Kids Next Door - Operation F.U.G.I.T.I.V.E.
Numbuh 362's debut, and 86 got what she deserved in the end!! 8D |
Foster's! Squeakerboxxx, if you wondered. Try pluralizing that title, heh.
Sadly, I didn't really laugh upon seeing that episode. It wasn't very good. |
spiral
great anime. basiclly a murder type show with a high school kid whos a great detective. and the blade children are cool too. espically eyes rutherford. it doesnt get much coverage in the US, but its really good. anyway, its an episode where kouske tries to kill the main character with his deathly alergy to bees. |
Invader Zim- Bad, Bad Rubber Piggy
Heh, one of my favorite episodes. I felt pretty sorry for poor Dib though. |
It was Foster's actually, episode: "My so called wife"
I didn't see this episode until much later on after it aired. No one really talked about it much so I didn't really find a strong sense or need to go and watch it. However I did see it and I have to say it was a very good episode. The plot was pretty over done with the "teach em class for this one hair brained scheme to make cash", but the whole segment with Mac and Frankie trying to teach Bloo sarcasim was genius. I mean really, it would be hard to actually explain it to someone when you think about it. The best part though was easily the fact the rich guy turned out to be a wacko and everyone got screwed and suckered by the guy. Oh, and Mr. Herriman buying jet cars is certainly something worth snickering at 8D. |
fosters- say it isnt sew
i gotta say one of my favorite episodes. pretty weird too. |
Law and Order: Identity
I can watch this show a hundred times and I still never get tired of watching TNT repeat hours of it on end. It's such a powerful show. The characters, the actors, the cases, it's such a great show. Most people think I'm weird being so young and liking such a long old running series but I love it and this episode was no exception in how bad ass this show really is. |
It's an excellent series, as are it's spin-offs. I haven't watched any of them in some time though. Which one was "Identity"? The name sounds familiar but I can't recall the plot.

It was an impressive scheme actually and especially a powerful episode, the actor who played the war vet was Benjamin something, playing a character named Lonnie Jackson. I hadn't seen this one before and I was amazed how good it was. Once again, the last show I just watched was Law and Order: Magnet. This time it was about a high school student killing another student after he wouldn't sell him test grades. |
Last show I watched was "Mystery Diagnosis", where people have symptoms of obscure diseases and nobody can figure out what it is and keeps giving them useless treatments until some smart doctor comes along and recognizes it immediately. It's interesting, but watching it has a way of making you think that your every sneeze and paper cut is actually the product of a brain tumor that has been steadily growing in your head for the last 10 years. Also, it's fairly gruesome, but everything on that channel is. I particularly like "Medical Incredible" just for the sheer train wreck factor.

fresh prince of bel-air
ok so its some halloween special, and the family gets hexed. espically funny to see carlton with dennis rodman hair 8D |
Teen Titans: "Mother May Eye"
Probably one of the WEIRDEST episodes of the show, unfortunately wasn't the good kind of weird. This episode had a great concept for a villain and some great moments with the Hive 5 villain kids. But ultimately it just was a very "dry" episode with constant zombie/motherly love stuff. Although the ending is probably one of the smartest ending they've ever had for a Teen Titans episode. This really is a great series . EDIT Btw, Teen Titans also happens to be the source of my signature quote. |
Y'know today I had one of those really tough days where everything that could go wrong did go wrong, so for some reason it gave me great comfort to sit back put my feet up and watch Chef Gordon Ramsey demoralize a group of wannabe chefs on that cooking reality show Hell's Kitchen.

20 to 1: Funny Films
I still don't understand how people could find Borat (#11) funny! Good to see Blazing Saddles (#18) and Airplane! (#2) make the list! |

Jag sie masz? Funniest movie ever. Hands down. |
Malcolm in the Middle
I love this show, it's so funny, and after many years, I've gotten attached to the characters. I always found Frankie Muniz cute, as in younger bro type cute. I like watching him. Isn't he getting married this summer sometime? I swear, kids grow up too fast... Anyway, it was the episode where Reese tries teaching Lois how to ride a bike, Malcolm and Dewey "dream" the perfect new mattress falls out of the sky just for them, and Hal refuses to pay for a dental checkup just because it was done by a friend. Soo funny! |
Kim Possible
The episode when they went and did a colonial/piratey field trip day. Reminded me of a Sabrina the Teenaged Witch Ep. when they had a colonial day, but noone was overly accused of being a witch. |
prison break!

Thank God You're Here: Season 3
Hamish Blake was hilarious again! He was a music student who found himself in trouble with the police! |
Power Rangers Generation: Zeo
Man talk about a flashback, it felt so good to be watching this show again. Classic Power Rangers man few shows inspired my childhood youth then that show. I ALWAYS made sure I taped it, anytime I could for 10 long years. Btw, Katherine Sutherland (Original Pink ranger replacement( is amazingly HOT! She was absolutely gorgeous and I can't believe I forgot how good this show is. |
Rock of Love with Bret Michaels. I just LOOOOVE wasting time watching those mindless VH1 reality shows. XD
|
Ben 10: Divided we stand
I was wondering when this show would pop up again. As always, Ben 10's newer episodes have continued to kick alien ass and prove this show is definitely one to keep an eye out for. They had some EXCELLENT new ideas here. The new alien, bringing back old baddie Dr. Animo and keeping his theme work "original" and fresh. The show has really improved since it's first seasons and I am SO looking forward to more. Awesome episode, very cool. |
Avatar: The Last Airbender - The Boy in the Iceberg
It's always good to start at the beginning. It was a great introduction to the show. It already displayed it's sense of humour, and showed great characters from the start. I'm thinking about getting the show on DVD (provided that the complete Book 1 comes out in Australia). But then again, I'll wait until after my birthday! |
scrubs- my way home
great episode, kinda filled with wizard of oz refrences too. |
Yay, Scrubs is great!
As for me, I don't quite remember what it was. It had something to do with a mansion filled with little monsters, but they're not actually monsters, they're... What are they exactly? Oh, that's right, they're imaginary friends. Oh hey, look! It's on right now! Wow, this is so good! I should really watch this more often! *sorry, I feel like being ":cheesegrin:y" today* *Ok, sorry again, that was just bad* :gooblab: |
Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends - Squeeze The Day
"It's hotttttt in topeeeekaaaa!" Absolutely hilarious! 8D |
The Fresh Prince of Bel Air.
It was the episode where Will's dad came back after abandoning him for 14 years. That scene at the end in my opinion is one of the greatest bits of acting that Mr.Smith has ever done in his entire career. |
^ Yay, Fresh Prince! The perfect flashback to the '90s... :D
