Just now the doorbell rang and I opened the door. An older lady greeted me, wiped her feet on the mat, and tried to enter the apartment. I had to block her and ask how I could help her. She was all "Isn't this Wilma's apartment?" "Um....no?" "Isn't this number 7?" *points to little plaque next to door, which has a three-digit number on it* "Oh sorry I wasn't paying attention!" *wanders away*

Aw, that's precious! Cute puppy too, what's its name? :) They both look quite comfy.

I've been "suffering" with dial up since August. And today, four months later, I have WiFi back!! Yaaayyy!!! I can watch videos again! Maybe even Sparky's live stream at some point. :bloosmirk: It has always cut out on me now and then, and it did for the first hour or so of me trying to connect to it. But it's been working great for the last few hours. I've forgotten how fast my computer can actually be! :D

There's been a lot of road construction at one end of the block our apartment is on, which is always annoying. But today I found out what (or part of what) they've been doing: we're getting lights. Traffic lights and crosswalk lights. We totally need those, it can be hard to get in and out of this street. So that's good. :) I hope they do the other end of this street too, I often jaywalk there to get to my doctor's office because otherwise you have to walk like 2 blocks extra to get to a crosswalk.

Got my $3K check and i am going to pay off the HOA from my old condo (which I have no more, but I have back dues), make this months mortgage a little early and book at Hojo's for ComiCon 2010!:bloogrin:

Not having to work for a week is a good thing. I left for Tennessee this morning by Greyhound, and I'm now visiting Rid at his new address. Nice place. :)

There's only one cartoon I like to watch on at 4:30, and it was an episode I've seen more than enough times already. :P So I thought I'd change the channel to CN to see if anything worth watching was on there, and Codename KND was on!!! :yeah: It must have been a year or something since I actually saw KND. And not only that, it was one of my favorite episodes- Operation L.I.C.E., due to a notorious and hilarious line Wally/Numbah 4 says. 8D I was sooooo happy!! And then I ended up sad because I miss that show so much. Along with Foster's of course. And Lazlo. And Billy and Mandy. Aw man.. But seeing KND today totally made my day! :up:

I am poor, as usual. Also my embroidery machine is in the shop (just to be cleaned etc) so I can't sell anything right now. Then a light was coming on on my car's dash so I had to take it in. I had no idea what it would cost me. Turns out it won't cost anything, there was a small malfunction somewhere and they fixed it in like a minute so its free.

Yay. ;D

I think coming back here and finding some old pals still around to welcome me back was what made my day yesterday.

Finishing the semester! Yeeeeaahhh!!

I was hit by a trojan tonight. No, that's not what made my day. :P Trust me.

It corrupted my AVG program to where it wouldn't run. I had to reinstall it. So I was vulnerable during the whole time I was doing that, ugh. And even after installing AVG 9 and the trojan was gone, it had messed up my registry to where I couldn't click on links or even change my desktop image. Everything else was frustrating to the point I was nearly in tears. But what really broke my heart is my desktop image was my little furry niece Jing Ling, whom I love so very much. And now my desktop image was just a boring blank white screen. I missed her so much! :cry:

And here's where my day was made. I remember having the same desktop problem a few years ago and it was a simple registry problem, which I fixed with little hassle. So I did a quick search, pinpointed my problem and fixed it. It fixed my links, too! And now I can look into the sweet face of Jing Ling on my computer screen again! Hooray!! :clap:

And with all the maintenance I did with my computer tonight, it's also running so smoothly and fast now, which also makes my day. :up:

Trojans are just the worst. I'm glad you managed to fix it all up. :)

Celebrating my Grandmother's 96th Birthday! We had it over at my aunt's house, and all of my Grandma's siblings and cousins from Arizona and California were with her. I have seen family I have not seen in awhile; or I was meeting some of them for the first time. Grandma gave so much of herself to everyone - and now she is getting all that LOVE back!:frankiesmile:

This old lady customer that has hated me for years (seriously, since I was about 16. I am 22 now.) came in today and I had to wait on her. She hates me for no reason, so anymore I just try to give her reasons that I KNOW tick her off. She left me a whole 15 cents 8D I win. I don't need her grumpy tip!

Walgreens has a bunch of my favorite cereals on sale for only $1.99 per box. I grabbed four boxes and a gallon of milk. Tomorrow I'm going back for more. ;D

A lot of times while geo caching we find junk in the cache. Either it's trash that someone who doesn't know how to play left, or the cache got wet and ruined most of what's inside. But today we found not one, but TWO great caches with decent stuff inside! I got a dollar bill out of one of them and traded it for a heavy steel bracelet. I got a little TY teddy bear out of another and traded it for another bracelet and a hair tie. It's always cool to find money inside! :)

I found a $5 bill once with a note attached saying "Coffee's on me." That was a great find, too. :)

So I'm a huge, huge fan of Lady Gaga. I go on GagaDaily.com everyday. Gaga's birthday was this past Sunday, and GagaDaily made a birthday video for her. Last night, she actually came on GGD to thank all of us and tell us how much it meant to her (and she confirmed it was really her on GGD by posting on her official Twitter "It's really me @ gagadaily xoxo"). What other celebrity would reach out to their fans like that? Oh, and she accepted my friend request, which made me squeal.:P

My neighbor makes periodic runs to the landfill outside of town in his little truck. He is retired, and has the time to do such things. I came home this past Monday from work - not only did he take my empty garbage can back up my driveway, but he dumped the rest of my palm fronds (another friend shaved my palm trees), which are huge and were many. It would have taken me another three weeks to cut them down to size and put them in both trash and recycling little by little. I went across the street to thank him and asked if he did not run into any rattle snakes under there! It is rattle snake season (they wake up from hibernation, and are on the move - and a little cranky):wiltshock:

Also, I heard Justin Timberlake is going to voice Boo-Boo in a Hollywood production of Yogi Bear!

This evening I discovered that the Subway in my area is open until midnight during the week, 1:00 AM on weekends. Given my fondness for their Veggie Delights grinder and the late hours I keep, this is a boon to my health. ;D

I also recently discovered that there's a new Asian supermarket in town, not unlike the one in my old neighborhood that I enjoyed so much. I plan on heading there tomorrow to check the place out. ;D
