Oh it gets worse, if his horse or uniform isn't quite up to scratch he has to stand up all day, totally still, guarding the queen & palace. If it's ok he can at least guard her majesty sitting on his horse. Must be boring for the horse having to stand there, though.

What goes on there, then? Like the agricultural shows here I suppose. Do you win prizes? So how long does it take to wash a horse. There was a guardsman on telly yesterday who spends hours every day doing it, poor sod.
