I'll be showing you guys how my pics go together. Just because I can.
Because I am so... dang lonely right now. I drew up this:

Obviously inspired by the commercial for Good Wilt Hunting when he's sat in his shared room by himself with the curtains drawn.
So up there is the simple stage. I've drawn the image with pencils, then inked over it before scanning it into my computer on my ole' trusty CanonScan DJ46U ex. *pats it* Good girl. The next step I take, is adjusting the brightness/contrast, to the lines are more darker and not so grainy.

With the lines more solid, I put to work the paint can icon and fill in the basic colours. For Wilt obviously it's red, white, blue, black, and pale yellows.

With the main colouring of his body done, I erase the 'white' of the background. Since I'm feeling finiky I'm taking my time and erasing around the outter black rather then select delete. This is a longer way then my normal proceedure. So far I been at this for 10 minutes.

Took me a good hour to erase all the white combined with the job of shading it all but on a seperate layer each time so not to disrupt the outlines. Wilt is now completed, but now I gotta draw the background on a seperate page and work him into it.
