Very, very nice. :) And you did a good job at it. I don't know if I'd have the patience to do the fancy carving like that, with just the scratching the skin off. You did Cheese last year, right? If I remember, you did a great job on that too.

Happy Halloween! :bloosmirk:
Eh, I still have NO idea what I'm doing tomorrow.

Yeah I did Cheese (http://www.fosters-home.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2702) last year.

We don't get trick or treaters here though so no one ever sees my pumpkins. Except online.

Awesome job, Sparky. As always, you put all of my jack o'lantern carving attempts to total shame. :smed:

So I just went to bring in the battery-operated light I had put in the Mac O'Lantern. Someone had put TRASH in it. -_- I honestly, truly don't understand people. It couldn't have been kids, because they probably also would have trick or treated, so it was likely an "adult".

Ugh, that is so rude. What's wrong with people these days? :frankiemad:

One year when I worked hard to paint a black cat on a pumpkin and set it outside, someone actually TOOK IT and took it to the dumpster...:(

I'm waiting for the day someone kicks in one of mine. A lot of the time the designs are intricate and the front wall of the pumpkin is kinda delicate.

I'm wondering if the person would have thrown napkins in there if it had been a candle instead of a battery thing. Maybe that's what they were hoping and they were disappointed there was no pretty fire.

It's a shame when people do stuff like that. :edmad:

That's disturbing. Yes, it most likely may have been an adult. I don't believe a kid would have done that. :madbloo:

Kids are as bad as adults. In any case I'd guess it was a teen.

Tsk, some people have no appreciation for fine art. >:( Well, it doesn't detract from the awesomness of your pumpkin, Sparky.

Plus if people are only going to vandalize our hard-worked jack-o-lanterns, it kinda defeats the purpose of having them outside...:(

I was just talking to someone last night how Halloween isn't the same as it was when we were growing up. There are no where near as many trick-or-treaters as there use to be 20 or even 10 years ago. Everyone seems to prefer to go to parties, or haunted houses or some other Halloween oriented activity than trick-or-treating. I think it's sad. I love seeing all the little costumes the kids wear. We had only three come to our door last night. :bloosad:

With less people out and about, there's less people to see the goings on around the neighborhood. And yet the spirit of the holiday itself is "tricks" I can't help but expect teens, and even young adults, are stalking around doing pranks of some sort or other. There seems to be more and more of it on Halloween night. I saw a group of "older kids" (maybe young teens) still going house to house at 11:30 last night. I took my jack-o-lantern inside just to spare it any harm doing. I don't trust greedy people still walking around the neighborhood at that time of night.

Hmmm.... I never leave my pumpkins out really late, because one year they all got smashed, and my brother and I had worked so hard on them. That still makes me mad.

Your Pumpkin is awesome by the way. It's the most adorable I saw this year.
