Yeah, he's already been slammed, let's just slam him some more...lol. Poor Craig. But I guess he knew what he was doing when he joined DA. ;)

Wanna bet he gets a lot of questionable requests? :P

Actually the first thing I thought of was certain persons spamming his comments section/notebox with detailed descriptions of movies/episodes they think should be made...I mean, there's a reason I don't give his email out to all the people who ask me for it (I don't know if its a public address or not, but hell if I'm giving it out, let people hunt it down themselves if its available).

I haven't seen any, yet, but it's still early. :P

I saw this earlier, and wow...he did it. Definitely worth checking out.

I knew it...someone had to spoil the party. :terrence: We have/had a troublemaker on Craig's DA page. You don't want to see what he posted (especially Frankie fans). :macwor: I filed a report on the troublemaker, so here's hoping he's outta there soon.

Well, that didn't take long now, did it? :frankiemad:

A slightly edited quote from one of DA's own members:

If you are Craig McCraken or whatever, I would advise you to run away from deviantART before you see the hordes of idiots. Before your eyes are scorched out of their sockets. Trust me, you'll get fed up with this crap soon.

I concur 1000%. Furthermore, as much as I would love to talk with the man, as much as I'd like to tell him a tale that I'm pretty sure would make him smile, I'm going to leave him alone, and I hope other people do likewise. Not likely to happen, but hope springs eternal.

Such a small gallery right now, but I absolutely love what's on there. The Foster's group shot up there would make for another excellent shirt! Can't wait to see what else Craig will be churning out on this thing.

Good? He's the best. ;)
(I'll bet that only one percent of the forum members, is going to get the obscure reference I am making there)

Hehe, I saw the page myself, and it's good to see he joined I guess, just hope no one asks for requests from him or whatever ;)

I was thrilled to see his page there. Now, I may sound like a suck-up or a dork for this, but I was glad to be able to thank him for Fosters. I'll never be able to see him in person like you Americans, so I wanted him to know that he made one insignificant guy's life just that much better. Plus, his art on there's awesome, and at a price that can't be beat!:craig:

I hope Craig doesn't actually look up Frankie Foster on Deviantart. I mean... well... if you've looked her up on DA, you know what I mean :frankiemad:

I went to the page and liked what I saw. Liked it a lot.

There's some neat, rustic artwork there, and I appreciate that Mr. McCrakken made a page to show his original pieces.

(Patriotic music starts playing) I feel that as a dedicated FHFIF fan, it was my duty to support Craig, and I think all us fans should do the same. Watch this creative, talented man; show him we care. (Sheds a tear and the music stops playing)

Okay, that might be a bit much, but that's just my feelings about this.

{Also, about looking up Frankie Foster art on DeviantArt, I'd agree with what's been said. I know it's a form of artistic expression, but still...proceed with caution. Proceed with caution.}

I just found out about it and now there are piles of fankids.
And the picture of Frankie reading is certainly different, in a good way, of course..

Thanks for the link! Heh, I might place a watch on him and comment on his art every so often, but I've always promised myself that I would always treat everyone as equals, so I'm only going to give him as much attention as I give everyone else on my DA watchlist. I think that's what he'd prefer ;)

That's exactly how I feel. I have a lot of respect and admiration for Craig as a fellow artist, and I'm grateful to him for creating Foster's and its wonderful characters, but I'm long past the stage of boot-kissing celebrity worship and swooning over anyone with a famous name. From the interviews I've seen with both him and Lauren, I think they'd appreciate that better by far than people fawning all over them like over-friendly dogs, treating them like they're somehow something above the rest of us humans.

Craig McCracken's great on his artwork. I started to know that he has his own DA page from one of the journals from one of my friends. I'm watching his DA page.

I have only just discovered this thread!

Those two comics are BRILLIANT! I wonder if he will do any more of those. I posted that Bloo one in the fan-art section before realizing.

Now that Fosters production has long since ended, and Cartoonsitute(?) didn't work out, has he been working on anything since? I have read that he has left his job at CN, but I don't know how reliable that news is. I assume he is taking a break from animation.

I'm afraid that it is reliable. I found out at SD Comic-Con in July from Lauren and Craig.

I like to visit this link from time to time, I've just noticed now, he does have some downright obsure tastes (not in a bad way)- ever heard of The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the Eighth Dimension?

He mentions Herge as one of his favorite artists- does he mean the Tintin guy?

Yes, I have.

It's a sci-fi movie from 1984, the plot is about a physicist, neurosurgeon and rock musician (The titular Buckaroo Banzai) who has to save the world by defeating a band of inter-dimensional aliens called Red Lectroids from Planet 10.

It starred Peter Weller, John Lithgow, Jeff Goldbloom and Christopher Lloyd.
