I just got "Sidekick Showdown" and "Blooregard Q. Kazoo, Private Eye", the two new Foster's books, today, and in the backs of each is the following ad (sorry for the quality, but I still don't have a scanner so this is a photo):

Unfortunately it refers to the DVD release in February (the book must have been planned/printed before they moved the DVD release date back)...but has anyone heard of this remote-controlled Bloo toy?

Oh, I would so buy that. It looks awesome. I would play with it all day. And take it to the office if I had one.

This toy has no mention *anywhere* online, I've been searching. Methinks this entire ad was printed a tad prematurely...

False advertising. Tut tut. We all know what sentence awaits perpetrators of that...;)

I found this old press release at the Mattel website.

I was wondering where you can buy the Foster's books? I saw one once in the Scholastic Book order form they sent home from school but only that one. It was about bowling. I haven't seen them in any stores and I really want to get the whole collection.

So far I've gotten all of mine either through Amazon.com or at Barnes and Noble. For B&N, a couple of times they actually had them in the store but the rest of the time I had to special order them; and you have to order them pretty much *right* when they're released or they'll be out of stock. You can track the book releases on Amazon.com.

I've seen one of the remote control Bloos in a photo somewhere online. I think it was from Mattel's booth at the recent toy fair.

I have a rather difficult time finding anything Foster's, even when I go to book stores and ask them to special order things. There's not a close B&N anywhere around here, and the crappy book stores around here have next to nothing even whenever it comes to pre-ordering books. I know if I can't find Gris Grimly or Roman Dirge books to preorder, finding a Foster's book is probably not going to happen, either.

The Bloo remote control thing is SO cute, though!
