I like most of the human characters in this series, but there's no doubt that I've chosen Mac. He is such a deep, complexed character. Not only that he imagined such a great Imaginary Friend, but he's definitely a great character to watch. Frankie gets second place -- she's certainly a great-looking woman, and I believe she doesn't get enough praise in her job.

Well, last time I couldn't decide, so now I have! Anyway, I've gotta go with Frankie because she reminds me a lot of myself in some ways, especially with the way she reacts to jerks like Dylan and she has one HECK of a temper...just like I do. XP But she also has a really good side as well, similar to me.

Grr why can I never have a straight choice? XD lol, I'm having trouble picking one again but I would either say Mac, because I just love his personality and I HAVE to like him for inventing my favourite IF! But I also like Frankie, especially her really caring side.
Btw, what happened to Madame Foster?:)
DoubleLatte
08-20-2006, 04:07 AM
Definitely Mac. He's everything I'd ever want to be if I were a kid again, IF included. This the one character that makes everything just look fun. Bloo adds all that great mayhem and chaos and all, but Mac is... well, Mac. :) You don't often see an 8-year-old taking charge of a group of six people and planning a trip to Europe by himself. *I* couldn't do that, even now!

Frankie, for being a very balanced and surprisingly complex female character that doesn't fall to any stereotypes or cliches. She's kinda my dream girl in fictional form, WITHOUT being a Mary Sue. I just love a girl that is foxy and nice at the same time.

Gee let me think....who is my favorite human.....heh.
I think my avatar and sign speak for themselves, FRANKIE BABY! But why you ask? Because as Bloo so aptly put it:
"SHE'S HOT"
I think she's very cute, and attractive and I think she's got such a sweet and caring personality. I thought her cookie obsession was just plain hilarious and it reminded me so much of Mac's sugar psycho mode.
But Mac comes in at a close, close second because I think he's such a good kid and he's really decent and honest inside. It's amazing how he could create such a polar opposite personality imaginary friend like Bloo.
I also think Mac has the best "screams" in the show. If you've seen "Squeeze the day", you'll see why I find his crazy yells and screams to be so amusing.

Well, I gotta vote for Mac, because he's just adorable, very precocious and he created Bloo. But second is Frankie, because of her red hair, fashion sense, and she's such a sweetheart even when she's stressed out -- it was just the sweetest thing ever when she thought Coco was sick. She was so concerned and maternal. Awwww.

Gah, I'm the most indecisive human being ever. If I could, I'd vote for Frankie, Mac, and Goo all at once, but...then the entire purpose of the poll would be utterly destroyed.
In the end, I guess Frankie gets my vote, because there seems to be so much to her than all the other characters, plus she's one of the most original characters on a cartoon I've ever seen.

But seriously, spending time on this board it's no wonder I fell head over feels for the lovely Ms. Foster, Frankie. Everyone talks so much bout her good qualities and her sweetness, I haven't changed my feelings for her one little bit.
After watching many more episodes, the Wilt movie, and seeing more of other humans like Mac and Goo play on screen, Frankie still wins hands down for me. I just wish she could get her own episode and not have Cartoon Network only play it once like EVERY 5 years or something.

I think a great idea would be to have an episode that focuses on the one thing Frankie never gets: appreciation for her work. Maybe like a birthday or holiday episode, like her b-day comes up and Mac realizes how much Frankie has done for em and decides to have everyone do the chores for Frankie.
Sort of like an appreciation day and Frankie for once in her life can not be stressed out. Although, thinking of the Foster's gang taking care of the house themselves would probably leave more problems then solutions. But least that way it'd be funny and people can finally see how hard Frankie really works.
....and I know I'm sounding stupid because I'm talking like this is an ACTUAL episode when it's just an idea. But I think it's a good one none the less.
Voxxyn
12-01-2006, 11:23 PM
That might make for a good episode... but it could easily be twisted into a "shock" ending where, instantly after her day off ends, Mr. Herriman forces Frankie to clean up the countless messes caused by the gang's attempt to take care of the place. If that were the case, I'd end up hating it as much as I did IHFUMEUP.
And that idea sounds like it would center on the "Foster's 5" instead of actually being a Frankie-centered episode.

Yeah, for one of the show's most sympathetic characters, Mac has endured a lot of undeserved suffering. It's starting to worry me.
The ending to "Foster's Goes To Europe" was just vile. I'll never understand why the Foster's crew sometimes insist on wasting their talent on such viciously cruel and meanspirited episodes that do nothing but hurt the viewer's feelings. I REFUSE to see the humor in how Mac tried so hard to get everybody ready for Europe, only to get screwed in the most heartbreaking way possible.
I originally thought "I Only Have Surprise For You" was fine, but after thinking much over it and reading Mr. M's harshly negative feelings on it, I now see the true horror of it.
And, of course, Bloo is often pushing him around and dragging him along for his schemes. :jk: I really hope that, for a future episode, Mac will outsmart and one-up Bloo for a change.

I think Bride of Lister was more referring to the way Mac is treated in fanfic, which can get pretty frightening. One of the contributing factors as to why I almost never touch Foster's fanfic anymore. (Not to say that I don;t think he's treated badly in the show sometimes, but its NOTHING compared to the way he's treated in fanfics, believe me.)

Right on the button! Every fandom has one character who in fan fiction will be the one who gets abused/cancer/sent away/ect. Without fail it will be the nicest, (usually) youngest and probably already in need of a hug character. One of the more worrying thing is the syndrome is worse in fandoms with a lot of young authors like Foster's or Yu-Gi-Oh!

I love Mac, I really do!
But, I chose "Other". Why?
Because of Richie Wildebrat, of course! He's so snobby and has the worst case of nasally voice I have ever heard. I luff it. x3
*Fangirls a little*
Also, I DO have a thing for blondes. And he's only in one ep, bringing truth to the whole "absence makes the heart grow fonder" cliche. *More fangirling*
Okay, I'm done.
Mac is very, very next up after Richie, mos def!

I was actually very impressed to see Mac come to an EXTREMELY close second place, by merely a few votes from tying with Frankie. I of course voted for Frankie no second thoughts required but its nice to see that despite the overwhelming love for Frankie that more then a few notable members promote across this board that Mac still gets his support and fans to keep him up.
Honestly though, I can never truly get over how much I truly loved Frankie. She was like Gir from Invader Zim, she wasn't the star of the show but I loved watching her so much I couldn't help but think "Man this character needs more air time!" Where as Gir was funny not to mention absolutely hysterical to watch, Frankie I think earned most of the votes because of empathy with people.
I think a lot of us could relate and imagine how horribly suffocating that job must have become for her and all that crap and lack of respect for the literally countless number of tasks she performed effortlessly. Outside from the fact she is absolutely smoking hot, I think that's a good reason for a chunk of majority of the votes.

I haven't visited this link in a long time, and I must say that I'm surprised that Madame F. got less votes than Goo. :mfoster::gooblab:
Anyway, if I could vote a second option), I would definitely choose Frankie (I voted for Mac). I really like her, and I totally believe she didn't get enough praise in the work she did for Foster's.

Mac is definitely my favorite human character. He always seems so cool to me, plus he's very smart, and I admire that quality in people. It's rare to find a kid who's cool, calm and collected like Mac is :)
My second choice if I had it would be Madame Foster. I mean really, how could you not love a possibly semi-psychotic old woman like that :mfoster:
Then I would choose Frankie. She is awesome, just not as awesome as Mac or her grandmother in my opinion

I can't help but vote for Mac. I love everything about that kid: his kind, caring personality, his shyness, his desire to help others, and above all just how damn lovable he is. All my life I've been grateful for being an only child, but I definitely wouldn't mind having Mac as a little brother. And he's just adorable.

Who else if not Frankie  ? Well, first, she's working so hard for the house and doing everything fine for everybody, second she is very nice with people and, I don't know, got everything right.
She's the one! :)
