(Giving this game its own thread)

According to this website (http://www.entertainmentearth.com/prodinfo.asp?number=MTK5790ZZ) its in stock now. So I wonder if its in stores now too or just some online shops, or what. :P

I'm going to check and see, whenever I get a chance to go anywhere.

Now amazon.com (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000J6YMMC/ref=pd_kar_gw_2/002-5596302-2770427) says its will won't be released until January 15. :P

That's odd; I got an email from them earlier saying that mine had shipped today. Which is right? :terrconf:

My copy of the game arrived about 90 minutes ago; it is missing no less than 19 pieces. I strongly urge the reader to not buy the game until Mattel takes whatever steps are necessary to correct what I assume is a production error.

This does not bode well for the rest of their upcoming Foster's toys. :(

That's inexcusable! You must be so disappointed! :(

Disappointing, but I suppose I can send it back and ask them to try again. And to please fire Inspector #14. 8D

Edit - PLEASE DISREGARD MY LAST TWO POSTS. The missing parts have, happily, been located; they were in a separate, very small plastic bag that had gotten wedged under one of the cardboard flaps at the bottom of the shipping carton. My apologies to Mattel and Inspector #14.

Board games. Whoa.

Cassini: Cool, you got it back... darn those small plastic sack thingies, heh... So, do you have someone to play it with? ;)

It was quite a relief. :)

In it's carrying case the game measures about 8" x 11" (21cm x 27cm), and easily fits on my scanner. Here's the front:

And the back:

The game is designed specifically for two players. The rules are a little more complicated than I expected, given that the game is for ages as low as six, but easy enough to follow. The game pieces are very sturdy cardboard; the character pictures are indistinguishable from what you see on the show (some would make rather nice avatars). The whole set is very good quality and not a bad price; $14.99 + $6.45 for shipping.
