I had this idea for some random Foster's fan-fic:
1. This story tells of an ordinary day with Goo. It would probably be written in first-person, so you can imagine all the fun with that.
2. Wilt's "origin story". Not how you think it will be, as you'll never hear of his creator or see his family. I also wanted to include Jackie Khones as the person who ends up helping Wilt get a job.
3. A story involving Bloo painting everyone his namesake color. The story is more of a run up to this incident. 8-)

We most likely will find out about Wilt's "origin story" in the upcoming tv movie, Good Wilt Hunting. According to Cartoon Network, we will learn about "Wilt's mysterious past" during the course of that movie, and presumably, that will mean finding out who his creator was, and why Wilt was abandoned, and perhaps how he received his injuries.

Don't you think it would be better to wait and see what the canon version will be first? That way, at least you do not have to worry about anyone saying that your version isn't right because it differs greatly from what is accepted, unless you make it clear than your version is "AU".

It would be better if you waited; the movie will probably have a lot of fanfic potential. I, myself, am looking forward to it, hopefully it'l be 'Niagra Falls', if you know what I mean.

Unless Craig and Co. totally pull a "fast one" on us Wilt fans(and fans of the show in general), I have a feeling that there's gonna be one heckuva Kleenex shortage the day following the airing of Good Wilt Hunting! That, and the servers for FF.net are going to crash due to massive overload.

I agree. =/ If you still wanna go ahead and write it, by all means go ahead. It just seems pointless writing a story that well eventually see on tv, IMO.
I cant wait until November. It used to be just the holiday seasons I looked forward to each year, but now Wilt has given fall a whole new meaning.
I say, if you have the idea, write it. Who cares if they're making a who movie or not?
Write till your little heart's content I say.

Write it. Who knows, maybe you'll be close?

Writing the story before the movie comes out removes any influence the movie might have otherwise had on the story. Go for it while you still have the time. ;)

Whoa DoubleLatte, you said it. Fall is my favorite season, and now because of Wilt, it's just going to be a GREAT season! lol
And I have to agree with PB....one better have boxes of Kleenex ready.
