Hello there! I have my own fanfic on FF.net and I was wondering what you guys all though of it.

Summary:It's that time of year again, where Imaginary Friends from all over the world are transported to Foster's and one inparticular catches Wilt's eye. But when he begins to fall for the British girl, an unusual turn of events strikes Foster's as Berry returns.

http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3106285/1/

I hope you like it and if you have an account on there PLEASE review :D

EDIT ~ When I first posted my story here, I wasn't planning on things being particularly, you now, intimate. But, now the story has progressed alot and the story is getting deeper, I felt I should warn any future readers that there are a few breif, sexual scenes, nothing major, but enough for me to consider upping the rating to M at some point... I dunno, I may ask for advice on that *shrugs* Still, I'm to tackle a very sensitive subject in time, and that, along with future interactions between Wilt and Zigzag (And possibly another character) as readers get further into the story, may be ineed of a warning before hand. OK? Good, OK...

Issues with privacy...XDD

And plus how Zigzag keeps screwing up on Foul Larry's name. XD

That part kept making me think of Bloo constantly screwing up Berry's name!
Anyone remember the movie, All of Me, with Steve Martin and Lily Tomlin? There was a bathroom scene in that movie which was very much like this one, except that Tomlin's character, a stuck-up, persnickity millionairess, had recently passed away, and a spirit medium she'd hired to transfer her soul into the body of a younger woman messed up and transfered it into the body of Martin's character, so they were both sharing the same space, so to speak. Tomlin's character controlled HIS voluntary movement, though, which made for a VERY interesting ordeal when he had to visit the men's room, lol! The fact that poor Wilt only has one hand, and it's chained to someone else's hand, would make things really inconvenient for him at that time...issues with privacy, indeed!

I just got a pretty angry flame from someone on this story. The reviewer goes by the name of Flame Rising, and it seems that he/she has a pretty big problem with alot of stories from many different catergories. It seems he aims for the ones with OC's in to pick on. Here's what they wrote:

Good God. A f***ing piece of s*** from my a** could write better than this. How old are you? Five? Six?

What the f*** is wrong with you that you think you can write a story people want to read? The only people that like this crack-out piece of s*** are other inbreds like you.

Please, do the rest of humanity a favor and never, ever write anything again.

Just to make sure, maybe you should jump off a cliff.

Got it?
Good.

I just don't what the point if in flaming people like this. They can be terribly insulting.

Vampyre, if you didn't notice, this is the EXACT same review he copied from the flame from another story. DON'T LISTEN TO THAT MORON. That moron never even authored a STORY. Instead, he lives up to his pen name and flame anybody and everybody, even if the story is well written. He's only spamming your reviews. And he's probably also jealous because he may not be able to write HIMSELF. He never submitted a story.

In the story "Restaurant Stop", he left that SAME EXACT review.

I even wrote my own review to defend you, and I won't care if he flames back.

He's just a spammer.

Check out this person's(and I use that term VERY loosely)profile-he/she has signed up on FF.Net for the sole purpose of flaming every writer of fanfiction on there, and plainly states this, with the same amount of profanity. He/she also boasts that there is absolutely nothing that anyone can do about it. Well, we shall see about that. Since FF.net apparently has done away with their "Help" option, I had to use the review abuse report to report them, but I made sure to plainly state that I was NOT reporting your story, but the reviewer, and I included a link to "Rising Flame's"(now THAT ought to clue everyone into this individual's purpose)profile page, so that the admins can read it for themselves. I couldn't figure out any other way to contact them, since there is no longer that option on the homepage for contacting them or reporting bugs, not that I can see. This individual apparently hates FF.net, and everyone on it, and is out to make that point. Most likely it's someone who's been kicked off before.

By the way, you DO have a "Block" option in your profile, which allows you to block any registered user, as well as anonymous reviews, from posting a review. That way, idiots like this cannot post reviews to your stories, so they will be wasting their time trying to. You can also delete reviews, so you don't have to leave it there.

Vampyre

I've never noticed the block before. Hah, I wasn't even aware anyone could do that XD

I think it's silly that there isn't any way of properly contacting the fanfiction support or what ever it was called. Not only that, but I think there IS a bug going on, either because of FF.net or my stupid email system. Under normal circumstances when you submit a new chapter or story, you always get a email about it, and the same ehappens when you submit a post in one of the forums. I posted up the 14th chapter about three days ago and I left a post in the Frankie Wilt section the following day and I haven't received a single email telling me about them OR my reviews on the chapter.

I HAVE seen the reviews though, so I'd just like to say thanks ^__^

Yeah, I'm not getting emails of reviews or forum posts, either, even though they've been made. The FAQ and the Help sections have disappeared completely, and when I click on "Extras", I get a message telling me that this will not be available to free subscribers, and that more information will be available later, so apparently, like DA, FF.net is going to a system where you have to PAY to get the full benefits and use all of their features, which sucks, if you ask me. Still, you can block whomever you like from posting reviews, or set it to not accept reviews from anyone not signed in. I've already done just that for this particular rectal orifice. It would NOT surprise me in the least if this does not turn out to be one of the same trolls from TV.com, taking out their anger on Foster's fans, since so far, that seems to be the only section "hit" by this moron.

I don't believe he has reviewed any other stories, but he's created a C2 about all sorts of catergories, and out of interest, I took a look and I don't think I saw a single Foster story. Hmm... Well I must say this isn't the worst review I've had. I remember this one anonymous reviewer whom still surfs among the Kids Next door catergory, used to litter perfectly good stories with the 'F' word and then go botehr some other stories with the same couples in it. I find it TERRIBLY annoying when people do this, because not only can it be rather insulting, but it also baffles me WHY people do it, and what the point of it is.

The interpretation of Eduardo and Coco was nearly spot on, and Zigzag was a nice character. That said, I didn't quite like the way you portrayed Blooregard Q. Kazoo, he's not really a soft guy. More of a zany, selfish always-on-his-feet-guy. But I digress, this is about Wilt for the most part, and he was well presented throughout.

Vampyre
05-09-2007, 02:08 PM
The first chapter was written back in August, so, not to toot my own horn or anything, but my writing has gotten a LOT better since then, mostly in writing out the character's. Bloo didn't REALLY have that mcuh of a part in the first chapter, other wise I'd have probably been able to get him alittle more in character. Sorry.

Ouch...Zigzag really tore Wilt's heart apart there. I can imagine Evanescence's song "Even in Death" playing as I read that argument.

Yeah, poor Wilt! I left a review over on FF.net, by the way. That scene reminded me of one in the old series, "Moonlighting", when "David"(played by Bruce Willis with HAIR) finally realized his feelings for his co-worker, "Maddie"(Cybil Shepherd), and was convinced by a bunch of old Black dudes to tell her how he felt(he'd told them of his feelings for this woman, now he's got to finally tell HER). After buying a "Flower for the Dead" from this old Latino woman who kept showing up offering them for sale, David goes running over to Maddie's appartement to tell her how he feels, only to see her going into the apartment accompanied by her old college beau, played by Mark Harmon. He just stands there in the shadows outside, as it starts to pour down rain, and he finally just turns and slams the flower into a nearby garbage can and walks off, defeated. That's exactly how it seemed for Wilt, going to bring Ziz a rose, only to have her tell him that she has accepted a date from another guy.

Yeah, that was one of those "IT'S ABOUT TIME" moments if ever there was!

pitbulllady

Yeah, it only took 20 chapters for them to realize that they love each other. XDD

At least THAT amount is better than a n00b story where Wilt and a Mary-Sue realize love in less than 5, and, BY chapter 5, thinking about marriage. I think most of the time in that sense, we don't know, or it's never been mentioned, that the Mary-Sue loves Wilt too, until he tells her first. Then that Mary-Sue is like "OMG i love u 2 wilt!!11!" and we're like "What?" since we didn't KNOW this. At all.

Zigzag is a fine example of a GOOD OC, she's not dense, she's not girly, she's not a moron, she doesn't care for her looks (at least, that I know of) has a bad temper, HAS A PERSONALITY, is British, (I assume that most Mary-Sues are American) and the main thing is, she looking like Wilt in almost every way was said to be coincidental; just a thing where "it just so happened to end up that way", and not a "purposeful thing" because its obvious that Sara didn't know there was Wilt around, who bears a big resemblance to Zigzag. The only thing about them that are the same in appearance, though, is their "frame", or structure. Other than that, their total opposites. But that's why they go together. :D

I've been following "Crooked Smile" since my summer vacation in Philadelphia, Pennsylvannia. I liked it from chapter 1: Zigzag is definately something-- she has an attitude, she's very straight-forward and she could kick your butt-- and she really balacnes Wilt's sweetness. I think they'd make a fantastic couple and am EAGERLY (VERY eagerly!) waiting for new chapters (this will come as no surprise to Vampyre, since I've practically begged for updates through fanfiction.net!). (When I got an email saying chapter 20 was up I almost fell out of my chair!) I really like this one, and will be following it until the finish!

P.S. Pleeeeeeeease update soon! I'm dying out in Bush Alaska!

I left you a review over on FF.net, but this one took me totally by surprise! Still, like you said, Wilt has already proven that he's willing to do anything for a cause he really believes in, even die for it if need be, so I really shouldn't be too surprised! Like I said in my review, if the unique ambience and atmosphere of the South Carolina Low Country doesn't really fan that simmering romance into a raging inferno, there's no hope for it whatsoever! Still, I'd sure hate to have to ride all the way across the North American continent in a SCHOOL BUS...Oi, talk about butt fatigue! I guess having a certain tall red gentlemen along for the ride would make things a bit easier, though, and I'm sure from HIS perspective, that old bus beats a freakin' LAWNMOWER any day of the week, lol!
And he didn't exactly STEAL the bus, now did he, since Frankie(whom I suspect was in on that plot from the start, if not the one who came up with it)actually did hand him the key!

We don't know that for sure; Frankie certainly must be the one who carries insurance on the bus, so it's not inconceivable that she is listed as one of the owners. Usually, in most US states, the person who usually operates a motor vehicle, unless they're a minor, is the one who has to carry insurance on it, and therefore is the one whose name will appear on the vehicle registration. Even if it belongs to Foster's Home(and it probably was donated to such), Frankie, being an employee/family member, would be considered an owner. Frankie is certainly the one who'd most miss the bus, since she depends on it for HER transportation, in any case. Besides, I don't think that Madame Foster would mind too much if Wilt decided to take his sweetie on a cross-country drive. I just can't bear the thought of having to make what would be about a four-day trip by CAR(which is probably a whole lot faster and more dependable), let alone a bus-I can barely stand a trip to Charleston in a bus from where I work, which is only two hours away, but then, at least Wilt and Zig-Zag don't have to put up with a busload of screaming fifth graders, either.

pitbulllady

Vampyre
10-28-2007, 12:10 PM
I almost changed my mind about Wilt kidnapping Zigzag and taking the bus; I was going to have him charge down the road, dragging Zigzag along with him, then having Zigzag pull him to a stop when they're like, running through the park or something, followed by another argument and then Zigzag eventually trying to slap some snese into him. But I felt it was just... Too depressing, and I felt that something good should happen before everything goes wrong (Oh come on, you guys didnt think it would bee plain sailing from when Ziz dumped Ramone, did ya?)

I got your review, PBL, (I had my head phones in at the time, so the gun shot that sounds when I get an email defeaned me, thank you) and you'll probably be getting a note from me on DA or a PM on here rather soon, since I'd probably have a better chance penetrating re-enforced concrete with a plastic spoon than writing out everyday life it a state which is almost half way across the world to me. I really appreciate your offer to help me, since from here on, I officially have no idea what I'm doing XD

No problem-I'm happy to help. I make several trips to Charleston, aka "The Holy City", each year; I've got relatives and friends who live there, too. I got lost there recently, in the very same part of town that we glimpse in GWH, which is NOT a part of town you'll find on any of the tourist websites, let me tell you! The only good directions I got all day(I was looking for a convention center in the suburb of Mount Pleasant, where the Southeastern Studebaker Drivers Club was hosting a meeting and show) was from a member of the Crips, identified by his and his cronies' "colors", in front of a Voodoo shop off Rutledge Street. I don't know what was more interesting, the Voodoo shop, or the look on those guys' faces when a middle-aged White woman walked up to them and asked for directions, lol, even though they were doing their best to look menacing and threatening. This is one of those very old cities where you can be in a well-preserved historical section of town one minute, with art shops and five-star restaurants, where the upper crust of society still speaks with a slight British accent, and the next moment, you're in a crumbling, crime-and-drug-ridden ghetto, or just a bridge's span away, a tropical island, where the locals speak a language and dialect that's been almost unchanged since their ancestors were taken from their West African homes, centuries before.
You know it's gotta live up to that lable of "Most Polite City in America" when even the gang members are willing to give you directions!

It only took me flippin' forever, but I finally dropped you a reveiw last night, Vampyre.

WARNING: SPOILERS

I loved this chapter. I was expecting something very sad, but then Wilt hauls off and kidnaps Zigzag. Dear God, I love it! It just goes to show that Wilt is willing to go to the ends of the EARTH for her, and what an amazing couple they'd make.

I noticed that Wilt's mind keeps going into the gutter more and more in these recent chapters. Read the following sentence very carefully: I'm not complaining! It's funny to have him think a relatively dirty thought and then go, ":wiltshock:" X)

I love having them go to Charleston! It's fantastic and I'm hoping for something romantic to happen.

END OF SPOILERS

Looking forward to your next update! (And it had better be soon, otherwise I won't write my sequel!)

LOL, Wilt is just the sort of guy who'd have lustful thoughts and be embarrassed about it! But, if Charleston doesn't bring out "something romantic" in those two, NOTHING will! Some of the tourist publications have referred to that city as "New Orleans Lite", since it's got a lot of that same ambience, just with a slightly more conservative twist.

Still, I'm for giving Vampyre plenty of time to get these next chapters right. She's never been to South Carolina, let alone Charleston, so writing dialog that's accurate for a place she's never visited(though I'm sure that the invitation is wide open)has to be tricky, to say the least. I think it would be easier for someone from the US to write dialog in "Black Country" English, since that's pretty similar to how Ozzie Osbourne talks, and EVERYONE has heard him, but other than Wilt, Steven Colbert is the only native Charlestonian I know that most folks have at least heard of, and he has no accent whatsoever(acting lessons). It's not just dialog, either, but local sights, sounds and VERY importantly, TASTES. This is a "food" city, known for its cuisine, again, much like New Orleans.

Ozzie Osbourne is what Black Country Folk would call a "Brummy", seeing as he originates from Birmingham, which is just outside the Black Country, so, yeah, you can see where he gets his accent. I'd imagine that it would be quite trying either way, since the Black Country is the only area of Britain that still uses terms from old English that you can probably find in Shakepsearian plays like "Macbeth" and "Romeo and Juliet", just slightly modified, even if it's not used as much as it used to be. The accent has grown to be a bit more intelligeble since the mid 19th century, back when the sky was still black and kids no older than five's faces were even blacker, covered in sut after working down in the coal mines...

I WILL try and update faster than usual, but, like PBL said, it is alot more difficult to write at the moment, since I haven't, and probably never will go to Charleston...

OK, fine-- I'm willing to wait. Besides, it evens out since it'll be a while before I get my sequel really up and running like a well-oiled machine. I just now started writing it!
