As some of you may know, some of us here are planning to take another trip to San Diego, California in late July. For a few, including myself, this would be the third consecutive appearance at Comic-Con (http://www.comic-con.org), some for the second time, and maybe a few people could be going for the first time ever. *points at a random person* Will you be one of them? :) The 2008 Comic-Con will take place Thursday, July 24-Sunday, July 27, 2008, with Preview Night to be on Wednesday, July 23. If you wish to know more about the event, visit www.comic-con.org.
Now that I've got your attention, raise your hand, if you're absolutely serious about attending the con this year! Get those hands up, people! 8-) *waves hands around*

Government Man, myself, and hopefully a new prop will be attending all days. ;) Early registration is recommended, as they did sell out some days last year. Although note that cost has gone up.
I believe Lauren will have her booth again this year (My Firefly, Inc), although the exhibitor's list on the site is still from last year so I'm not sure.

Really? :terrconf: I think the preliminary list that's up is for 2008, which includes My Firefly, Inc. and Cartoon Network. Unless my eyes are tricking me. 8D

(Raises hand) Oh, wait, you already know I'm going.
Not much I can add to what ORD already said. If any of y'all can make it, that would be grand; it's a great adventure with plenty to see and do both at the Con itself and elsewhere in beautiful San Diego, and it's a great opportunity to meet some of the people behind our favorite show, and a few of your fellow Never Forgotten members, too. If you can come, by all means come! ;D

As usual, I'm going. Not sure where I'll end up staying and which days yet, however. It'll be very dependent on my (new?) job.
Offer still stands if you need me as Bloo at any poit.
I'm attending, and it appears that my friend Matt may be joining me. Maybe. Also maybe on my buddy Ralinda from Texas.
Let's all cue CG's mom to get on her back again! (yes, it has happened already!)

I'm hoping to be there this year, for the first time, I've been thinking about this since early last year, and I'm really looking forward to it. However, nothing's for certain, so you will just have to pencil me in for the time being, I need to get my passport sorted and a good amount of money together. But I really want to be part of this, to be able to experience the 'Con first hand, see the sights of San Diego, and hopefully to meet some of you.:)

Third time for me. Pre-registered a few months ago for the whole weekend this time. Hoping to go with one of my old friends from high school who I learned was there just a little too late.
Hopefully the writer's strike won't last long enough to screw things up.

Big apologies to ORD, who's heard this a thousand times already...:(
I'm aware that you have to register for a 4-day pass to be able to get into the Con. All well and good, I can afford it. However, my only method of payment is a Solo debit card, and the site won't accept it. (In fact, pretty much no online payment site will take my card, and to this day I don't know why). Now, the site will take Visa cards, and my brother Chris has a Visa (Electron) card, so I am going to give him the registration fee to put into his bank account, and then he'll try and register using his card. However, I'm not sure that Visa and Visa Electron are quite the same, and in a previous transaction, Chris' card wasn't accepted, because of it being Electron and not simply Visa.
I'm really sorry to bang on about this, but it's such a headache, and I want to sort this out as soon as.

A explosion at a hotel construction site just down from the San Diego Convention Center rocked the area yesterday afternoon. The Center is fine, but more importantly, 12 people were hurt in the explosion.
Here's a map (http://www.geocities.com/Chris_30040/DowntownSD.jpg) of a small portion of the area, it's at the corner of Harbor Drive and 8th Avenue.

I read about that. I'm guessing that's the new Hilton Bayfront hotel that was scheduled to open in December of this year. Here's a link (http://www.nbcsandiego.com/news/16341804/detail.html?dl=mainclick) to what happened. The event could've been a lot worse than what happened over there, but I'm hoping the critically injured workers will be able to survive.

During the week of the convention, if you tune in TV, you'll be seeing some how-do-you-dos on XETV/ch. 6 and KSWB/ch. 69. That's because on August 1, Fox is slated to move from ch. 6 to ch. 69 (which right now is a CW affiliate). XETV is taking Fox to court about the move because they claim they have an agreement through 2010, but Fox says the current contract expires at the end of July.

Hi everyone. Just wanted to drop by and let you in on some news...
Sadly, I am not in charge of the booth this year. It has been handed over to Cartoon Network in Atlanta. It looks like they are doing a great job, so don't worry about being dissapointed.
However, I want to let all of you know that Craig's panel and signing are going to be on Friday only. I know the one day tickets are selling out fast for that day, so if he's the reason you are coming down and you missed out on the four day passes, I would jump now if you can.
He's doing a PPG/Foster's panel from 11:15-12:15 in room 6A. Then he's signing from 1:00-2:30 at the booth for Power Puff Girls, then again from 4:30-6:00 for Fosters.
The CN booth will be in the same place it was last year. I also believe that Lauren will have her own booth again (or so I've heard).
I, personally, will only be down on Thursday, so if you are around and happen to see me, please say hello!
Have a great time this year, and please remember to take plenty of pictures!
Take care everyone!

I had a feeling this year would be a combo, having heard the PPG news myself. I suppose the separate signings mean appearances of both casts?
And Friday does indeed have a reputation for greatness. 2 years ago that day also had Bruce Timm and Robert Smigel (Triumph the Insult Comic Dog, TV Funhouse), and last year also had Shin-chan and the premiere panel for Chuck, among a whole mess of other things. I have a feeling that it doesn't sell out as quickly as Saturday only because it's a workday.

Hey wait a second...if it's a combined Powerpuff Girls/Foster's panel then maybe we'll see some good natured cross over stuff from shared cast members.
Like for example I would totally go crazy if say Tom Kenny did something like his PPG narrator shtick...but with Eduardo's voice.

For those that are expect me in action with the Bloo costume this year, I'm afraid that realistically, it's going to be extremely difficult to bring it this year. For one reason, I will be traveling to San Diego via Amtrak. Second, Rid won't be joining me this time. Finally, Sparky and Government Man won't have room (I completely understand). On the upside, I would save some cash, since I wouldn't be shipping anything.

All righty. I'm bringing it back, baby. The costume will need to be worked on again, though. The only place I could find that would be able to ship something as large as what I have is by going to Pak Mail (it's to be shipped via FedEx). They wanted $250+ for shipment and work on the packaging (I was not willing to pay that much). The best deal they were able to get me was $175, so I went ahead and paid for it.

Got word from CN today that they are planning to have a camera at the Con and someone doing interviews with fans. Assuming this doesn't fall through, when I find out where these interviews will appear I'll pass that info along.

Okay, hope I don't regret posting this publicly...But if I can help someone out that'd be cool.
We have an extra room booked for the Con that I'm going to be canceling, either today or over the weekend (I think we have until Monday to do so). It's at the Comfort Inn Gaslamp, one bed but with a rollaway, from the 22nd to the morning of the 28th (you could drop some nights if you don't need them). I've never transferred a hotel room to someone else before but I know it can be done. The person who takes it will need a credit card; you may have to give me that info to make a transfer. I'll call the hotel and ask them what they need if someone takes me up on this.
If anyone wants this room either PM me or email me (sparky@theneitherworld.com) if you're not a forum member. Of course this won't help anyone who doesn't already have Comic-Con tickets... ;) Anyways we always book a backup room because I don't trust Travel Planners. :P
edit: The room is no longer available.

And so the adventure begins...
My flight took off from Hartford at 6:20 AM Eastern time, ten minutes later than scheduled. That was the fault of the weather. Other than that the trip was uneventful; I proceeded to Cinncinati, changed planes, and it was onward to San Diego. There was some minor turbulance on the second flight but nothing serious. They fed us rather well, too, albeit for an extra charge. I paid, and to kill time I slept as much as possible. More like dozing or napping, at best; kind of hard to sleep on a swaying and rocking plane. Eventually we landed at 10:15 Pacific time, a few minutes ahead of schedule I might add, and after recovering my luggage and taking a few minutes to unwind I got a cab and headed for the Comfort Inn Gaslamp. The driver was a talkative fellow but he had a thick accent so conversation was difficult; I think I got about one word out of every four. Ten minutes later I arrived at the CIG, which, honestly, was a letdown, at first; it's nowhere near as nice as the Marriott, where I stayed last year. But it's livable, and likable after you get used to it, which didn't take long. So I settled in, relaxed for a bit, and after that I headed out for supplies. Supplies come from Ralph's supermarket. All good non-Con things come from Ralph's. Stars, I love that store. ;D Anyway, I shopped, picked up some sandwich materials and a few toiletries I'd forgotten to pack, and then it's back to the hotel where I found ORD checking in and Taranchula standing nearby. Nice to see y'all again, guys. We parted company at that point to take care of various things (my stuff being mostly Sims-related :bloocross:). I probably should have taken a nap; aside from a little dozing on the plane I'd been awake for roughly 24 hours at that time and it was beginning to wear me down. Eh, whatever. I'm on vacation, I'll sleep later. Taranchula knocked on my door a little later; he and ORD and BlueBottleFlyer are going to the mall, do I want to come? A few minutes later we're all heading for the mall, a five-story, open-air structure packed with restaurants, specialty shops, and a Hot Topic. Yeah, we stopped there; had to see the Cheese stuff in person, y'know. Place gives me the heebie-jeebies. We hit a few other stores and after that we were off to the Marriott to join Sparky and Government Man, a ten-minute walk that took much, much longer than ten minutes, but I'll let someone else explain about that.
Do not listen to ORD when he says "This way" or "I know where we're going".
Eventually we found the Marriott and made our way to Sparky and GM's room and a little while later we all headed downstairs to one of the hotel's restaurants for dinner. I had the fish and chips. Then it was back to Sparky's room for a little idle conversation, a little relaxing, and a little planning. It was getting late by then so the four of us headed back to the CIG, pausing long enough in our travels for a very long train to get out of our way. We parted company and headed to our respective rooms where I checked in here briefly and finally collapsed, exhausted, having not slept for over 36 hours. It had been a very long day, but a very good long day, too. :)
That was Tuesday. Today is Wednesday, and so far I've gone out for a sandwich and typed this post. Later on the entire lot of us will converge on the Convention Center to register and get our badges. In the meantime I'll try to keep myself entertained. Shouldn't be too hard. ;)
For the record, I'll eventually be posting some pics of the trip on my profile page. Nothing there right now; when I upload them I'll mention it here. :)

Glad you got here OK.:) My hat goes off to you for getting to sleep on a plane. I tried on my 2nd flight between Heathrow and LAX, it was impossible. I think I only managed around 10 minutes or so.
I had a feeling the "10-minute walk that wasn't 10 minutes" would end up on here somehow.:D

I just finished repairing the Bloo costume. It was an adventure. ORD had given me some of the steel boning the creator had used to give it its shape, but I had no way to cut it. Luckily a maintenance guy in the hotel did it for me. :D Yeah, the costume was in much worse shape this year than last, last year I could just re-glue the boning, this year I had to tear a lot of it out and replace it. At least there were no actual rips or tears in the fabric this time.

Ah, I remember going to a Comfort Inn on my trip to San Diego last year. For me, it was an awful experience, especially considering there was a much nicer comfort in (at the sme price I believe) just a while away. Not much differences room-wise, but the environment was nicer.

Well, let's see...
Around 3:30-ish we gathered at Sparky's room once again. CG was there this time; nice to know she got here safe and sound. I didn't really want to walk to the Marriott again so I took one of the local bike taxis. Cost $5.00 but was worth it for the time I saved. Soon thereafter it was time to go register so off we went, stopping briefly at one of the Marriott's computer terminals so Taranchula could print the form he needed. Registration requires a form with your personal barcode on it, which the Con organizers email to you when you pre-register online. That done, we hiked over to the Convention Center to the back of a fast-moving line and in less time than it takes to tell we were up on the second floor, handing over our forms and ID's to the people who register everyone, we got our badges and presto! We can now hang out at the Con all day, everyday, until it ends Sunday night. We separated at that point; CG and her friends went off to I don't know where, ORD and BBF headed out to do their thing, and the rest of us went back to the Marriott to look over the schedule of events. There's less for me personally to see and do at the Con than there is for everyone else, I think; don't get me wrong, I enjoy comics and animation quite a bit, I'm just not as into all of it as everyone else is. Still plenty going on to keep me occupied though, and I'll pass along the details as they come up, either here or in a more appropriate thread ("Guys! I just learned that Frankie's college major was-" goes in the Frankie Foster Discussion Thread, for instance). Anyway, the four of us (me, Taranchula, Sparky, and Government Man) eventually got hungry and headed out th the marina area, where we settled on one of the sandwich shops and dug in. It's a very nice area but I neglected to get any pics. Eh, we'll be back before the Con is over, I'll get them then. Having finished our meal we headed back to the Convention Center, specifically the jam-packed Exhibition Hall, which is where we met up with ORD and BBF, and where we stopped by Lauren's booth to say hello. Craig was there, too. Always nice to see them both; after all, they're the people behind Foster's and Foster's is why this Forum exists. I don't really know either of them all that well but I can tell you that they're two highly creative, talented people and I'm glad I've had the chance to meet them. Maybe we'll talk a bit more sometime; kind of hard to get to know anyone in a crowded, noisey exhibition hall, and let me tell you, it was very crowded in there. Tolerable if you're prepared for it, but given that this was just preview night, I wonder how much more crowded it may get later in the week. (Shudders at the thought.) We were at the booth for 10-15 minutes or so, after which we split up to do our own things. I wandered around for a bit, taking in the sights and sounds, gathering a few pics here and there, and finally I made my way back to the CIG to write all this and post it while it's still relatively fresh in my memory. A little later I'm heading out again, this time to find a restaurant that catches my eye and get myself a steak. Or maybe some seafood. I really haven't made up my mind yet.
Anyway, that was Wednesday in a nutshell, and yes, miss Lynnie, I am having fun for everyone. Next year you can hopefully make your own fun here. ;)
And I can stay in and play with my Sims. 8D

After leaving Lauren's booth GM and I started at one end of the Hall and started systematically going up and down the aisles (didn't get terribly far) - the first stop is always the huge t-shirt store where I got a Bender shirt and a Foster's shirt ("Still Bored"). We hit the Telltale Games booth and I bought the new poster and Season Two of Sam and Max. I mentioned that I wanted copies of the shorts the company put out a while ago which are only on the Season One disc TTG distributes, but I already own the Best Buy edition and don't want to buy another copy...so they gave me one for free. :D In exchange they want lots of pictures of me with Plush Max (http://neithersparky.deviantart.com/art/Max-Again-77858660). ;)
Anyways this post is taking too long to type, lol. I'll tell more later.

Yep, everything happened just as Sparky and Cassini described, I should know because I was there.
Yes we once more got to chat it up with Lauren and Craig at Lauren's booth, glad to see the both of them are doing well.
It was also at that same booth where I got to meet forum member cartman414 for somewhat the first time. I say somewhat because aside from maybe a quick hello or nod last year, we never formally introduced ourselves to each other.
After that I just took off on my own, did a few laps of the con floor, picked up a few posters and other freebies, played and looked at a few video games at the Konami, Capcom and THQ booths. And bought Sam and Max: The Complete Series DVD set from the Shout! Factory booth. And then hoofed it back to the Hotel.
So now that preview night is history it's time to get the main event started.

I guess everyone wants to know about my Wednesday at Comic-Con. I woke up completely just after 7 AM. I had to get a Starbucks beverage, went to San Diego State University Aztec Recreation Center (used the San Diego Trolley a lot). and bowled a few rounds with BBF. I reached my highest score ever of 130-something. We both had a great time there. We went to Target and Best Buy to see if there were any Foster's DVDs, and we were unsuccessful there. We went to the Marriott to meet with Sparky and GM, then headed for the Convention Center to pick up badges. That went really well, then BBF and I went back to Comfort Inn Gaslamp and had to get something over there. After that, it was back to the Convention Center for us to enter for Preview Night. Waiting to enter the Exhibit Hall was a bit long, but not terrible (it just felt like forever). I stopped by to see Lauren Faust with BBF, then I tried to look for a friend that lives in my hometown (not joking)...wasn't successful early on, briefly visited the CN booth, went to see Lauren again with the rest of the guys (this time, Craig McCracken was around)..and I saw cartman for the first time, spent more time trying to locate a hometown friend...and I finally saw him within 30 minutes left of the remaining time at the Exhibit Hall. I took many photos, and I went back to the Marriott to rest my legs a bit, left and took a trolley back to where Comfort Inn is. I also went to Ralph's. That was pretty much it. Oh, and CEEG and someone outside of the forum...we saw them earlier, too. :) Man, what a day!

I think we're going to do the interviewing tomorrow (probably around the FHFIF/PPG panel). Due to a rather bad headache I opted to stay in my room for the first part of the day. Not sure what triggered it but I'm willing to bet the sudden change in my diet from rice and vegetables to sodium and lard had something to do with it. I missed the Spore panel with Will Wright but it wasn't all that important. Later in the day I made two trips to the exhibition hall, taking a slightly different route each time so as to see more of the city. And a fine city it is, too, clean and neat, sporting a variety of architectural styles and trimmed with trees and other greenery on almost every street. Both trips to the exhibition hall were primarily for the purpose of taking pictures, and I did get a few good ones. I also took quite a few around the city itself, away from the convention center, mostly of skyscrapers and local businesses. The real fun for me didn't come until around 8:30 PM, which was when I headed out for dinner. The city has a delightfully bewildering variety of restaurants to choose from, and nearly international cuisine you can think of; Afghani, Indian, Polynesian, Mexican, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, you name it, it's probably around here somewhere. My first choice was Boca de Beppo, an Italian place about a half a block away from my hotel, but unfortunately there was a line waiting to get in. Not for me, thank you; if I want to stand in line for food I'll do it at the golden arches and get a Big Mac. From there I wandered up a random street, rather aimlessly, seeking nothing in particular other than a chair and a meal. Any place I looked at, I tried to get a view of the patrons, to see if the place might have a dress code. If it seemed to, I wrote it off, partially because I'm not dressed like they probably want, and partially because I consider dress codes to be an elitist activity and I don't support elitism. One's outfit has little to do with one's character, nor is it necessarily an indicator of wealth. Anyway, the search continued. My next stop, I don't even know what the place was called, nor did I have any idea what they served, but I didn't really care; the idea here was to try something new and different, not the same old familiar stuff. No room, unfortunately; whatever it was, it was popular. The hostess told me it'd be 20-25 minutes but I didn't want to wait around that long. She also told me that they're less crowded earlier in the evening so I may swing by later in the week, assuming I can find the place again. My third stop was at the Dakota Steak House; success! I was promptly seated at a sidewalk table, given bread and Coke, and soon thereafter I was dining on a perfectly cooked steak and the best scallops I've had in years, accompanied by a good sized potato, green beans, and mushrooms, all of which came with descriptive adjectives on the menu that added to the price. Money well spent; it was an excellent meal, and my location gave me an excellent view, too. Dinner and a show, sort of. It was getting late by then so I thanked my server, paid the bill, and headed for home. Problem was, I wasn't too clear on exactly which direction to go; I hadn't really been paying close attention to landmarks or anything else during the journey. Whatever. I set out towards what I believe was East, turned here and there, and a half-hour later I said the heck with it and hailed the next bike cab I saw. Adding to the fun was him taking me to the city's other Comfort Inn (oops), and getting into a race with another bike cab. Yep, my life is one big adventure, isn't it? 8D In any event I finally made it back to the right hotel, gave my Frankie plushie a hug, and sat down to write this. Another long but interesting day; not a lot happened that was Con-related but it was certainly fun. ;D

...Okay I doubt that, but... eventually. It would be hard to find me if I got lost in a crowd. I'd be the guy that looks exactly like every one else, but without a costume. :P
EDIT: I forgot to mention I had a dream last night about the con. It was at the Foster's booth, then Craig said something like "So, I'm sure you're all here for either Powerpuff Girls or Fosters' Home for Imaginary Friends-" then some kid started jumping around with his hand raised saying "I'M HERE FOR FOSTER'S." The CN interview with Sparky and ORD was filmed about an hour ago. I don't know how it went or what was said because the moment I saw the camera I got the hell out of there. I'll leave it to one of the others to tell us more.
The movie is scheduled to air in November, and as it turns out it's not the last episode. The show will continue to air new episodes into January of 2009. We aren't getting any additional episodes, let me be clear on that, they are simply spreading out the remaining few Season Six episodes over a longer time frame. We were also told the titles of the movie and the final episode but I don't recall them completely, only that the word "Imagination" is in the movie title and Bloo's name is part of the finale's title. Wish I'd written them down. I'm going back to the exhibition hall to Lauren's booth in about two hours, I'll see if I can clarify things a bit.
We also were treated to a clip from "Return Of The Bloo Superdude", which was hilarious and had Frankie in a prominent role.
That's all for now.

The interview was filmed with us standing in the direct sun so forgive me if 1) when/if they air any of it I seem loopy and 2) I don't recall everything right now that we said a half hour ago. :P
Anyways first they just filmed me and ORD in costume, not speaking, for a couple minutes, just to get some shots, then we did the interview with ORD out of his costume and me without the backpack and wig (and with my glasses back on so I could, you know, see). They asked us stuff like what's your favorite ep, who's your favorite character, what do you like best about the show, is it your favorite show ever, have you met the cast and crew, how many conventions have you been to, have you found/made any really cool Foster's items, what kind of merchandise would you like to see, what kinds of stuff would you like to see on the CN web site, have you played the online games/will you play Fusionfall, that kind of thing. I think we both just said pretty much the kinds of things you'd expect ORD and me to say to those questions. We talked about this site a little bit too.
I honestly don't know if this footage is destined for the channel or the website. They may have said, but I am tired and dehydrated and I don't remember. :P
Oh and the guys were nice. And we did see Lori briefly before the panel, she was on her way out of here. Good to see her if only for a minute. We saw some other Foster's cosplayers (waynekaa's group?) at the panel, Mac, Frankie, and Goo. They also had an awesome Mojo Jojo and Him. I got some photos but my videocamera's not functioning so no video (turned out they didn't allow it again this year anyways). Tom Kane was actually there too, he was unscheduled.
The neatest thing was running into Tom Kenny in the line for Starbucks at our hotel this morning, lol. He got the last Cheese badge strap I had made, and I gave the last Bloo one to Keith Ferguson before the panel.

I'm surprised the movie isn't the finale. But I'm not upset about it. The title of the last episode sounds sad, but I have confidence in Craig and Co. that they'll keep us fans happy. I just hope CN doesn't mess anything up. ::)
And Yay for interviews! Wow, that's so totally awesome, I'm without words. Really, I am. ....Yeah, nuthin'. Wow, just Wow. Congrats on that!  I hope they air it! Well, if any one happens to see the Foster's Panel on Youtube or something, please post it here. I'm sure I didn't need to ask that, because some one was gonna post it eventually anyway.... but.... yeah.
So, Sparky, you guys were filmed by Cartoon Network?! ....Wow. I hope to see the video soon.

Well, I'm not really sure what to say that hasn't already been said about the PPG/Foster's panel. Thoroughly enjoyed it, though there was the obvious bittersweetness with the show's imminent end mentioned. Great clip from "Bloo Superdude" in there, too.:)
Got some autographs from the crew at the signing later on, that was something else. You can tell that they love what they do, not just on Foster's, but on any show, and they're really great people. I'm glad I was given the chance to meet them.:D

Do you think there's any possibility of you making it out here next summer, JJ? :D We can be rookies together. And if you want, maybe even roomies as it's much cheaper to room with someone. And you've probably already noticed that, with the exception of Sparky, all the forum attendees are guys. :nyah:
That would be truly awesome. Presently, I'm not sure what I'll be doing this time next year, or how I'll be placed money-wise, but if it seemed like a viable option...well, we'll see nearer the time. :D
Glad that everyone's having such a great time over there. Goodbye to Bloo, huh? Sounds kind of heavy. I'll wager that Mac's nightmare of his family moving away to Singapore might be materialising into a genuine threat after all.

Goodbye To Bloo
Baaawww, that's depressing :[!!!
Glad all of y'alls are having fun! It sounds like a blasty-blast. I so wish I could be there... especially since apparently there was a Dr. Horrible panel. Bogus.
It's interesting that the movie isn't the last episode; hopefully the fact that the real finale is a regular-length one will maybe mean that nothing that will make me sob like a baby will have time to materialize. They sure aren't pulling any punches with the title, though. Sob. SOB.

So from reading that ToonZone article, I'm getting that no new episodes will air until 2009? Is that true?
And: Goodbye to Bloo. Just reading that title totally depresses me.
Glad to see everyone's having a good time and...I'm jealous, man! I think it'd be awesome to go to Comic Con just to meet some of you guys.

Time to play catch-up.
Thursday was a great day. Got up, went to the Tiny Toons and Freakazoid panel, then went to the autograph singing at the WB booth. Toured the floor for a bit, went to the spotlight on Steve Purcell show. Did some more touring waited and waited and waited in line for the Street Fighter 4 panel, I did eventually get in but had to sit near the back. Then when that was over sauntered over to the Pitching Hour panel where I was on the verge of falling asleep in my chair not because it was boring, just because I was exhausted as hell and just wanted to lie down, so I abandoned my plans and went back to the hotel.
Friday started out great, went to the Marvel: Your Universe Panel at ten, followed by Foster's/PPG at quarter past eleven, took a lunch break with Sparky GM and Cass shortly after. I left the group early to catch the Ghostbusters Panel, and it was there where I suffered my first disappointment of the con, the panel was canceled. So with nothing to do for a few hours I headed back to the floor to waste some time before the evening panels, thankfully it turned out the time there was anything but a waste as I was able to snag a few autographs. The first signing happened almost by accident, I was out the Shout! Factory to pick up another DVD when at the same time there was a Mystery Science Theater 3000 signing going on, I was just about to move on as the event was about to end and I didn't think they didn't would take anymore people, but all of the sudden one of the guys at the booth asked me if I wanted to get some stuff signed, I not being the one to turn down free famous people ink, gladly accepted the offer and got the autographs of Bill Corbett (Crow T. Robot, Brain Guy, Various), Kevin Murphy (Tom Servo, Bobo, Various) Bridgett Nelson (various) and Mary Jo Phel (Pearl Forrester, various). Tooled around for a bit more, met up with One Radical Dude and BluebottleFlyer at the Cartoon Network Booth. Where once more the the pens of people I admire touched down to make their lasting impression on a sheet of paper. In this case it was Craig, Lauren, Tom Kenny, Tom Kane (Who was a last minuet surprise guest at the Foster's/PPG panel) Tara Strong and of course last but certainly not least Keith Ferguson.
After the signing I made my way upstairs to partake in the nights programming, it was there where I encountered a huuuuuuuuuuge problem people and lots of them. You see I had the brilliant idea to attend a panel for the Venture Bros, followed by one for Robot Chicken and lastly one for Mystery Science Theater 3000 (As they were going to be held in the same room and I enjoy all three shows very much). But the problem with having a brilliant idea is that there going to be a some copycats and in this case there were at least over a thousand copycats. Who were already waiting in line before me and after being told numerous times there would be no chance of getting in for "any" of the panels I gave up hope. I headed over for the 24 panel (It was in a bigger room, so I had a faint hope of making it in for that.) but that particular room also was going to be the site of a Prison Break panel and an Avatar: The Last Airbender panel, so saying that things were a bit crowded would be the understatement of the decade. So there I waited in line for over an hour (Reuniting with Sparky and GM, who also couldn't get into MST3K et al and decided to head to the Prison Break/Avatar panels because they were going to be held in the same room as Worst Cartoon's Ever.) So we got in (though I missed the 24 panel...boooooo) caught the Prison Break/Avatar panels. Which were okay (I don't hate the shows, but I don't watch them either. So I was kind of lost when people were yelling and screaming at almost every little thing they showed.)
And after that was WCE, and I think there was a question relating to that, so lets go to it now.
And if anybody was at Jerry Beck's Worst Cartoons Ever show last night, please let me know what was shown.
If I remember correctly they showed the usual WCE crowd favorites. Mighty Mister Titan, Super President, Spunky and Tadpole and Johnny Cypher, along with Sam Basset: Hound for Hire (which debuted last year.) Paddy The Pelican (Which debuted back in 06...I think.) and Sinbad. Jr the cartoon they were going to show last year but got bumped for more Rocket Robin Hood. (Sadly, RRH was not shown.) and for the first time ever they showed some vintage commercials from the 50's and 60's, including a promotional short for the Moon Mullens cartoon they showed last year.
And that was Friday.
As for today, I got up early and headed over to the conventional hall at about 8:30 to wait in line for the Futurama/Simpsons panel at 10, and it's a good thing I did because once more the line was huuuuuuuuge. (Yeesh you'd think there was convention going on or something. :P )
Though this time I was able to brave the long lines and get in for the show. After that was a panel of Cartoon voice actors which contained some names you may heard off, such as Wally Wingart, Alicyn Packard, Chuck McCann and of course the ever popular Phil LaMarr (Yes ladies, he did do the voice of Wilt), the panel was also to have contained Tom Kenny and Jason Marsden but as showtime neared those two were not on stage and the crew took down their nametags, meaning that either were not going to appear at the panel. (The reason they gave was they flu. Poor guy hope he didn't get it from one of us. :P) However they did have some replacements lined up, one which was planned "Gregg Berger" and the other which almost literally came of the blue or should we say "Bloo". You see right before the panel, Keith dropped by to say hello to Phil and Alicyn and just as he was about to leave the room, the panel moderator manged to get Keith to stay and fill the empty seat and thus the panel was once more whole.
Great panel too, they did the usual "Who do you voice?, How did you get started?" stuff and followed that up with the actors reading from an old Superman radio script. (Wally's interpretation of Jimmy Olson has to be heard to be believed and Keith does a great Latino accent. In fact there were so many highlights I just can't print them all with out )
After that it was back to the old Hotel for some rest and relaxation before heading out for a night at the theater.
So that's all the news from me, from the great city of San Diego and with that I bid you adieu.

Truthfully, that's one of the reasons I came here last year; not just for Foster's but also because I wanted to meet some of the people I'd gotten to know here on Never Forgotten. Definitely made both trips more worthwhile and will be part of the equation when I try to figure out if I'm coming again in 2009. Today I skipped the Futurama panel in favor of doing my Sybil Pandemik cosplay for the Sam & Max/Strongbad panel. I got green Sharpie from my tattoo on Max. :P Hope it comes out. Then I ditched the costume and Max and had lunch with GM then headed back to the Convention Hall. I got pbl what I think is a pretty awesome present for her birthday, then went over to the Full Moon Features booth to meet Charlie Band...who had wandered off a while ago and they didn't know where he was. He was scheduled to be there then for signings so they had to call him and tell him he actually had a fan waiting for him. So while he was heading over I went back to CN and told the Fusionfall folks that the guy who had interviewed ORD and I yesterday had told us to go tell them to try and push us through to be beta testers so I can advertise the game on my site. I gave them my info but I think I still have to email someone. I dunno. Did you talk to them yet ORD? Anyways I went back to FM and hung around and found out that they had set some Blade lithographs that sell for $20 on the counter and people had walked off with them thinking they were those free mini-posters some booths were giving away. :P Damn. Another Puppet Master fan I know from a PM forum turned up and we started talking about replicas (he makes his own that are 1,000 times better than the "official" ones btw) when Band showed up. I bought a Six-Shooter litho for him to sign and we took a photo (http://www.theneitherworld.com/pm/images/sparkyband2.jpg), and I told him about my new PM fansite and a new PM roleplay board I'm moderating. He wants me to get in touch with someone at Full Moon Direct about that. Then I went and finished covering the last of the convention hall. I didn't buy anything else.
I met GM later for an awesomer-than-awesome Ralph Bakshi panel (that man is seriously one of the coolest people to walk the Earth). We grabbed a pizza, ate one slice each, then went to the Balboa Theatre to see Rifftrax Live do Plan 9 From Outer Space. Having been some of the first people to get tickets, us and t were right in the front row. Before the show started my blood sugar plummeted to the Earth's core because I think I took too much insulin to cover only one slice of pizza so GM had to buy me some food. :( I didn't die though, lol.
We're back in the hotel now, and I have a blister from wearing Mac's shoes all evening. Oh well.

Friday started out cloudy and warm. Not that I cared too much; I was kind of busy stuffing myself with CIG's complementary breakfast again. Stars, my doctor is going to kill me. 8D After breakfast the next order of business was a trip to Ralph's for iced tea. Much to my surprise, Ralph's doesn't carry much in the way of diet iced tea, and what they did have were the ones with nasty flavors like peach, a flavor that has no business associating with tea. Bleh. Fortunately there's a deli near the CIG that carries what I wanted; a bit more expensive than Ralph's but whatever, I gotta have a supply of tea in my room. I think it was around 10:30 AM or so. I didn't have anything Con-related to do until 1:00 PM so I killed time online, here and on various other sites, mostly Sims-related. I headed for the convention center around 12:30 PM, giving myself plenty of time to dodge and weave my way through the crowds to get to my destination; Lauren's booth in the exhibition hall. Well, I'll tell you, I must be getting pretty good at this, because when I had the booth in sight I asked someone if they had the time, and it turned out that I still had 15 minutes to kill. Hadn't planned on that! What to do with the extra time? I went back outside and photographed a couple of cosplayers. After that I headed back to the booth; today was Signing Day, Craig was going to be there, and he takes requests. You already know who I requested a sketch of; if you don't, you really, really haven't been paying attention. 8D It's fascinating to watch the man at work; a few quick lines with a light blue pencil form a framework, followed by darker, more detailed lines and curves, and in almost no time at all, a new picture of Frankie is born. She's looking adorably sullen in this one. I envy the man's talent; he is truly gifted, to be able to do what he does, to bring such beauty into the world for all of us to enjoy. I wish there'd been time to talk for a bit but I didn't want to hold up the line. Pity; there's a lot that I'd like to ask, and more importantly, a lot I'd like to tell him. Not likely, I'm afraid. Maybe I'll post it someday and hope that he reads it. Sketch in hand, I thanked him, got a pic of him and Lauren (my poor camera is so overworked this week), and headed for the door. The return trip took a lot longer than getting to Lauren's booth did; not wanting anything to happen to the sketch, I didn't try to move with the crowds or wiggle my way through them, no; as much as possible I avoided them entirely. I didn't get back to the CIG until after 2:30 PM, at which point I collapsed into my desk chair for awhile, then into the shower and eventually off to seek lunch. It had been a tiring morning and afternoon, but it was definitely worth the effort.

Day 3: I saw the Futurama panel, I tried to get a ticket for an autograph (from a series that my bro is into), and I drew for one, but it wasn't 1 of the lucky 300, got a few photos from a few characters from "Who Wants to be a Superhero?", purchased a Bloo exclusive thingy from Funko, attended Cartoon Voices I, met Kelsey Mann (he's a storyboard artist for FHFIF). I did attend the masquerade. Great day. I'm going to sleep now.

Well if you want to prepare for the suffering and torment that WCE provides, you can buy a DVD which contains some of the cartoons they show.
http://www.rembrandtfilms.com/worst-cartoons-ever.htm
Sure the DVD doesn't come close to the experience of seeing this tripe on the big screen with hundreds of rowdy fans, but it's a good introduction to some of the toons they show every year.

Many thanks for the round-up. I take it Spunky & Tadpole was episode 4 of "Message To Marcia" (I remember watching this show at age 5 as a tot in Riverside...curse you KHJ/channel 9!). Paddy The Pelican did debut at the Festival in '06...I have a DVD of that year's show. I remember Sinbad Jr. as well. Sam Singer did the first series, then went belly-up, so American International Pictures got Hanna-Barbera to do a second batch. I take it Jerry screened a Singer cartoon.
Wish I could have been there, but still...many thanks again, taranchula!

I never did finish writing about what I did on Saturday after I got my Frankie pic. There's not too much to tell, unless one is interested in restaurant reviews. Lunch was at Boca de Beppo, the Italian place I mentioned awhile back. No line waiting to get in this time. The inside of the place is like a maze, albeit a well-lit and very nicely decorated maze. Lunch itself was Saltimbocca, chicken with prosciutto and artichokes, accompanied by fettucini in a light cream sauce. Extremely well done and very filling; along with the bread course and the caesar salad, I was stuffed, and dang happy about it. Excellent service I might add, too. I would loved to have gone back but there were so many other places to try and not much time left to try them. Maybe I'll go there again next year. Either way if you're ever in town and looking for a good meal I highly recommend them. :)
Dinner was another story. Boca de Beppu was something I'd planned on for lunch but for dinner I hadn't made up my mind at all. I'd been leaning towards the Galileo 101, an expensive place described as serving progressive Italian cuisine, located across the street from the convention center, but that's a bit of a walk and it was still a little too warm out for that. Besides, I'd already had Italian earlier. I also considered but ruled out Chopahn, an Afghani place, mostly due to my complete lack of familiarity with Afghani food; I don't want to inadvertently order something that makes me gag, after all. Maybe in 2009, after I do a little research. Out I went at that point, figuring I'd stumble into something, and that's how I discovered Exy. Described as a sophisticated yet informal Greek restaurant and lounge, this place was a fabulous experience all-around. The menu is not as extensive as some places but if the filet mignon I had is any indication what they do have is of exceptional quality. I even stuck around for dessert, which is something I almost never do, but the cheesecake they serve is just about the best I've ever had. It astonishes me that there weren't more people in the place, although I think there were more there than I could see; the place has two private dining rooms that may have been in use. The area I was in included the bar and was a bit on the dark side but that only added to the place's ambience; that, along with the decor and the techno-jazz background music, not to mention top-notch sevice from a pleasant server and hostess made for a very enjoyable experience, the best dining-out adventure of the entire trip. Of course, being a Foster's fan, I couldn't help but think of Futurproup; it and Exy are both upscale but look nothing alike. The thoughts I had that followed are best left for the Frankie Appreciation thread. In any case when I finally left, I left with a full stomach and a contented, happy smile on my face. If I do return to San Diego in 2009, another trip to Exy will certainly be on my mission list.

So the long awaited Con is over for another year. *sigh* I'm sure it's bitter sweet, after having such a grand time, and now able to settle back into the more familiar. I'm glad everyone had such a great time, and now here's wishes for safe travels back home for those who have yet to look forward to that trip.
There's a Boca de Beppu in my home town. In fact, my company held our annual Christmas/End-of-year party there last year. Yes, excellent food. There was a misconception over how many were to attend, and WAY too much food was prepared. So each of my colleagues and I got to bring home whole PLATTERS of leftovers, filled with fettuccine alfredo, eggplant parmigian, ravioli, spaghetti with meatballs, sausages, and salad. I ate good for a whole week afterward. Great place.

Not quite over; I haven't told you about Sunday yet.
It started with the breakfast buffet at the Marriott. It's an all-you-can-eat affair, and I certainly got my money's worth out of it. Bacon, sausages, eggs, cheese, potatoes... my doctor is going to go ballistic when I tell her about this. Let her; I'm full. Most of our group was there for this cholesterolfest. Afterwards we hiked back up to the lobby where we split up to do our own things; in my case that meant heading back to the CIG to mess with my Sims for a bit. Whatever lunch plans I'd had were thrown out, as I was far too full to do much of anything. I ended up lying down for awhile to let everything digest in peace. A few hours later I took a quick trip to the nearby deli to restock my supply of iced tea, and when that was dealt with I headed out to the convention center one last time. My purpose was twofold. First, I wanted to thank Craig for four wonderful years of a very special cartoon. Second, I wanted some answers, answers to a few nagging questions about my favorite character. So many things I wanted to ask about her but I didn't want to hog the man's time so I limited myself to a few big questions and a few not-so-big ones. So in I went, and after weaving my way through the crowd I found the booth once again. For those of you who haven' met him yet, Craig is a good-size man with long curly brown hair, a very friendly guy with a warm smile and a firm handshake, and I'm very glad I had the opportunity to talk with him, however briefly; I don't think I was at the booth for more than five minutes or so. But that was long enough; I got my answers. I left the convention center shortly thereafter with a huge smile on my face and headed back to the CIG. Yes, I'll post what I found out in the Frankie Discussion thread later. What I can post, anyway. Did I mention the huge smile? Yeah.
Later that evening the lot of us gathered for an end-of-Con dinner at Taka, one of the local Japanese restaurants. Very nice place, and not too terribly pricey, but unfortunately I was still a bit full from the gigantic breakfast I'd devoured ten hours earlier so I didn't order or eat much. Eh, no matter, it was more about the company than the food. It will likely be a somewhat different group next year but circumstances permitting I hope to be a part of it once again. After dinner we stopped at a local ice cream place and had a few laughs. CG and her friends headed for their hotel when we were done, the rest of us escorted Sparky and Government Man back to the Marriott (the "Moderator Honor Guard", as it were 8D), and from there the rest of us we said our goodbyes, hitched a ride on a bicycle taxi, and made our way back to the CIG.
It's Monday evening as I type this. I'm the last to go; my plane leaves in about three hours. It's been an eventful trip, I'll say that. Comic-Con 2008 and the beautiful city of San Diego will soon be a memory, but it will be a treasured memory, filled with wondrous sights, great food, and a fine group of people that I'm glad I've gotten to know. Maybe some of us will meet here for the first time at Comic-Con 2009. I'll be easy to find; just look for the guy who hates flying. ;)

We got home about 40 minutes ago after another 10 hour drive (most of which I handled; when I found out GM was actually falling asleep at the wheel and not actually saying he was too tired to drive he was forbidden to drive anymore). We unfortunately got home too late to go pick up Kiwi a day early, and the bird shop does not open until 10 am. :wiltshock: I no longer just want Kiwi back, I need her. Eight days is way too long to be away from her, I don't care how annoying she is. I haven't seen Duchess yet as she is in her cave but I have to assume she's fine, and all the spiders are in good shape. Oh, and the car had no problems this year. Yay. :yeah:

Ahhhhhhhhhh, it's good to be back....In Canada!
The trip home was very nice, just a chance to sit back, relax and play Final Fantasy 4 on my DS while flying over the picturesque American countryside. And for anyone who wishes to know, almost all of my stuff made it back safely with me, I say almost because I think I may have lost my DS charger somewhere along the way, but that's not such a big deal seeing as how they are easily replaceable.
And despite the increased attendance I will go on the record as saying this years con was waaaaaaaay better then last years, I got to meet up with a lot of great people, I got my hands on massive amounts of merchandise (some of which I'll never be able to find anywhere else) and lastly have the opportunity to be able to be part of some memorable moments that I will keep with me for the rest of my life. And when it comes down to it those happy memories are what it's all about.

I didn't bother to post, because I was too "Conned Out", or beat from the Comic-Con stuff (still am, but I'm good enough to explain now). Sunday turned out better than expected. It began with eating a breakfast buffet at the Marriott Hotel & Marina, then it was to the Convention Center to check out what's going on. I went to see that the Chowder autograph session was taking place. I managed to get photgraphed with C.H. Greenblatt (the creator), Tara Strong (Truffles), and Dwight Schultz (Mung Daal). I also chose to pre-register for 2009 Comic-Con at the 2008 Comic-Con. Then, I went back to the Marriott to pick up the costume. I didn't get to do much with the costume on Friday, but Sunday was different. Keith Ferguson calls me (I gave him my number the other day, and no I don't have Keith's number...which is perfect.) around the 1 PM hour bringing up the thing we're supposed to be doing. We met just outside of the B1 entrance to the Exhibit Hall. Some photos were taken, but the best part was recording the stuff that happened with the costume. It likely won't be up until after August 7 (the date I'm scheduled to go back to AR). Just be on the lookout for something awesome. I had him (as well as Craig and Lauren) autograph the box of that Funko exclusive of the Bloo toy (around 200-300 were made, so it was very limited). After that, I brought the costume inside the Exhibit Hall. I did something we tried to do last year and failed; and that was to get Craig and Lauren to see the costume. I even had a few photos taken of the two with me in it. Then, it was off to the Cartoon Network booth, and I wore it there (tons of photos of taken from other people). I wanted to show it to Kelsey Mann (who was a storyboard artist from the series; I met him for the first time the other day), but he wasn't at his table. After the Con officially ended, I took a break at the Marriott to be ready for eating Japanese sushi and cuisine. We got there at around 7 PM. We ate, some of us had ice cream, and that was it. As far as ice cream goes, I didn't finish it. Why? Unfortunately, when I took a lick, it fell to the sidewalk. For some strange reason, the group was taking photos of it with me putting the cone down (almost nearly touching it). :bloocross:
Today, it was time to leave San Diego. I had planned on visiting the Marriott to say farewell to Sparky and GM (I had done so last night, but I was going to see them briefly for one last time), and BBF went over there. However, we learned that they already had left. My knee was bothering me a bit, so I didn't feel like going up there earlier. We went back to our hotel, picked up our things, and then took the trolley to American Plaza, and walked directly to Santa Fe Depot. I said farewell to BBF, and I got on Amtrak's Pacific Surfliner leave SD and head to Anaheim, which the ride went smoothly. I felt some discomfort on my right knee earlier when walking, but it's pretty much gone (hopefully, I didn't do any damage to it, and it's just me "Conning Out" 8D).
Great times, and I want to thank everyone for assisting me with the suit. I hope we can get a few more people to join for 2008. :)

Well, we said we were leaving at nine-ish...we were actually able to have the bellhop wheel the cart full of our stuff right out to my car in the lot, so I didn't have to pull it around to the front. That was awesome. I had stuffed some of our smaller, softer items in the box with the Bloo costume and thanks to the mad packing skillz of the bellhop (he was seriously awesome) everything fit just fine. Now, I'm not sure where I'm going to keep the costume, but it's here safe and sound, and I'll do something about that "lazy eye." I think I'll contact the lady who made it and ask her what those black plastic things even are.
Oh yeah and about that ice cream cone - I saw them make one in the store when we were in there and I noticed that all they did was scoop some ice cream from the freezer and just PUT it on the cone. That is seriously the wrong way to make an ice cream cone. You need to fill the cone with ice cream first so that when you put the scoop on top it has something to stick to. Also you get your money's worth more than just a ball of ice cream sitting on top of a cone. :P So anyways that's why it just fell off like it did. Totally not your fault. :wiltyeahright:

In that case ORD, you should have given that server a kick in the shins and bestowed the title of "rip off artist" upon them.

Okay, thanks. I'm glad you guys ended the trip without any car problems. That's a huge plus there. Even if you two don't join us for Comic-Con next year, I do would like to see you both at some point during 2009. ;) I know it's way too early to make a decision on '09, but...yeah, we'll see. :)

By the way, everyone, I am starting to put together the CCI '08 section of the site, so if you have any good photos to share please email them to me (sparky@theneitherworld.com). It doesn't have to be Foster's related, send it if it's awesome (just give a description). I did not get any shots of Craig or Lauren this year, so some of those would be keen. Thanks! (Also later, video links would be great when they're available.)

I completely forgot to mention that I ran into a few people that recognize my costume from deviantART, including one that I watch (shutterbugmom, her daughter, and her daughter's boyfriend [I think]). So yeah, that was kinda cool, too!

I'm home. Yay. Anyway, I've got about 170 assorted pics to look over. I'll have them up as soon as I can.
The flight home was uneventful other than a little turbulance. That's about it.

I really hope I can save up the money to go next year. I've been wanting to go to this thing ever since I got into comics. Glad to hear you all had fun.

Start saving now, that's what I'm doing. San Diego isn't a cheap city but it's well worth the price. Hope you can make it. :)

We picked up Kiwi this morning and brought her home. She's kinda ticked but she hasn't bitten anyone yet, lol. She's just been super-noisy and very demanding; she wants to be on both of us, she wants drinks, she wants snacks, she wants to tunnel and headbutt and everything she missed for the whole week. So, the family's back to normal I guess. ;)

Supply and demand means that the most expensive part will be the lodging. Second biggest expense would be getting there.
From Thursday morning to Sunday afternoon, I didn't even spend $60 for food (most meals coming from the hot deli, bakery, produce and/or dairy sections at Ralphs), so one can do SDCC on a somewhat tight budget.
(Full report from me later ... I'm still working.)

Sounds like everyone made it home in one piece, that's great. :yeah: Now we just need to officially hear from BBF. I hope all went well for him as well. :)
Yay, Kiwi sounds to be in good spirits and health. It's funny how our furry/feathered and even scaled family members can have their own little personalities. And we humans just don't feel complete without them. I always miss my cat when I have to leave him. If I make it next year, he will be staying with my mother. "Grandma" will take good care of him. But I'm sure I'll still want to check in now and then. ;)

I made it back safely.:) ORD pretty much covered what I did in the last 2 days as I was with him for the whole time. Quite something to be part of the little Bloo costume skit with Keith Ferguson, that was a priceless moment, thanks for letting me tag along with that, ORD.:D
I wasn't as talkative as I could've been at Taka, and as some of you probably saw I wasn't really getting into the food there (I'm a very picky eater), but as Cass said it was all about the company. Glad to hear everyone made it back home OK, too.
Felt a bit downhearted at having to leave SD, but I honestly had the time of my life, it's the biggest thing I've ever done. I know I wasn't very talkative with everyone because of my shy nature, but it was great to meet up with everyone and not to have to talk behind a computer screen for once.:D
My flights home were long and draining, and there was plenty of turbulence on all three flights (pretty bad over mid-America, and the landing at Heathrow was canny rough), but as I said I made it back safely.
I'm glad I was introduced to this forum when I was, and that I was given the chance to join you all at such a wicked event. Whether I'll be back next year or not remains to be seen. We'll see what happens.:D

Cool. I'm glad to know that everyone made it back home safe and sound, and that the past week was so brilliant for you. I seriously hope that I'll be able to see the Con for myself sometime - it's got a lot to live up to. :bloosmirk:

This year, we have almost 15 minutes of footage to show for the Bloo costume and Keith Ferguson interaction, as well as fans and attendees posing for photos. I had to split the video into two, and they are not subtitled (I may try to do that at some point, but not now). Here they are!

For those interested and/or bored, I've uploaded a bunch of assorted pics (54 total) from San Diego and the Con to my profile page, divided into five different albums according to subject. Ideally you'd start with the "Comfort Inn Gaslamp" album and work up from there - that's the order I uploaded them in - but I suppose it makes no actual difference. Enjoy, and feel free to comment. :)

CartoonNetwork.com posted a "spotlight" video on their site with snippets of the interviews they did around the Con, so ORD and I are in it for a few wee seconds. I am right now uploading it to YT so those of you who can't see vids on CN's site can see it too. I'll post that link when I have it. In the meantime if you can, go to cartoonnetwork.com and click on Videos and the CCI one is at the top.
(News that the vid was up was given to me by a banned member. I never quite know what to say when a banned member tries to be helpful... :-X )
edit: Okay it's uploaded but still processing, and I must go to bed. Here (http://www.youtube.com/user/NeitherSparky) is my YT profile page, just try there, I'm sure the vid will be up soon; and anyone who gets the time may post the link here when it's up.
