Theres more than just content updates, they seemingly do bugfixes too. Unfortuantly I have not been playing the game that long, but the last two updates look like this:

No in the current game, the level data just does not exist for them. The firist updated opened up the 3rd floor, and the second opened up the gounds to the rear of the mansion, so its assumed that the next update will open another floor of the mansion.

Pretty simple, Breezy. Get high-scores in the mini-games, go to the 3rd floor, and look for the door the says, "My Room". Then find places in the room to put the furniture in. If it all dissapears, play the mini-game again until you get the hight-score from last time. ;)

That depends on Who told you to get them and where they said the sissors where.

Holloween adventures: across the hall from Madam Fosters Room.
Augusts adventures: in Coco, Ed and Wilt's room

If you're doing a favor for Wilt and he asked you to find his scissors, you just have to look around the house until you find them. Hope you were able to!

I just checked while doing a favor and the Conversation was in notey.
I do think it is in a bad spot being intergrated into the HELp pages.

I looked over the Help pages and it was documented that the "Say Again?" section was under the "?"(Help) section. HOwever it was only documented under the Topic of "Notey". Personally I think it should be mentioned again under the topics of "Favors" and/or "Adventures".

Personally I think it would be more appropiate to have the "Say Again?" section either under "Current Activity" on the main "Game Stats" page that way it is more intuitive to find it.

Currently the game has 33 adventures (http://www.fosters-home.com/forum/showthread.php?t=315), but the game makes you play through the current updates set first. Once you have finished this months six it will giving you earlier adventures untill either you finsih all of them or the next update happens.

If you started playing the game as a new player at the start of this month it whould give you adventure 28,29,30,31,32,33 and then 1,2,3,4.. etc...

Could someone explain the point system to me?

It seems that just when I think I've figured it out, it gets random on me.
I try to play every day, (but can't always), always do a favor, and here and there use the "call a friend" to empty out a spot or two on the bar. But, sometimes I am credited when I "call a friend" and sometimes not.

I'm fairly dense, so please bear with me. ;)

Exacly what do you mean by points and point system. if you mean the number of each chore to do, that is a random number that is smaller if you login at least every other day.

Sorry I wasn't clear. I basically play similarly to what you mentioned on your other post:

My question is about the citizenship points - under what circumstances do you receive citizenship points when you use the "call a friend" option to complete chores.

You mentioned that using the point will complete half - rounded up - of your total number for one chore. I have noticed that isn't always true for me.
For example; One time, (at band camp), I had a full friendship bar, completed 4 out of ten of a chore. I opted for the "call a friend" option but it took 3 "friends" to complete the chore. Shouldn't it have only taken two?
And this instance I was credited. Actually, I had three or four Citizenship points to start and this filled the bar.

However, other times using the "call a friend" gives no points at all.

Here's what it details in the help files.

It must have been a glitch, Sparky originally reported getting more than one popularity for favors when she first started playing.

It should have taken only 2 friends to complete the remaining 6 and you should have recieved only One citizenship.

also I have experimented to see what happens when you call a friend. It actually does the chore for you. for example I went to the Dock and called a friend to finish Feed Cyrex the Sea Monster. when I turned off notey there was a Big Bite out of the Dock. Thus the Duties remaining are randomly Done for you.
I have had the game crash in the middle of doing chores and under that situation. The chore can randomly change, Usually keeping the Numbers but changing the locations and sometimes changing the floor of the chore.

yes it is posible to catch up.

Playing evey day it takes an average of two weeks to complete each update.
Thus when people "Caught up" they then have to wait for a new update to be released next month (like myself), While people that started Later are able to continue playing without waiting for the game to expand.

Is this normal or am I experiencing a glitch? Also, what qualifies as a collectible? I have the outer space furniture and I've collected 2 buddies from Goo but the present icon never shows up next to my name. Do you see the present icon or just other people? :confused: :confused:

You never know when CN is actually going to update anything.
but they usualy get the update in before 11AM EST (only on weekdays, Cartoon Network NEVER updates the web site on weekends or Holidays.)

When you start a new Game/or level/ Look at the High Score list.(Not the World High Score). There will be gift boxes next to about 5 scores. You need to beat that Top score to get all the Collectables from that Level. Once you have beat that original top score then there are no more collectables from that level. The gift Boxes on the score board are there to represent milestones for you to beat to get collectables and they are not accurate anyway. for instance some games give about 8 collectables while most give only 5 collectables.

On many of the earlier adventures it was not too bad when Bloo did not specify where something was since, there was only the first and second floor. But It is a bit difficult for people now playing these older adventures since many of them were proboly unaware of the adventures being restricted to just the few floors that were out when that adventure was released.

That is so true!!! At least now he says "Go get ____ from the fourth floor." There were quite a few adventures and favors that would be much harder now, considering there were only two floors opened back then. The marker and the celery are two that were mentioned recently that definitely fall under that category.

My daughter and I just finished an Adventure with Bloo on her account that kinda falls along the same lines as the celery and marker ones.

It's the Adventure where you help Bloo find the Foster's buried treasure. Bloo tells you to "go get a shovel and meet me in the front yard."

Here's a hint: Only the 1st and 2nd floors were unlocked at that point. ;) So think about where you would find a shovel on those floors and that may help you locate it.

Chances are someone is going to come across that Adventure, but they more than likely won't look here for the answer. :P But I thought I'd post it here anyway, since we were talking about Bloo not being specific in earlier Adventures.

OK, this happened to me before where Bloo said, "Let's wait a few days," before we do a new adventure. Then around the 7th of the month, he starts giving them to me again.

This time I got the "let's wait" message way back before March 7th, and I'm STILL getting it. Was March short on adventures or something? I dont' think I'm doing anything wrong...

I believe there were 3 Adventures this past update, because there was only one new game released.

The date you finish all Adventures isn't as significant, except when it would be update time. All, or at least most, of the dates are listed on the website as to when the updates are scheduled. February had an update on the 19th, so that's probably why you were done around March 7th. The next update is March 19th, so you'll be able to do the Adventure you're waiting for then.

Don't worry, you aren't doing anything wrong. 8-) Sounds like you've been on top of the game, and are all up-to-date on things. I just finished the last Adventure to get all caught up a few days ago, so I'm like you, waiting for the next update. :bloogrin:

Bloo started that "Lets Wait" message back in September,

I just wanted to add, there is one adventure for each minigame level to unlock. When you finish all the adventures you get the "Lets Wait" message from Bloo, there are several of us that have been keeping up with the game and get that message frequentlyl.

as Vicks points out, there is no significance to the actual date you complete something. THe only significance is if there are adventures waiting in the Queue or do you need to wait for the next update. If the only thing you have to do is wait for the next adventure, then you can spend the time playing mini-games.

I think I recall the duck being in the bathroom on the second floor in the upper left corner...but I'm not sure. Maybe just check all the bathrooms? He should have told you where it was. Good place for this post,
make sure to call a friend before your Favor bar fills,
otherwise you will not be able to do a favor.

the game uses a High CPU load, so it may be many things running on your computer, and contex switching of your OS that is causing the slowup in the game. To make the games run smoother, close other running programs, and tools that are not needed but running in your taskbar. If your not sure how to do this, talk with someone that is, because you do not want to close anything that protects or is neccisary for your computer.

also take the time to read through some of the older threads in this forum, there are descriptions of each minigame as well as other tidbits, that could be helpfull.

I cannot seem to bounce from one orange spring platform to the other without falling off the tracks. I got past this level only once & honestly don't know how I did it. :-[

I find this game gives you too much bounce when you jump using the 'z' key.

usually you can only not do a favor if
1) your in the middle of a favor
2) your in the middle of a bloo adventure
3) your favor bar is full.
other than that it should work.

As for the Buddies they are in the two new Minigames,
Glider and Choo Choo
so unlock levels of these,

Get the collectables from beating the hight Scores.

I have a couple of questions about the chores and favors. I have been stuck for a while now on the chore of turning off the third floor fans. I don't see any fans on the third floor to turn off and this is the last chore of the three I have currently. How do I find the fans and complete the chore so I can go on the next adventure with Bloo? 2. I am stuck on the favor that requires you to bring Eduardo an apple. I've got the apple and am now stuck trying to find him...I've looked everywhere, it seems. Where is he? Thanks so much!

There is a room toward the "bottom-middle" of the third floor. Think of it as where the staircase is on the 2nd floor. That room is called the Nap Room, and Wilt is in there. There are a few (3?) fans in there. In case you know where the Tea Room is on the 3rd floor, same area the Library is on the 2nd floor, the Nap Room is opposite that.

I believe in the Feb Update and March Update threads someone mentioned where Eduardo is. If you are still working on the new Adventures (which you should be), then Eduardo is in the last room to the left on the 4th floor. He's in the room at the bottom, closest to you. When you finish with all the Adventures within a month's update, then the friends move back to previous areas in the house. But we're all still on March Adventures, so that's where he'll be.

nobody ever knows what CN will do, but I think the Updates to the game end next month, but the game should continue. otherwise why would there be the adopt-a-friend-a thon

as for finishing the albums, just keep unlocking minigame and then get the high score, thats all there is to it.

This is just generic chatter that the friends say. There is nothing he'll do, and no carrots to find. Mr. Herriman isn't one of the people you can do favors for.

Yeah it does kinda suck, especially for the people who have just recently joined in the game. Remember, though, this is a game aimed at kids, particularly young kids, as it isn't too complicated, and very easy to acheive things. I have two young ones that absolutely LOVE the game, because it's something "they" can do (without Mom doing it for them). Most other games on CN are above their game-playing skill level.

If you haven't already, make sure you read the Tutorial in Notey, and check out Sparky's awesome Guide (http://www.fosters-home.com/houseparty/index.htm) of the game and all it's features. That should help answer any questions you may still have about the game.

Also, try to avoid playing the game right before the everyday update, which is around midnight EST or 9pm PST. I think the program might miss the update if the game is on and that's probably what got me into trouble two days ago. Anyway, good luck :)

I try to always, always, always keep at least one of my favor spots open. At least twice now I haven't paid close enough attention and I filled it, finished my chores and didn't realize I still needed to do my daily chore. I try to keep just two friends' faces, and that's it. Each day when I do another favor, I have someone help me with one of my chores. That way I won't get "off."

The only thing it really affects is when I finish an Adventure with Bloo, I can't go unlock a mini-game right after. I'd have to wait until the next day when I do a favor to go unlock one.

On some occations if you start playing before midnight the game glitches and kicks you out with some error thingy around midnight. and then if you were playing a minigame, the minigame scores would reset.

So if you do not finish your chores in the first day you log on, (ie, you do 2 of the three chores) then you will be stuck with that third chore until it is completed. then you would have to wait till the next game day to get new chores.

Like vicks said, it is best to always keep one Favor spot open. to do this, when you log in, go do the easiest 2 chores, then for the hardest chore finish half of it then call a friend to finish it up. I usually keep 3 friends in my bar allowing me to call a friend each day even if I do not call a friend one day, I can call 2 the next day.

It is supposed to end in May. Many people speculate that it means there will be no more updates after that but the game will continue to run because it doesn't make sense to have a big promotion for BFAHP in April only to have it be over in a month. I certainly hope that they will decide to have new updates due to the popularity of the game.

I can't seem to find the "Security" that keeps Cheese outta the house, which Bloo wants to use to keep all the friends in the house. I got the video camera from Wilt which Bloo wants to use to video tape the friends coming out into the hallway. :o

I don't recall offhand where it was. Check in Notey and see if Bloo tells you where to go get it. I'm thinking he tells you. For some reason I'm thinking it's at the front door or on the fourth floor, but that could be a different part of the Adventure. I'm thinking Bloo does give a hint as to where in the house to get it though.

I jsut noticed, It looks like they expanded the Bloo and Mac Album to take a lot more photots,

Asside from the 6photos, for the adventures for this month. there is another 40 photos left in that bool.

So the game must have more updates comming.
The game room currently has room for more mini-games, so maybe another 1 or two updates, we will see.

If they do not expand the books again there will most likely be 4 more minigames.

It's #81 (top right on page 21).

#80 is from the "Bloo looks for Dinosaur bones" adventure and I'm pretty sure that's the last adventure in that album.

Any player out there maticulous enough to know where #81 should be coming from?

It sounds like you have more bloo adventures to complete in order to finish that book, most of the bloo adventures are grouped together.

Hi guys, I just started playing and I'm highly addicted to this game.
Quick question - when does the server recognize that you need to do new duties? I've been having server issues all week, and for the past two days, Mr. Harriman has said that all my duties are now complete. Is anyone else getting the same problem?

Several of us had experienced the same problem before and it was discussed in this thread (post #99-103). Monty has posted a detailed explanation of how that happened and the above is just part of it. I believe it'd be helpful if you go back and read the entire post :)

The "new day" starts midnight ET (9pm Pacific) each day. Occassionally there will be glitches or server issues, but it shouldn't last too long.

A couple things to keep an eye on:


Make sure that you have finished chores each day. There have been times I missed finding that last item.
Make sure you aren't in the middle of a favor or Adventure. You won't be able to do anything else until you complete what it is you are currently doing. You can always cancel it, but you can only do one at a time.
Keep an eye on your chores/favor bar. Above it are faces of friends you have done favors for, who are now waiting to help you with your chores. You can have up to 4 filled, however you'll want to keep at least one spot empty so you don't do what I, and others, have done. I've finished my chores, went to do a favor, but since my 4 spots were filled, I couldn't go do a favor. Then my bars were off and when I went to do an Adventure with Bloo, I couldn't unlock a mini-game the same day. I had to wait until the next day. My suggestion is to do a favor first, go do your chores and have someone help you with part of at least one chore, so you'll always have a slot open for the next day.

I do not think anyone has logged what photos came from what game, If it is any help, The CoCo album is the last album so, start from the current update and work backwards checking each minigame to make sure they were completed. The bottom of the logon screen specifies what month each minigame was released.

P.S. I figured I should add this tidbit as well... You aren't specific enough when you ask where the shovel is. It would have been helpful to at least know what adventure you are on. Check with what Bloo told you. Sometimes he tells you where to get it, sometimes he doesn't. You can do that by going to Notey and clicking the question mark. Also, go look in places where it would be obvious a shovel would be found. A bathroom or bedroom obviously wouldn't be one of those places. I know this has been asked, so use the search feature to search this thread or other threads on the board. You'd be surprised what you find by reading and looking hard enough. ;)

I think the staff that is in charge of rolling out the update to the servers does not work on weekends, evinings or on holidays.

It is common for the updates to really be rolled out on Working days.
