Yes, I got this at the mystical abyss. It looks like the one Wilt use, but it has purple instead of blue.

So I was so angry that I just had to do this.

Not exactly a wristband (actually, it's a bracelet made out of yarn) but it has Wilt's wristband colors. I like it.

(I hope the images are of a good size... again)

That first picture..... it's missing something.

There we go.

On a more constructive note, it doesn't look purple to me, though it's probably the lighting.

Cool! How'd you do that? 8-)

It doesn't look purple to me, either. You could find some blue dye and touch it up a bit, and then it would be perfect! I've looked all over the place for a red, white and blue wrist band and those tube socks with the red and blue stripes, with no luck, though they used to be easy to find in little out-of-the-way stores and dollar stores. Now that the shoes are back in style, you'd think that SOMEBODY would capitalize on the wrist band and the socks!

I was on the look out for those same wristbands, and I found this a few weeks back. Haven't got around to buying a pair, but I will soon =)

Awesome bracelet, by the way. I'd wear it =D

It looks better now.

I thought on that before, the problem is that if I do that, probably the ink will go to the white section of it.
Well, maybe it doesn't look purple to you, but here it does.
And, he, I got it in one of those machines were you put some money and then it gives you something (in this case the wristband). A boy got the real Wilt wristband, but I never asked him to change it for mine.

I have this mental image of Mysterious Girl, much like Bloo in "The Big LeBlooski", repeatedly begging for quarters to put in one of those claw machines, desparately trying to snag the real Wilt wristband, just like Bloo was trying for the paddleball, and some dorky little kid coming up and grabbing it with the first try after she'd warned him that the machine was rigged, lol!

You can prevent the ink from "bleeding" into the white area by snuggly placing a rubber band at the border between the two colors and just dipping the purple end into the dye long enough to soak up some of it.

I would NEVER waste my money in that way!, actually, this wristband was the first one which I got, so I just decided to keep it.
I suppose that dorky little kid (it was a teenager of about seventeen, in fact) got his wristband before I did, because just after I got mine, another kid came, put some money on the machine and, surprise!, the machine stucked!...
I'm lucky!
And sorry if my sentence "I would NEVER waste my money in that way!" sounds rude, I really like your "mental image of me trying to grab the Wilt wristband", it's really funny. 8D Now, the thing is that I never had to try to grab it (fortunately), I just turned that thing (I can't remember the name) were you put the coins.

Do you think it's okay if I use food coloring to dye my wristband? I think it's totally NOT okay to do so, since that ink is made to give color to food, not to fabric. But it will take a long time until I can get that dye, so I just want your opinion.

Food dye will NOT be permanent on cotton (http://www.pburch.net/dyeing/fooddyes.shtml). It will work on wool, silk, and (sometimes) nylon (re: animal fibers), and you must heat-set it after it dries with an iron (on the appropriate setting for that fabric).

Unfortunately, sweatbands are usually made of terry, which is in fact cotton.

Then I think I'll have to wait a long time until I can dye it.
Thanks for the info.
