So,Tonight's the big night! It's new years eve! How are you celebrating it?

I'm watching a webcam of The London Eye in London England watching how it's like over there on new years.

Hey I've been on the London Eye, it's great! Tonight, however I'll be on the Berrow Golf Course on the Somerset Coast watching the fireworks in Cardiff, Weston-Super-Mare and Burnham-On-Sea and looking out over the Bristol Channel into the Atlantic Ocean. It's really wet and windy tonight and celebrations all over UK are being cancelled but it should'nt be too bad here.

The celebrations in Sydney looked brilliant and Tapei too. It's just over an hour now. Best work fast!

oh and I forgot to add

Happy New Year Everybody!

The same to you, and to everyone. :)

I'm apparently spending New Year's Eve here, although I'll probably duck out for an hour or so later on, just to pick up a few supplies.

I don't really do anything to "ring in the New Year", but on New Year's Day, I'm going over to my friend's house to eat a traditional Southern New Year's Day dinner of Hoppin' John, collard greens and hog jowl.

If you don't know what "Hoppin' John" is, it's black-eyed peas cooked with rice and seasoned with ham. It's supposed to be for good luck; the peas represent loose change, so for every black-eyed pea you eat, that's supposed to be how many pennies you'll keep during the year, while I have no idea what the rice is for! The collard greens are supposed to represent cash money; the more you eat, the more cash you'll keep. Hasn't ever worked for me yet, though. Not sure what the hog jowl is for, but it tastes good, especially after being broiled in an oven on a roasting pan until it's all crispy!

My dad was telling me something like that earlier (the deal with the black-eyed peas). 8D He also told me that eating 12 grapes can bring you good luck, too. Not sure if I believe in any of them, but it's interesting, to say the least. :)

It seems as though I've spent the majority of the day studying for finals.

It's the absolute best way to spend January 1!

Sarcasm was used in the above statement.
